Most high end, hotel and steakhouse in Buffalo. Russell makes everyone feel like family, he checks in on everyone of his guests every time I have been there. The package deal where you get the Royal Suite and 90 off bill is amazing. Bill of food basically all paid for, and only a $50 up charge. Room is classy, but comfortable. Feels as if I never left home. Always will return to Russell's and will always recommend the hospitality. Have been staying here for years, since its very also close to Airport and Downtown, never once an issue. I also think having the Airport be that close is another benefit.

Very disappointed with our experience last night. My boyfriend and I love this place, and it is our go to for anniversary s, birthdays, or a night out. The server we had last night took over 15 minutes to take our drink order and even greet us, gave us no attention at all, and also didn t explain the menu and just asked what we wanted. While watching other tables get full service and explanation of the menu and specials. I felt as if I was just at any old restaurant, and not the Russels experience I m used to. So our special night out that we were looking forward to, wasn t so special due to service and I was really looking forward to it. I gave three stars because the food was excellent as always and my steak was cooked perfect. I m not sure if this is where we will be celebrating anymore.

Hands down the best place to enjoy a fabulous meal and celebrate a special occasion. While Russell's is a more expensive restaurant, you will not be disappointed in the level of service and the quality of the food. The experience as a whole is worth every penny spent.

I was a member of a banquet group which ate there on January 24. We ordered from a special menu at a cost of $60. The soup was luke warm and salty. The main entree also was luke warm and the baked potato was overcooked. They need to invest in a plate warmer. For dessert, only two options were offered and had been prepared and stored in a cooler prior to serving. Needless to say, I was disappointed for the price I paid.

I'm an inspector by profession and I could find no fault with this restaurante except a little paint faded underneath their sign. It was by far the best dining experience I have had. Tie and jacket is usually perfered, but not mandatory. Don't expect to get in with flip flops. Bathrooms are handicap accessible and well designed like the rest of the restaurant. Not many charging areas for phones, but they probably don't want that anyway. The appetizers and bread were the best I had in my 45 years. Filet mignon was cooked to specs. Food complimented each other. They are a coke establishment. Their deserts were exceptional. Although they are expensive, you will get what you paid for at Russell's. It is well worth the price. Reservations are recommended.

Overall the experience was exceptional. The service was top notch. I gave it four stars because I thought the food was just good, but not necessarily great. I ordered the Chicken Oscar and the crab meat was very delicious, but the chicken and the sauce tasted plain. The garlic mashed potatoes that it came with were also over seasoned. I think it had too much garlic, and this is coming from someone who loves garlic. There was not a great selection of beers, but they had a decent wine list. I was not in the mood steak that night, but if I ever go back I will definitely try the steak to give this place a fair chance.

Excellent food, service and setting. The seafood was as good as the steaks; all twelve dinners were perfect and special requests were accommodated. We live in Rochester and will be back.

My husband and I were there last night for our second anniversary. Loved all of the attention to detail. Our dinner time was for 8:45 and we were never rushed. Time was taken for everything to be perfect. Umberto was a wonderful waiter and we were really impressed with how quickly tables were turned over. It was well orchestrated and rehearsed. The host worked with the young men to change tables over and it was nice to overhear him complementing one of the young men and telling him he did a great job staying on top of everything. Russell, the Steak a LA Russell was great, we also highly recommend the Chicken Oscar! Everything was freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. My husband simply said "This has been the best dinner since the last time we were here." Nothing compares! Thank you!

Our party of four agreed that we had the best steaks in years. Wait staff was well-trained, polite and overall excellent.

Sunday night there were 14 of us that had dinner at Russell's Steak House. Some of the family members were from out of town, and we see them once a year. We decided to try your restaurant because we heard so many great things about it. We were given two tables side by side. Our reservation was for 5:00. Two of our family members were late and didn't get there till about twenty after five. Our appetizers, meals & dessert were extremely tasty. The steak was so tender. Our waiter Nick was friendly and very polite. Between both tables our bills were over $1,000.00. We had decided to make this a yearly adventure. That is UNTIL at about a quarter to eight, Russell (the owner) came over to the table clapping his hands very rudely saying come on, come on I need this table. We were getting ready to leave anyhow but that was not the point. He was just plain RUDE. Nowhere did any of us see a time limit on the tables. We hadn't been finished with our desserts very long. He ruined a perfect evening with family. I guess having money can't buy you class. The marquis outside says to send an email to tell us how we re doing, well here you go. What a joke!

Russell's goes above and beyond when it comes to service. They anticipate all of your dining requirements without being intrusive. I enjoyed a melt in your mouth filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes. Heavenly!!

My grandparents and I had such a wonderful experience here. We loved every moment, from the cozy intimate atmosphere, to the fantastic cocktails and such great food to the point that I physically could not keep eating but emotionally I wanted to. I really do want to give a shout out to our server Kevin and his team of men in our section that ensured such a wonderful dining experience. The timing of the food was impeccable and they were all so charming and personable. Thank you all again.

If you are looking for an overall high end, wonderful atmosphere, attentive service, and decadent food restaurant to enjoy a romantic or family dinner - no better place to go! Russell is always there to greet you and make sure you are taken care of as well as having his personable staff at your beckon call. Every detail has been thought thru right down to toothpicks at the coat check when you leave! If you walk away hungry or feeling neglected, that would be your own fault.

My go-to place in the area. I come here on business 3 - 4 times each year and invariably this is where I end up. i prefer to go to the bar and eat there. Same food, open longer and great service and atmosphere.

Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. If you want a fancy date night or just wanna go out to a classy restaurant, this is the place for you. Bring a fat wallet.

Not impressed with the sanitization or lack their of with the tables in between customers. The busers are in such a hurry to get the tables ready that they are not sanitizing the salt and pepper shakers or the seats. I understand you want to keep your customers from having to wait too long for a table but safety comes first. What's going to happen if someone tests positive for Covid and it gets traced back to your restaurant? Also several staff members with their masks only covering their mouth. Masks work best if worn properly. Russ it would be nice if you offered a Veterans, military and first responders discount. You have that beautiful tribute out in front you should continue it in your restaurant.

This place is great, and I think everyone in Buffalo knows! The place was packed on a Tuesday! I was running late from a delayed flight, and they were able to time my meal almost perfectly with my arrival. Also, they pour coffee from about 3ft up, which is both impressive and a little nerve-racking.

This is a beautiful place and the food was good. The owner greets people as they walk in. But I got a distinct feeling of being invisible. I couldn't put my finger on it at my first visit. But on my second visit as my husband and I celebrated a milestone occasion. That feeling of not being acknowledged with a greeting as my husband of another race was reminded me of how ostracized I felt at my first visit. Truly this feeling disrupted my experience and left me angry. We won't be going back.

The Russel Cut was one of the best meals of my life. Not kidding.

I wanted to LOVE Russell's!!! I know the stellar reputation of Mr. Salvatore has for service and high quality dining. The night we went; while the atmosphere was amazing the service was slow. I think that might have been because we made the mistake of going near closing (something I always try to avoid). The sides were bland, the fries were over cooked and very hard and the salad was small. I hope the next visit will have better service and food.

My tuna made to perfection; my husband raved about his filet. Server and staff excellent. This classy and well managed restaurant was a full house! Enjoyed people watching as much as my entree. Russell was overseeing the evening as always. A+++++

They set up a plate for our anniversary full of desert how romantic . The filet mignon was fantastic it could melt in your mouth. The dinner for 2 is the way to go its less expensive but alo you get to choose every course of meal. Try the cranberry bread!!!!

Great atmosphere. Great service. The food was off the hook. I have never had a giant pork chop that you could cut with a fork and it melted in your mouth.

This place is outstanding for ambiance, service, and cuisine. Don't come here shopping for a bargain, but if you want the one of the finest meals available in the greater Buffalo area, you need look no further. They go nuts with with the holiday decorations, but in a way that doesn't detract from the classiness of the place.

The experience was Amazing!!! I felt as though our celebration was just as special to them as it was to us. Our server Ramondo made us all feel special, being that I was the mom of the female quests he called me Madame !!! The appetizers was just so delicious. Soup Salad and Dinner was so wonderful. Not to mention the beautiful lights outside after dark it really becomes so whimsical with such a warm friendly atmosphere. Me my girls Laurissa Ebony Angelica and Monique took pictures with Russell and they were all so nice and made the celebration so amazing.

I just can't say enough about the great experience my wife and I had. What a treat to be waited on as if we were royalty. The service is always the best. The food is far above the rest. If I could have I would have given Russell's a 10 star rating.

We were having our 43 anniversary dinner. Our waiter brought a beautiful dessert with our year decorated on the plate. As always the food, atmosphere and high level of attention to customers makes Russell's the best place in Buffalo for dinner.

The service from the wait staff is always 5-star. Andy was very polite and professional. The steaks were juicy and tender; cooked to perfection. There were other reasons for my two star rating. We waited almost an hour between our appetizers and our entrees. Apparently there was a mishap with a banquet that needed attention before our meals could be prepared. One of the sides was brussel sprouts and they we hardly cooked at all! You couldn't even pierce one with a fork, let alone chew it. And the desserts for the Dining For Two menu were upcharged! Finally, the atmosphere. I don't mind wearing a mask through the restaurant to the table. Half the patrons were dressed as if they were attending a summer picnic, not a fine dining establishment. Most of the men weren't wearing a tie. And RS himself wasn't wearing a mask, at all - not while greeting patrons as they entered, or while walking through the restaurant. What was supposed to be a birthday celebration turned into an evening of hurry-up-and-wait. Aside from the steaks, the best part of the night was the coffee & our after-dinner photos.

We went for the Tuesday special. $5 appetizers and $15 entrees from a limited menu in the lounge. No reservations are accepted for this option, so plan on arriving as early as 4:00 PM. The food and service were amazing. You may also make reservations for the formal dining room with regular menu/prices.

Dining at Russell's takes you back to a different time and that time is the the Soviet union under the communist regime. When walking into Russell's one cant help but notice the owners picture literally everywhere the last thing I'd like to be looking at is some old guy while I'm dining on my steak. Also the to complete the communistic feel the everyone is rude. When we first walked in we asked to reserve a table but when the hostess noticed all of our guests weren't there he took our buzzer until all of our guests had arrived (5 min later everyone showed up) then once we finally sat down the waiter sat us at a table of 6 but with 5 guests there was an extra chair so in order to make the table more uniform he shuffled everyone's seating arrangements around because he said the owner would want it this way. Then the waiter was seemingly almost forcing us to wait as we had all flipped our menus over to indicate we were ready to order but he had just walked passed us. Then we signaled him over to order but put his hand up to indicate a few more minutes while he was just standing in the corner as it appeared he wanted us to suck down a few more drinks before we ordered to rack up our bill.The food was ok at best way over priced and super small portions. It was one of our friends birthday so last time they had given us a desert that consisted of chocolate strawberries this time we asked if we could get the same thing and our waiter said we could be allotted one chocolate strawberry for a meal that racked up upwards of 200 dollars one might think they could spare more than a single chocolate strawberry but that's Russell's for you.
