Me and my Hubby went here for my birthday , he set up a wonderful surprise we sat outside to enjoy the view in a perfectly cozy spot with the fire place on , we ordered Rusty Pelican for 2 it was to die for ! And for dessert my fave ! Warm Cafe Con Leche which was like a coffee caramel lava cake with yummy Cookies and Cream ice Cream , by far the best birthday dinner ever !!
Thanks Rusty was the best !!

Always a great experience here and dont forget they have firepits going at night and in the winter.

When they brought me the account, I paid with my credit card, they brought me a little machine for me to choose the option of 18, 20 or 25 percent of the total. I also had a .the other option. That is to say another amount. I put that option, leave 50 dollars and the girl with a tremendous attitude or in bad shape came to claim me and I told myself then do not put the option to choose the tip

To enjoy 5 stars, you need to provide me with good service not just at the beginning but at the end. Valet service is horrible, came to book my wedding venue, went elsewhere. Not having my guest go through such nightmare.

We just moved to the area and were recommended to try this place. We were super excited. My boyfriend booked reservations on 11/29 for my birthday specifically. We were sat outside and I wish I could remember our server's name. He kindly gave us menus and promptly took our order - however he did not check on us one time after we got our food. We even waited an additional 15 mins just to ask for the check. We had ordered the short rib empanadas to come out before our lobster tail and it never came. The gal who was outside bussing assured us "all the food was coming out of the kitchen now" even though we were already done with our dinner at that point. Still nothing came. To our surprise our waiter tried to make it seem like it was our fault initially before taking blame. The only reason I'm posting about this experience is because I've been a server and a bartender for years. My boyfriend also currently works in a restaurant. I get it when folks get super busy, it's harder to check on your tables and be everywhere at once. I just didn't think the initial argumentativeness was tasteful at all and I felt attacked for saying something at all. For the amount of $ people are spending here I expected better service. Lobster and fries were fantastic and so was the view, but we left hungry. I'll give this place another try in the future.

The place is beautiful, the view is amazing, and the food is great. The only dislike memory I have is that when I was ready to go it took a while for the billing process before I could actually leave. I believe they were under staff.

Amazing view, so so food. Suggestion is to go out to dinner someplace else and go here for post dinner drinks and view only.

We had a surprise bday celebration here for my niece and we loved everything most of us got the salmon with mashed potatoes it was great and we shared our bundt cake with the waitress because she was fantastic and the manager was very nice we just loved everything thank you

Very nice restaurant, good for family, good food and the big thing is the location and the view absolutely stunning! Looking over down town MIAMI only paying the bill!! You definitely need to try the black cherry cheesecake its one of the best.

My wife and I attended a post-funeral function in one of the private rooms with approx. 50 persons and this establishment did an outstanding job. They accommodated additional guests that showed up, served a delicious selection of salads, entrees, veggies and deserts. The servers were polite, professional and very attentive. I ve visited the RP several times over 30 years and they have really stepped up this restaurant. The views of the bay are spectacular. The wine & coffee table service was excellent. My brother-n-law looked down from heaven and was happy his loved ones & friends had this wonderful gathering. Thank you.

The ones they receive you are very rude, they take a long time and the restaurant is very elegant in the photos with tablecloths and it's nothing like an expensive Denny's ... I don't recommend it at all ... thanks

This place is always exceptional. When it comes to location there is none better. Their food is fairly priced for the spot they re in and for the high quality, upscale casual dinning. Events like office parties, birthdays or graduations are a must at the Rusty Pelican!

Was recommended to go to this lovely water side spot by my brother who lives in Brickell. Firstly, the food was PHENOMENAL. Exactly as pictured. It was delicious. The fish freshly caught.

Beyond the food and the ambiance (which was stellar), was our waiter Jose who made the entire experience go from ordinary to EXTRAordinary. He knew he menu and ingredients inside and out. He recommended great food and wine depending on what we were feeling. His insight into the hot spots and other low key food options in Miami were incredibly helpful, and all together he was one of the best parts of the dining experience. Miami is his hometown and he sure had a passion for the city. Love to meet more like him. Thanks for a wonderful night!

Dirty restaurant, poor service and the food is below average.

I had my wedding in Rusty Pelican a month ago. Stacey Gershon who is the catering sales manager, helped me through the whole process. All that time me and my husband were 100% sure that she is very responsible and everything will be the way we planned to!! But.... we were mistaken...!!! First, she promised to let people in to decorate the room in early morning and she said that it will be no events except our wedding....But when me and all the bridal party came 2 hours before the ceremony, we found all the flowers in the bridal sweet and florists who were just standing and waiting for the permission to start decorating the room. I was very angry when I saw it, because it was 2 hours before my wedding and the room was completely unready. When I asked Stacey what is going on and why my florists are waiting for 6 hours to come in and start working, shd it e said that another party are having lunch in the room where supposed to be my wedding in 2 hours....!!!! Can you imagine what was happening to me at that time....?!! But she said that they are finishing soon and it will be enough time for everyone to decorate and prepare the room for my wedding...! So...of course, turned out that it wasn't enough time..!!!
After the ceremony, when me and my husband wanted to do pictures in the decorated room with the cake, center pieces and etc. while guests are having a good time in the cocktail hour, we came to the room and waiters and florists were still working, so we couldn't take any pictures...!! Then when the party started, candles were not lighting on...table numbers were switched, so my closest friends were sitting to far from me, because of the wrong numbers on the tables!!! A lot of my guests said that Stacey was very impolite and responded on simple requests,as give the napkin,very unprofessional and rude!!! Also, during the reception dinner was a lot of mistakes too....!! They supposed to put a display with the raw bar, which cost more than 1000$, but they decided to serve it on each plate without asking us...without our permission!!! We also ordered the dessert station and when we came to the room, it wasn't there, we just found the empty table with empty plates...when we asked why desserts are not on the plates, they said that it's hot in the room and they will bring it later when the sun goes down...But again, they decided it by themselves and no one asked US about it....I wouldn't let them leave the empty plates standing on the dessert table....they supposed to put the desserts at the beginning of the party or bring the whole table later on...!!
I can't say that the service was great also!! We paid for the open bar and before the wedding i made sure with Stacey that the bar will serve all the mixed drinks..!! She confirmed it and then turned out that they refused to serve mojitos at the wedding. Can you imagine, how I was upset when I found out next day, that only person who wanted to drink mojito was my mom and she couldn't drink it...
I was drinking champagne all night, but I had to go to the bar by myself and asked for it...can you imagine when the BRIDE goes to the bar, not the waiter goes to the bride....!! Also, one of the staff members broke the glass at the dance floor and he just picked up the big pieces of the glass but didn't even vacuum clean it...and we had 2 small kids playing and dancing at the dance floor all night...!!!
I wished our friends could tell us at the wedding what is going on, but nobody wanted to ruin our wedding and complain about anything...so a lot of things we found out the next day when they saw us...!! And I can live with everything that you just read, our wedding itself was great and not any restaurant, in this case Rusty Pelican, couldn't ruin the warmest atmosphere with the lovely family and closest friends we had to celebrate our Big Day....but it just for you to know that Rusty Pelican is not the right place for you to celebrate important moments in your life!!!!

The food was ok. Very friendly staff though. Great scenery. I did expect for the food to taste much better especially for the price.

First of all, the room was wonderful, tidy, and has a gorgeous interior. I liked the sweetness of the pork, it was a good fit for the fried rice. The service has been outstanding. It's highly recommended!

Great views of the city. Food and service not so great. Waited almost an hour for 4 sandwiches which only came with excuses of how busy the kitchen is. Had to send one back that was barely cooked. Table next to us also had to send a sandwich back. Sweet potato fries tasted like frozen not fresh. Waiter seemed unable to handle the tables in his area was constantly getting help.
Great view, overpriced food, small portions, slow service, disinterested manager. Walked out as hungry as I walked in. Will not be coming back.

Just finished enjoying a very late and romantic dinner with my husband celebrating our 11th year wedding anniversary. The view is spectacular no matter where you sit. The food was delicious and the price is responsible.

Are there for the first time tonight. Food was delicious the staff was extremely friendly the service was wonderful and the atmosphere cannot be beat. Orlando was our server and he was excellent. Bambi at the hostess station was very sweet and seated us at the table we desired. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good meal with great service, a beautiful view and fair prices!

Let's me just say that for the first time at Rusty Pelican I had a great experience. My girlfriend and I where celebrating our 4 year anniversary and had a table outside reserved for us. The view was amazing , the food and service we got from out waitress was A1. Valet parking was only 8$ , I think that the only thing this place is missing is some music. That being said this isn't a place I would go to all the time our tab was a bit pricy for just dinner but I can understand that you pay for the service you get. This isn't a place to go to every weekend but for special occasions I would recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed a lot the lunch, the view and the service in Rusty Pelican. We went there after time spent on Virginia Beach, just on other side of the road. The fish sandwich was delicious! Highly recommended

The best views of Miami at sunset, to eat or snack, is passable, the squid and snacks are good.

WORST EVER....... Ihave been living on Key Biscayne and going to Rusty Pelican over 25 years. This was the WORST EVER... First time in my life I had a Single Egg Benedict. Oysters had nothing served with them ie sauce, chopped onions, tabasco, French Toast was a dry slice of bread without egg batter. We sent the French Toast back twice and still same. They claim they serve Jumbo Shrimp that is 1 lbs but the shrimp was far away from jumbo and the weight was half of that. Mebu does not explain everything clear as it says potatoes n the side but they serve sweet potatoes. They are BUSY so losing my business wont hurt them but I Will NEVER GO BACK.....

Great view of Miami harbor. Had salmon and pulled pork sandwiches. Really good, nicely done. Lunch prices aren't terrible, dinner prices are very high. This is a nice upscale restaurant, not a dive.
