Outstanding filet and lobsters tonight for dinner. Best french onion soup and shrimp cocktail and dessert too

Amazing meal. Pictures include: Arugula Berry Salad with goat cheese croutons, Seafood Sherry Bisque, King Crab with green beans and blue cheese garlic mash, Filet Neptune (Australian lobster tail) with Asparagus and bearnaise sauce, and Key Lime pudding with espresso.

Russell's is one of the best fine dining experiences in Buffalo! We were greeted by none other than Russell himself! Plenty of well dressed staff to meet your every need and yet allow you to have your own privacy. We went with the Dinner for 2 steak deals with several upgrades. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Yes, it's a bit pricey but not beyond what you'd expect for a fine dining experience.

Been here a few times now and I'm not totally sold. Service, atmosphere and food are always pretty good...but pretty good isn't good enough in my book for what you pay here. Buffalo always has been, but even more so now, a fantastic foodie town and there are lots of start up or lesser priced restaurants that in my opinion offer far better value.

Attended a wedding reception. A little too fancy for my tastes but if you are into that kind experience, it seemed like a nice place.

hands down the best resturant iv ever eaten at and iv eaten at lots of quote 5 star resturants.... i highly recommend Russell's above anybody else and the service is out of this world.... im from canada and they went out of their way to make me feel at home especially their elegant hotel ... thank you guys !!!! your awesome please dont change and i look forward to my next visit.....

We had a retirement party for a friend at Russell s last night. Everything was perfect the food, the staff, the ambiance and the attention to detail is impressive. Robert helped me organize the event and he did an outstanding job. He deserves a raise! Russell's has a remarkable staff who seem to take pride in giving their best and they made every aspect of the evening enjoyable. It was a lovely surprise and a pleasure to meet Mr. Salvatore who greeted everyone as they arrived. Congratulations on your extraordinary restaurant and thank you for a wonderful experience. I m sure every one of us will be back.

Tim took care of us this evening. He was outstanding and if there is a way to request him, I definitely will! Our meals were amazing and the atmosphere was perfect and relaxing! Mr. Salvatore you have a fabulous establishment, thank you to you are your fantastic team, especially Tim!

It's Russell Salvatore's place ... What isn't awesome about it?

Good steak restaurant with nice ambiance. I was dining alone and was still treated well. I had a bone in rib eye which was a bit rougher than it should have been. Obviously a popular place. The lot was full of cars and I almost gave up. I wound up getting right in.

Excellent service & food beyond a delicious description!

When my daughters were growing up I took them here on many an occasion for a nice treat. They would get nice new dresses, and they were taught how the staff would open the car door for them, and how to thank the waiters and staff and Russel himself would often greet them and charm them to pieces, both at his Salvatore's Restaurant and now at Russel's Steak house. The food is always perfect, and you can go there for a special occasion or just for an after work steak dinner. Strongly recommend.

This was my first time there and the best decision I made. It lives up to its reputation in absolutely delicious food and absolutely wonderful customer service (Bob M. was my server). The rest of the staff was equally helpful. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Salvatore and he was gracious and kind in taking the time to speak to me. I would highly recommend.

Best steak by far in all of WNY! And they put Happy birthday to me on their sign out front and we never knew they would do that..class act!! Love, love, love

When celebrating a special occasion, Russell's is frequently mentioned as the place to go. I gave our experience 3 stars only because the food was exceptional. I guess we expected every part of the evening to be above average, but the service was sub par. We had a reservation and arrived at exactly 630 and were advised our table wasnt ready. No big deal here i guess. After we were seated the waiter arrived with a mask on but had his nose hanging out. Not cool. There were two plates set at the table and when the waiter removed them, there was a glob of something, looked like salad dressing or mayo on the tablecloth. YUK. We ordered an appetizer and the dinner for two. Waiter brought our salads and we had to remind him we had ordered an appetizer. So he removed the salads to who knows where and brought our appetizer. When he later returned with the salads, they were kind of soggy from being dressed 20 minutes earlier. All seems like no big deal, but absolutely not the experience we were expecting for the money we spent. Won't go back!

Everyone talks about this place like it's the golden standard for food in WNY. I've been there 4 times, and it's never blown my mind. It's been ok - the food has been cooked correctly, but it has never really lived up to the high cost of eating there. If given the choice, I would go to Chop House any day.

If you want a good steak with top notch service, it's Russell's of course!! We were celebrating my brother in laws 60th birthday and I can't of a better place than Russell's, the meal and atmosphere was just awesome. Looking forward to going again real soon.

It's a very pleasant dinning experience. Russell is there to great you. What a classy man. The decor is pleasing, the waiting staff top notch and the food was excellent.

Rack of lamb was very good. I ate in the bar area and the menu was very limited. I'm not sure if there is a different menu in the bar area compared to the restaurant. I was expecting more steak options... kinda dissappointed. Garden out front was awesome!

My husband and I had dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary and had wonderful time. The whole dinner from the bread to the coffee and dessert was delicious. Our server Julie was so nice along with all the staff.

Great place. It's worth every penny. Very classy ambiance, the best service and the food is fantastic! It was our Anniversary dinner and they put a congratulatory message on the big screen outside. Ask for Allen, great waiter.

We had reservations for a party of ten on a Sunday evening. One and a half hours before our long standing reservation we were contacted by Russell's stating they could not accommodate us. This was to be a going away dinner for very good friends. Rather than celebrating and remembering a wonderful dinner together, the ten of us will be sharing this experience frequently with many!

Hand over foot service, never once did my cup go empty or did I have to ask for anything. Truly quality service.

My husband and I happened on this steak house on our way home from Toronto. We will return!! Excellent service and the food is exquisite. The waiter/waiting staff was so professional, efficient, yet still added to the experience. Food was delicious, meat expertly cooked, and the lobster Mac and cheese is a MUST. The entire experience is definitely worth the extra dollars.

We just went on a week vacation. We stopped here first. We are still talking about how great it was. Cocktails were delicious. Blue cheese olives were money. The clams casino and seafood stew were amazing. Service was wonderful. Wish I lived closer, but we will be heading back from Pittsburgh soon.

Amazing steak and the Tuesday special is a great treat for the price.
