One of me & my wife's best days out (and we've had quite a few) this is now my wife's favourite place to go in London. It was a beautiful sunny day so very busy but it was still so beautiful tranquil and believe it or not peaceful

Fabulous day out enjoying the gardens. Treetops attraction closed due to covid, but everything else was open. Good one way system and entry limits in place for indoor exhibits, although once you're inside you're reliant on other people's common sense!
Fab gluten free afternoon tea in the Brasserie restaurant - some of the best quality gf rolls I've had!

I couldn't see everything in one day so I absolutely have to come back! It's a beautiful huge garden where you can find thousands and thousands of different type of threes and flowers. I truly recommend it!

Very nice! Parking is around the back. Very easy to miss the entrance, go slow and keep an eye out. Food and drinks on site. As well as toilets. Come packed for the day. The question is, are they better than Singapore's botanical garden...?

Amazing collection of plants and herbs. Spent a whole day here, and we only visited half of the Garden. Must check out the Prince of Wales Conservatory and the treetop walk, both are amazing experiences to explore botany. The Kew Palace is a nice place to understand the history of this previous royal garden too (entrance fee included in the ticket).

I had my first weekend off since March and had family staying. Where do you want to go I said, Kew Gardens was the reply, so I booked online. There were seven of us, from two households, and I think, given my occupation, that I understand the current guidelines. We went in fine, lovely staff at the gate, some things were closed, but no problem, the gardens are beautiful and it was good to be out. We went for lunch - queued up, a nice lady came and gave us some menus to look at while we waited. I said there s seven of us yeah, no problem . We ordered at the till, a nice lady took the order and we sat down outside. The tables were set for six, so we moved a table over and a chair. The move was a lateral one, so any distancing would have been uncompromised by it. Then a waiter came over, with a guy behind him wielding a clipboard. Clipboard Guy immediately said there s two problems here, one is that you can t move furniture and one is that you can t sit at a table of more than six . No hello , no acknowledgement of the fact that by this point I d spent two hundred and thirty quid, no acknowledgement of a shared humanity even. I explained that we were from two households, that the move was a lateral one, that we had queued and ordered as a group of seven, but he was genuinely, really, rude. I pointed out that two of our party were children - one eleven - and he said she s too old . So we moved, as there seemed no choice. The food was fine, the gardens were beautiful, but the experience was, after that, awful. I was pleased to see that we were directly under a cctv camera, which may prove useful.

Excellent Christmas lights on display at Kew. Pre booked helps keep the number of people going in down so it's not over crowded. Great facilities all the way round, food and drink available at many points. We will be back in the summer next year.

Stunning. Worth braving the London traffic for. Great kids playgrounds too. A lovely day out for the family. Bear in mind it doesn't have free entry and is a bit of a walk from the train stations. But like I said, worth it. It's just wonderful.

Lovely botanical gardens with great hot houses and variety of plants. Lots of ongoing work to make improvements with a new children's area coming next year. Bring your own water bottles and use water fountains. Comfortable footwear recommended and a good few hours!

Better than I expected. Was so great fun that I became a member. Now I can see Kew Gardens every season. The new children's playground looked fine, though it was not open when we visited (due to open on 18 May 2019). That should be great fun for the small ones too.

Kew is magical at any time, but the Christmas lights trail is an exceptional experience. In keeping with everything they do, the organisation is first rate with no sense of rush or crush, plenty of opportunities to stop and linger, get a drink or something to eat, no massive queues for toilets. Even the music chosen to compliment the spectacular lighting displays seems perfectly attuned to each. It is a wonderful experience and feels like Christmas as it ought to be. Everyone is happy and friendly and polite to each other, no doubt enhanced by the beauty of the surroundings and the breathtaking experience. Go if you can. Very easy journey on the train and less than five minutes walk from the station ( down a street of the most beautiful houses!). The gift shop is filled with quality items both decorative and useful. A leisurely stroll through the Christmas trail and shop, plus a rest break, took us about two hours.

Was so surprised by just how enormous this place is! Absolutely fantastic day with friends and family. Would recommend getting up early and taking a picnic. It's so huge and beautiful you could spend a whole day there. But be warned dogs and ball games aren't allowed. A must see if you are in London with a spare weekend. The value for money is amazing!

It's really nice & beautiful!
However, the big greenhouse, could really do with a clean! I know it's an old building, full of history, but it really does need a spruce up! Also, for such a renowned place,I was surprised that so many of the plants look dead or dying!
Having said all that, it is a wonderful place, especially the walks through the gardens, so much to see & different focus points!
Definitely worth a trip!

Beautiful place for a full day out. Lots to see and plenty of rare plants to appreciate Kew's fantastic conservation efforts. I'd recommend taking a picnic and finding a quiet spot to enjoy the amazing well-kept gardens. Although there's enough to keep you entertained indoors on a rainy day too.

This is perhaps one of the most amazing gardens I have ever visited. I would suggest you come and come again, if you are only visiting once, plan out your day as there is so much to see and do, and if you try to do too much it will overwhelm you. A picnic would be especially welcome then you can sit outside and drink in all the gardens have to offer rather than being cramped inside some expensive cafe.

Fantastic gardens which have need enhanced further by sympathetic and stunning glass sculptures by renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Well worth a visit before his exhibition closes at the end of October.

Really lovely day out for all ages. I enjoy photography so it's a nice place to get some good images in a relaxed environment. I love the greenhouses, especially palm houseb but it can get very humid in some of them. It's a big place with a big variety of plants, and there is a train ride around if you feel like it's too far to walk. The cafes and resturaunts are quite nice but a little restricted on types of food sold at slightly high prices.

The houses have now re-opened and it's always a great experience to visit the gardens which are forever changing from one season to the next. The Temperate house is awesome. Tree-top walkway still shut. Best bring your own refreshments as the cafes are rather expensive.

Truly magical. Completely amazing location. The range of plants are so wonderful and inspiring. The history of the place is remarkable. Kew Gardens is a very special place and I have been visiting there with my family for over 30 years however every visit is different and incredibly uplifting.
Truly therapeutic, a boost of medicinal nature.
Just remember to prior book a slot online and plan to be there all day. Be prepared to do a lot of walking because there is always a lot to see.

I bought tickets for Kew online. When one of my party was unable to attend I was refused a refund by both Kew Gardens and the vendor SEE tickets. Kew is not an 'event' and it is unreasonable not to refund a ticket that can't be used. Very poor business practice. Beware buying Kew tickets online.

An oasis of calm and uninterrupted green views. I really enjoyed walking with no aim around the giant trees and discovering a zen garden with a peacock relaxing in the sun. Other highlights included finding a banana tree in the palm house and the golden dragons in the pagoda.

The only things which let it down are long toilet queues and very expensive food.

This place is amazing. They're also building a massive new kids area which would make it even more family friendly. We go there quite often and the season pass is definitely worth it. Our kids love walking around, going to the creepy crawlies kids area, the humongous glass house, the whole lot.

It gives our kids an opportunity to experience flora from all sorts of climates across the world. A lovely respite from life in London

Spent a lovely few hours wandering around Kew on Sunday. The grounds are really beautiful even in Winter, and the contrast of the cold weather and the warmth inside the greenhouses was nice and enjoyable. In particular I enjoyed the Hive installation and learning the wonders of bee hearing! Would definitely visit again and try to spend the whole day there instead of just four hours, which was a good amount but still not enough to see everything on offer.

We have just been to Richmond for a few days for my wife's birthday and we thought we would go along to Kew Gardens and have a wander around for the day. What a lovely place to spend a day. Spent a wonderful day at Kew Gardens. Great value for money. Such a range of things as well - gardens, vegetable plots, canopy walk, glass houses, Kew Palace and Palace Kitchens, art gallery

Despite having booked tickets online still a long queue to get in but it was moving rather quickly. The glass sculptures were amazing and as it was a beautiful warm sunny day it was pleasant to walk round the gardens. We spent 5 hrs with a refreshment stop. Good selection of food and drink reasonable price with very nice and helpful staff. Now planning to visit in the evening in August to walk round the gardens and listen music. Had a great day.

Well worth the price of admission - we spent a good 4 or 5 hours walking around and only saw maybe 1/3 of the grounds. Everywhere you look there is something gorgeous in your way. If you're visiting London in late spring time you'll be doing yourself a major disservice by not visiting Kew.

Been many times and it's superb all round. Beautiful and fascinating! I've spent many a wonderful time under many a tree! Or was it a bush! The blue bells, which we never saw, made for a funny story, the pulled pork sandwich was a good conversation piece, the rotting flesh smelling large flower, my friend saw is disgusting, not sure why he wanted to experience it!? All great memories! Lovely wildlife, plants, trees and flowers, the shop is awesome too!

Really well kept gardens and houses. We spent 6 hours here today and only saw about half of it. The glass exhibition pieces were brilliant. One niggle - when pushing a wheelchair all day it was slightly annoying to have to go "off road" onto to grass to let the "train" pass several times, and access to the major houses entailed walking (pushing) right around the house to get up the slope to the one ramp to the entrance level. More disabled ramps would be a big improvement.

Stunning displays for the Christmas show. The darker the night the better the rewards. Easy going route with enchanting, dazzling and calming views with music and light shows.
Food stalls lovely and fair for the kids.
Everything to like there. Excellent, thanks.
