Great food, but you have to cash a savings bond to pay for the bill.

Extremely fancy! The NY strip is to die for, I thoroughly enjoyed all parts of my meal! It's not cheap or casual in any way, but it's good!

Always a perfect meal. I had lamb chops with mashed sweet potatoes and mixed veggies. And a Caesar salad. Wow the desert I picked was key lime pudding but it was too rich and little flavor.

This was my first time visiting Russels. We went for a special occasion. It is definitely a fine dining restaurant. We were happy that the higher prices were equal to the great service. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed their food. It's nice to see the owner walking around. You can tell he takes pride in the service they provide.

Russel always greets his guests which is a nice touch.Atmosphere is relaxing & sociable .A lot of seniors on tues reminds me of a lobby at E.C.M.C. I hope they have a defibulator in house . Exciting

When walking into the restaurant, Russell stands there in a suit and shows no kind demeanor nor expresses any gratitude whatsoever for choosing to dine there. As for my experience even though we had a reservation for a 7:00pm time we had to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated and regardless of the amount of time we waited, when I'd address him to see about the remaining wait time, he'd respond in an irritated and condescending manner. When we finally got to our table, the waiter did not make eye-contact with us. When we ordered, we never saw him again until our food arrived. As for the staff in the restaraunt the servers were all miserable, had an abrasive attitude, and made it clear through their mannerisms and interactions with you that they hated their jobs and hated being there. When our food arrived, I got the steak a la russell, and my lady companion got the half range chicken, the food was cooked to perfection. I mean absolutely impeccable and melted in your mouth. Sadly, even after our food arrived, he never checked on us to make sure everything was acceptable. He was very smug in his interactions with us. I couldn't find it in myself to give him a tip after the way we were treated And the deserts were to die for, my lady got the raspberry sorbet and I got the cheesecake, and it was unbelieveable.Such a shame, perfect food and unfriendly and unwelcoming staff.

I was there yesterday Jan 8 ,2016 and from the minute we walked in the whole experience was amazing dinner was over the top. Last minute we decided to stay in the hotel and we loved it so much. Breakfast was also really delicious. This is my all time favourite restaurant in the Niagara /region.*****bravo!!!

Had a reservation for 6:45, arrived 5 minutes early, but we had to wait until 6:55... That was the only possible complaint for the whole night. Went as a date with my girlfriend, and the service, food, and atmosphere was incredible. The whole experience lasted just over 2 hours, which may seem like a long time, but it was a fantastic dinner. Compared to a more expensive restaurant we went to in NYC, Russell's beat it in every single category. Thank you for a great night, and for the amazing staff/food. See you again soon!

Beautiful restaurant with great service. Key lime dessert is very good. Filet cooked well instead of medium rare and drinks are weak.

Russell's is an experience... Not a restaurant. From the moment we pulled up until we left we were catered to and pampered. The food and drinks were amaaaazing! Our server Umberto was so thoughtful and attentive.... My parents' 30th anniversary was a night they'll always remember.

Please make sure to make a reservation well in advance and plan for an extended meal.

Not impressed. The decor was gaudy. The service - snooty. The staff seemed to hover over us, circling like vultures, folding our napkins every time someone got up to go to the bathroom. I had to stop them several times from taking dishes we were not done with yet. Kinda creepy. The prices were way to high and out paced the quality of the food. The steak was a disappointment. This place did not live up to the hype.

Always a pleasure. The rooms have the extra detail for comfort and great prices. The bar is very high quality along with all the employees. The restaurant is the best in the area. Always my 1st choice.

Gracious as well as hospitable! Mr Russell Salvatore himself was one of the people who greeted us and seated us at our table. He even took photos with us! We were there for the $15 eat by the bar on Tuesday dinner but it was still the classiest restaurant I've been to in Buffalo with delicious gourmet dishes, and fresh vegetables. Desserts were just as good!

The wife and I come here at least once a year and its normally 5 stars but this time was different. Got a Royal Suite and dinner for two package. The food was awesome as usual. Had the filet and I was not disappointed. Ac was loud. The room was hot then cold hot then cold. Had the worst sleep in my life. Wifi wouldn't connect on multiple devices. Maybe it had something to do with staying on the 5th floor. We never stayed up there before. Maybe next time will be better.

Best steaks I've ever had. Classy and great service

Last week my wife and I had dinner and stayed over night for our 12 year wedding anniversary. The food and service was excellent!! We are both looking forward to spending another evening at Russell's in the future.

Always outstanding food, drinks and service. Not cheap, but always, always worth it. It is our go too place for special events, once or twice a year.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff is was on top over everything from the water to telling us about specials to grabbing the empty plates off our table. Russ even sat us himself! 6 of us went and each got a different menu item. From the steak to the porkchop, nothing was left. Desert was the chocolate cake which was the size of the dinner plate. 5 stars across to board!

My wife Amy & I frequently have dinner & stay overnight there. First the staff is by far the best anywhere. They're very friendly making us feel welcome everytime we come in often stopping by our table to say hi even if they're not waiting on us. No matter how busy they are they never seem flustered. The food is always first rate we have never had a bad meal. Even the staff for the hotel are great. I could go on but as far as we're concerned Russell's has no equal. We will be life long patrons. Also thank you to Mr.Salvatore for his very generous contributions to the area.

I had a horrible experience here from the waiter forgetting my appetizer with my dinner to both steaks ordered being so tough you almost needed a chainsaw to cut it. I wouldn t expect this kind of experience from such a highly rated place. The dinner definitely didn t reflect the prices.

Shouldn't seat people in the lobby were folks check in. Akward and uncomfortable. For people checking in and people dining.

The service is beyond reproach, the food is outstanding, the rooms are meticulous. This is the ultimate romantic getaway. We came from Canada for Russell's hospitality and will return again.

A great special occasion place or somewhere to catch up with no distractions. It was lovely escapism with well trained, friendly and helpful waiters. The food was good and worth a visit.

I agree about the chicken Oscar I had it many years ago and the sauce was delicious but I've had it twice since and the sauce and chicken was not tasty. Everything else I had and others had was delicious.

My wife and I just love eating at the bar. It's a great atmosphere, so comfortable.

Old-school service and charming ambiance in an unexpected location. Apart from a slightly awkward interaction on check-in, the staff were friendly, professional, and respectful. All food items were well-prepared and thoughtfully presented; the Strip Steak is particularly good.

Love the whole place, a Bufflao, NY favorite place. Never dissapointed ever with the quality and very kind staff. Russ knows how to make every visit a happy and wonderful time!

My husband and I came for his birthday. We got a dinner package and jacuzzi suite. The room was great. Everything was clean everywhere. Came down a few minutes early for dinner and was a little disappointed that we couldn't get a drink at the bar while we waited because it was so busy. Dinner service was fantastic! Thank you Nick? (So sorry if I got that wrong) Food was wonderful but we did have a problem with my husband's plate. He really didn't want to say anything but I felt I should. I wasn't looking for anything out of it. Just the attention that was taken to the issue was awesome. The attention to detail with dessert was also wonderful. Ordered a bottle of wine and strawberries for the room which was there when we arrived upstairs. We don't get out much because of the kids and I can't thank you enough for making our one night out and my husband's birthday so memorable. We will be back to celebrate again.

We frequent Russel's and it has always been exceptional. Today is our 44 th wedding anniversary and we choose to come here for a relaxing dinner, we had a really nice table for two our dinner was incredible our waiter was professional BUT a table of 11 sat in front of us that were so loud and obnoxious they disturbed our whole dinner. We hurried through our dinner because it was so irritating. I was very surprised that staff did not address this situation. When we left I stopped at the desk and stated to Mark Jerge about our experience and he apologized and told me next time we come in he will give us a nice table. Wow I just found that rather insulting when you go to a restaurant like Russel's every dining experience should be nice.

We were rushed through, could barely sit, relax and talk. My salad was taken away, without asking, as I was eating it, because the steaks (excellent) were brought out. Whole meal was rushed like that.

If i could give it 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough, excellent.

Service was wonderful. Food was good but very small proportion. Had filet off dinner for 2 menu. Was still hungry when I left. Fancy fine....but come on....even the canoli fosters for dessert was miniature.
