This is always a beautiful place and a good plan. We have visited Kew gardens a couple of times. I would recommend to visit it in spring but this garden can be beautiful in any other season too. The organise some activities during the year, so pay attention to their website. The Christmas event is very cool.

As a plant enthusiast and someone who just really likes beauty, this attraction has called and will always call to me. They have more than enough to see, the garden beds are all truly beautiful, they have cafes along the way for rest and refueling. I took over 150 photos before my phone died. The only thing I would like to see to help with the modern tourists is charging stations. I wanted a picture of a Calathea flower because I have never seen one but I couldn't since my phone had died.
The garden shop and gift shop is a must as well. I was waiting for my husband to literally carry me out so I would stop finding things. If I wasn't from the States I would have bought so many plants as well.

A great day out. Staff friendly and helpful.
The train to take you around the grounds is a great idea, as it is such a large area. You have the opportunity to decide which part of the park to look at first. Could not do it all in one visit so will be back again.

Absolutely stunning even in winter. The shops and cafes are expensive, but that's expected. The orchid festival was truly amazing, however make sure to book your tickets beforehand as the queues are massive. A bit more control was needed for the queue of people who had already booked for the orchid show, but it didn't affect my day at all.

Loved this place and would highly recommend it to visit, beautiful gardens, lots to see and do, the different tropical houses, the palm house with the lake in front of it was fantastic especially as it housed some of the most amazing glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly that I have seen, we spent the whole day there and didn't get round it all. There is a tree top walk which was fun to do, children will love it if they're not scared of heights. I could go on but to be honest you need to visit Kew yourselves, well worth it.

Beautiful gardens but be prepared to walk forever.
Great looking place lots to see, but it's on a massive scale. Wear comfortable footwear, facilities are OK, but very little choice, on a hot day could only buy ice cream with no other options available, very expensive if spending for a family. Plenty of places to rest and relax and you will need them, there is a little train that you can take to get you around the park, but how you get on not too sure, lots of sign posts but not very clear at times.
Lovely place but on a massive scale, take plenty of drinks and a water bottle is useful as they have water taps at a couple of places in the park.

I visited Kew Gardens a couple of years back with my son and my Mom. I was amazed by the size and diversity. One of the most memorable things was the viewing from the tree tops.. Insane feeling walking up there especially for me who is super scared of heights. :D Miles and miles of walking with your loved ones in the arms of nature, I would highly recommend it and I'm pretty sure it's breathing in any season. This time I was running a 10k in this amazing place. :) The whole event was just well organised, heartwarming and emotional. With my entry to this race I supported a charity who takes care of people with terminal illness, most of the time some kind of cancer. I've lost many of my loved ones from this terrible condition. Between those peaceful trees, still blooming flowers, I've had the opportunity to remember them meanwhile I was fighting my own battles in my head. Great place for many reasons, I absolutely adore it.

Don't go at the moment. It may get better from tomorrow (14/6) but there was limited food and drink options. We even told by a member of staff that we should leave to find some lunch. Anything of interest was closed. Very disappointing.

Fabulous gardens, great for serious plant lover and energetic kids alike! C19 one way / spacing signage could be a little better, also info about what food is available and which toilets open. Staff wonderful, as ever.

We booked a slot to see the orchids,we found people without prior booking went straight in whilst we were kept outside in freezing cold waiting till booking time,it would have been better to have been let in as most of the crowd were complaining. It was worth the visit ,probably more spectacular in Summer months.

This was the first visit to Kew. It has been a truly wonderful experience. I can't wait to return and recommend to everyone who appreciates nature . Tranquillity
Very kind staff on site and terrific gift shop you can easily overspend. If NHS staff do bring your ID for discount .

Gardens great, cafes terrible. Tip: enjoy the gardens but *leave* when you are hungry and go enjoy one of the many lovely cafes, pubs and restaurants outside the gardens. If you insist on eating there expect long queues, overpriced and average queues. And don t bother in winter, while the gardens are beautiful, the cafes are mostly closed with and even worse food offering.

After several years visiting Kews Christmas spectacular that we enjoyed so much. 2019 has been slightly different not quiet the event we have experienced in the past. Redirected route led one through an area of tempting money making disguises. Tickets for the event are not cheep, I may be tempted not to go next year, ten out of ten for the marketing team.

GORGEOUS honestly. And during this covid time, it was such a breath of fresh air to walk through the park, discover flowers. A very poetic place and very quiet. I recommend strongly. Fyi we found only the toilets between Victoria and Lion gates opened currently! A tip that could save you a walk for nothing :)

Kew has so much to see and do. If it is busy, walk just a little bit and find yourself enjoying peace and quiet. With far fewer aeroplanes in the sky they are not here to distract either. The gardens change daily so you will never run out if things to see. Good restaurants and a great shop...but you can always bring a picnic

We went to see the Xmas lights exhibition which was fantastic. Great for all ages. It is quite a long walk but there is plenty of food and drink available all along the route. They also have a little fun fair in the middle with a helter skelter, carousel and some rides for toddlers. Depending on the time you visit you can park on the road outside the garden wall but restrictions do apply.

Fantastic day out, especially if you're lucky enough to get some nice weather. There are numerous greenhouses and manor houses to wander round and many options for food. We didn't actually eat in the gardens but the food being served looked very nicely presented. Going onto the second floor of the main, big greenhouse gave a nice vantage point across the whole garden.

I've visited Kew 3 times now Autumn and Summer my next visit will be in Spring. There's always something new to see or experience, this time is was the Princesses of Wales Pavilion and the recently reopened Temperate House, the renovation has been worth the wait. The Hive was a mindful, sensual immersion and the glass sculptures an unexpected but fitting bonus. An exhausting but exillerera

Nice place to walk round and view the plants. Would advise take own picnic and sandwiches, prices are over the too. The service is not very good either. They have no idea about catering for dietary needs either.

Kew Gardens is the type of place you could visit multiple times and still have corners left unexplored. It's beautiful in rain or shine. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of places to sit down and relax if you find lots of walking around tough on your feet too. The only downside side is how expensive it is to eat or drink there. Take a picnic if you're worried though!

Stunning gardens which are beautifully kept. I have spent hours here and always discover new areas. The gate can be busy at the weekend, but worth the wait. Food inside is pricey - be warned. I love Kew.

This was a lovely treat. I would recommend on busy days still buying the online ticket even if the line for it seems long to get in. It ll still be faster than buying there. The flowers are unbelievable. Would truly recommend making it a picnic.

Great and very nice Garden in London, we spend there around 5 hours without seen everything, so bring enough time or come a second time... This place is a good alternative to the crowded attractions in the City Center of London.

It's a good place which is really interesting and also has friendly staff. Bit expensive, but that was to be expected. Went during the Chihuly exhibition which was good fun, and I'd recommend it on a cooler day, not during a heatwave otherwise you will just melt

Amazing garden ! We went there for Christmas light show at the beginning of the year :)! It was magic and splendid - 1,5 to 2 hours light trail across Kew garden. It was perfect to extend Christmas season ! It is great for kids and family or just having a romantic time :)! Every year they completely reinvent the show so it is worth to come back.

I have been to Kew quite a few times . However, I visited yesterday with my partner who was visiting for the first time . In all honesty, she prefers Wakehurst in West Sussex.
It is for the simple reason this is far more colour ,flowers and variety of plants at Wakehurst.
Kew Gardens is a world famous botanical Garden , however it needs to give consideration to creating a greater degree of variety and colour .

WOW. Take your time and explore the whole gardens. So much to see, and learn. A full day wasn't enough. The treetop walk has spectacular views. The pagoda wasn't open to walkup when we were there but that would have been fun. There's cafes and restaurants all through the gardens to enjoy as well

Second year of coming here for Christmas at Kew, and a beautiful and magical experience. It's very popular and gets busy, but it's a great evening out with the gardens looking spectacular.
My only improvement would be that the queues bunched up for one of the light shows (all the lights hanging down on cables - forgotten what it was called); if they'd have had two side by side then more people could have gotten through and had an opportunity to take photos rather than the staff shouting at people to keep moving through. A minor detail, but would further add to the beauty and brilliance.

Lovely for a relaxed day out. And they do great work, preparing for the apocalypse by keeping a store of seeds.

A pain to get to. I live near, 4 miles away. It's 25 mins by car on a good day, but nowhere to park. Or an hour and 20 on buses, so three times as long, it would be as quick to walk! This means it just isn't possible to get there, I'm not going to spend 3 hours traveling to somewhere that's 4 miles away.

Probably the most amazing place I've visited in the UK. I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in garden's, plants or botany. I think it's some what overlooked but its also a fascinating insight into Victorian collections and architecture.

Fantastic lighting and light shows choreographed to music.
Plenty of stopping points to take pictures and get refreshments.
Need to book in advance, you may be lucky to find parking on the road, but Richmond isn't that far a walk if you need to park there.

For those used to botanical gardens in the US, think less "Chicago Botanical Garden" and more "Giant Park with amazing and rare trees with other thematic gardens placed sporadically throughout"
