The ole saying ' you get what you pay for ', is perfect for Russell's. You'll pay a higher price than regular restaurants around because the service, atmosphere and food is top notch. Highly recommended.

8 of us celebrating being friends; 3 nights including 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner. Very professional front desk / dining room staff. Very welcoming / accommodating. Rooms beautifully appointed and maintained. Dinner (food / service) was excellent ... without exception. Lots of fun. We'll definitely return as couples or as a group. Peggy and John Ford Canada
Top notch as always, Russ is always so welcoming and gracious for your patronage, the food is outstanding, the service is world class it is an experience to dine here
First of all I CALLED to make sure my wife and I could wear our jeans and anniversary t-shirt to dinner. We were told sure. Upon arriving at dinner the greeter emphatically told us Happy Anniversary. However when Mr. Salvatore saw us he had a look of disgust and told the seater "sit 'em at table 13". No acknowledgement no helo or Happy ANNIVERSARY. The food was scrumptious hence the 1 star. The server was also good. Thw following morning at breakfast i came to get my wife some food to take back ro the room. I came in a total of 3 times. The final time to eat myself. The buffet attendant never spoke. Although I heard her greeting others before and after me. When the buffet ran out of bagels,I SAID to her "I've been in here 3 times and you haven't spoke so now I'm asking you can you bring out more bagels". She said yes as she halfheartedly apologized. Al the while staring at my bag as if i was gonna steal food. Then another black gentleman walks in gets 4 pieces of toast to take with him as he is preparing to hit the road. The attendant tells Mr. Salvatore who chides him saying"you're not supposed to take 8 pieces of toast with you". Really. Toast??? He says I only have 4. So I interject and say lemme get this right , if he stays and eats it here then it's OK?? He says $139 night and this is what I get. I said it's sad how some people are. Another white couple who saw it complained to the front desk,as did I. 2 weeks. Haven't heard nothing. Simply pathetic. We've stayed plenty at the Grand hotel and never witnessed this treatment. Oh well. After all the front desk lady said she'd let her G.M.know. Wow. Tell the G.M. on THE OWNER.SMH!!
Russell's service is top of the line... Appetizer was stuffed banana peppers, delicious. Steaks perfect, Lamb & Lobster meals excellent. A wonderful evening with family.
5/5 rating all the way. Ignore any rating that is less than that. Russell personally goes above and beyond to make sure your dinner or stay overnight is the best experience that it can be. If it wasn't it is your fault as it seems he is here 24/7. He is approachable and will personally take care of anything you want. He will even take you to be seated at your table. Thank you very much and God bless!
Steak cooked to perfection. Staffing on top of the game and an ambience controlled by the owner s eyes- Russels Salvatore himself! Wonderful experience. I recommend it to all steak lovers and people who enjoys a fine dining experience.
Ambiance was nice but the service was so-so. We ordered a soft drink but had to remind the waiter about 3 times before getting it. He didn't ask if refills were needed either.
My biggest and most important complain is that my entree didn't taste good to me and the waiter refused to change it. Even at smaller restaurants without hesitation, I have gotten a new entree when I told the waiter about how I didn't like it.
To be fair I would say that the bread basket and butter were very tasty and fresh. Also their Red velvet cake was scrumptious.
But I still give the restaurant a three rating because of their unprofessional behavior.
Service was outstanding! Our waiter, Eric, was attentive without hovering and the team refilled water and cleared plates immediately. The dinner for two is a good deal! We each had the upgraded strip steak option and my dining partner ordered his well done. It was juicy and delicious (his words!) And my medium steak was cooked perfectly.
While the food is always excellent and the service is outstanding, when did you stop serving a vegetable with the $45 dinner for 2? I always enjoyed the asparagus with my filet, so I was disappointed when there was no vegetable, because, let's face it, it is not inexpensive to dine at Russell's. Other than that, it was great.
Russel is always out on the floor somewhere making sure that all of his customers are well taken care of. The food is always good and the service is fast ,efficient and excellent. I have yet to eat in here and not had a server who was the atenntative. I would recommend this for someone who wanted to go out for a nice dinner with friends and just enjoy some time to sit and talk
Went to Russell's for our anniversary we were up graded to the royal suite. this September 11 2016. Everything was top notched....food taste so fresh and flavorful. I can't think of a meal or a over night stay anywhere else, and I have traveled.
Fantastic experience. Great atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive wait staff. Alan took great care of us. Filet was perfect as were the sides. Save room for dessert. Service was never rushed as we were there 2 1/2 hours and it was perfect. I was semi casually dressed however many were dressed a bit more formally which made me think I may wear a suit next time since it would be fun. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, and the food is AMAZING! I try and come here when I'm in the area, I promise it's worth the stop! I highly suggest the filet and a chopped salad.
We visited the bar for a drink and small bites. We sat at the bar and enjoyed everything! Great service and delicious food. Customers and staff are so friendly. We had a great time!
Celebrated my parents 50th Anniversary this evening. Could not have been more please with everything. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing and friendly.
Berry nice place , excellent food and presentation. Service as good as it gets following Russ's tradition. You can't go wrong With the food and drinks up scale $$$$ but Worth it. D. A. Miranda
Went there for Christmas Eve dinner. Very nice decor, staff was very friendly. My wife had the oyster and lobster tail, I had the seared tuna and the New York Strip Prime. Wife loved the oysters, the lobster was a little over cooked, but good. The tuna was good and the NY Strip was ok, I typically do not get this but the other selections are really large, 26 and 28 oz on the Ribye and Porter House. Did not order those because of size, to much. I would go again.
This steak house never disappoints. The service is excellent. It is our favorite place to go to for special occasions. The dinner for 2 options are reasonably priced for all the courses you get!
We had an excellent dinner. Our waiter Tim was very courteous and went out of his way to help us celebrate our belated 59th anniversary and 80th birthday.
Went to Russell s tonight for the first time and for my birthday dinner. Everything was amazing from the hostess to the server to the food. Prime rib was amazing. Great atmosphere and service.
Excellent food and service! I ordered myself the Russels special steak ... 6/5 stars. Our waiter recommended the banana creme pie for desert and I was far from dissapointed there as well! The ambience was fantastic, too. A little pricier than many other places in the area, but you do get what you pay for. Excellence!
Custom Service is everything and if I could give a negative rating I would. When your waiter tells you don t come back because he doesn t like his tip it makes rethink the service you can expect at an upscale place. My family has dined at Russell s for years. We have rented private rooms for rehearsal dinners , entertained business clients and our out of town relatives look forward to their stays at Russell s needless to say its one of our favorite places. Sadly, after last night that will be changing. My family and our out of town relatives decided to have dinner at Russell s on their last night in town. We were seated promptly, the food came out in a reasonable time all was going well then a turn happened. A young man awkwardly came over to the table to clean the crumbs from the table while doing so he dropped the tool he used. My relative then asked if he could stop because he didn t want the service any longer since he felt the tool he used to clean the would be dirty. The young man ignored his requested continued cleaning until he was asked again to stop again he then gave a blank look and said are you serious grumbled away stopped and left. We didn t think about it and continued dining paid the bill until my husband was confronted at the table about his 20% gratuity which was beyond awkward. The waiter walked away cursing threw the check down and didn t return to table. We got up to leave he then reappeared and while we walked away loudly said don t come back. The experience left a bad taste in our mouth and we probably won t be returning.
This is the place we actually cross international boarders to eat steak at. Definitely in the top 1% of steakhouses in North America. Every item on the menu is made to perfection, and we should know. We've probably had everything at some point.
It is pricy, but what good thing is not. We add a night in the hotel, so we can drink a couple of bottles of wine. Breakfast int eh morning included. Maybe some shopping or sightseeing. Then, some wings at either Anchor Point or Duff's and back across the boarder we go.
Wonderful this place is a cut above the rest the food is phenomenal the vibe is wonderful i very much look forward to my dinners at russells also the wait staff & management including Mark, Gary, Ryan, Mike at the hotel desk, Andrew, & Russell Salvatore always treat us like family. Bruce will be missed we think he retired. Love Russell's.
Went there with my husband for our 11th wedding Anniversary . We had a very pleasant experience and enjoyed every second of our stay . The food was absolutely delicious, the best seafood bisque I ve ever tasted and the lamb was out of this world ! Friendly , courteous staff ! Hope to come back next year :)
The menu is way to expensive....Sure order off the dessert menu you will have more money in your pocket....I'm a southern girl and I was not impressed at all....I can make my steak cheaper at home
Well worth it, everything was great as usual. Can't say enough about the service, all the staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant menu is full of great options, everything that we have tried has been exceptional ! They have overnight get away packages, room, dinner and breakfast. Great get away !
Excellent restaurant for steak, especially the Steak ala Russell. Tender and juicy, tasty potatoes and green beans, not canned, thank goodness. Very classy place. Gorgeous bar with 3 huge TV screens. Full meals may be pricey but well worth the money.
The food was exceptional. Even better, the wait staff! I've never experienced such catered, careful attention. Our server was always around but not obtrusive. I'm honestly not sure what was better, the food or the service! We're coming back soon, just wish there was a table available on valentines day around 7:30 but I'm not surprised there isn't. I absolutely recommend this place.
An excellent first experience! The food was excellent - the crab fondue was tasty and creamy. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The highest compliment I can pay the chef is to say that his steak is better than my own, and that is entirely true here! The wait staff, particularly Andy S., was phenomenal. Attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive, Andy left us wanting for nothing! We will definitely return!
