A world heritage site of 350 acres, Kew Gardens grows every variety of plant from all parts of the world , has a royal palace and Queen Charlotte's Cottage and other splendid architecture. The Palm House holds a wide variety of plants and the newly reopened beautifully restored Temperate House displays plants of temperate climates from around the world. The Conservatory has seven different climates under the one roof displaying the exotic plants from the different regions. So much to see and do or simply relax in The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.

Absolutely an amazing experience! Kew gardens is the perfect place to escape from the chaotic city's lifestyle. My highlights are the palm tree house, the temperate house and the hive. You can feel tropical vibes and somehow you forget that you are actually very close to London.

Oh this place is lovely and huge to walk around. There are also fun activities for kids and eat out places. The only annoying thing is the planes flying about if you need to meditate.... Other than that Ive had an amazing time here and I still haven't finished visiting around the whole place!!

Kew gardens is genuinely one of my favourite places in the whole city. Whilst entry is a little expensive, this helps keep it a bit quieter so those inside can enjoy the beauty peacefully. There's plenty of spots to have a picnic, and easily enough to justify 2 trips, even if you're there for the whole day both times!

A wonderful garden which at the moment, in October, is a showpiece of mature trees and shrubs turning from green to brown, yellow and red but this is an all the year round attraction. Gardeners are busy filling beds with winter flowering plants and quite a lot of the garden is still green with some late-flowering plants. Star of the show is the palm house, an enormous glass green house, where a huge range of palms from all over the world grow in a heated, damp atmosphere. There are several places to eat and a very comprehensive shop at the Victoria Gate. The botanic gardens offer something for everyone and a day spent here not only gets everyone out in the fresh air but is interesting for amateur gardeners and experts alike.

An amazing place to visit! Beautifully designed greenhouses! Lots of space to walk around and amazing variety of plant life. Staff are very helpful and wheelchairs are readily available to borrow. Electric scooters available as well but must book a head of time - though unlike the wheelchairs, they can t go into all the greenhouses. Art exhibition on right now is well worth your money to visit Kew! Ask when you arrive if any buildings will be closing early so you don t miss out!

Really nice place, and plenty of space for a picnic, my only gripe was there is no where to refill a bottle with water, cafes we asked at said they weren't allowed too. That's why it only got 3 stars.

I love this place so much. So beautiful and tranquil. I've visited it in across seasons and it has so much so offer. Love the tram ride too, a very comfortable way to get around and see everything the gardens have to offer. The orchids exhibition was particularly stunning.

Love this garden! Most beautiful in London. Buy the annual pass - this will save you loads if you plan to go to the gardens more than two or three times per year! My favorite spot here besides the gorgeous greenery is the gift shop. It s massive and filled with tons of plants, seeds, novelty souvenirs, and fun gifts.

I liked it, if you are interested in botany this is the right place. You need to walk a lot, be prepared for long walking more than 10 km.
Wear your hiking shoes. It is a large garden consisted of different places to visit. In every corner of this huge garden you can find different plant species from all around the globe.
Remember that you need to buy tickets to enter the garden it is not free. And because of current Covid-19 pandemy you need to book a time online, there is a limitation on number of visitors.
We first visited the Mink house a japanese cottage with a beautiful bamboo garden around it. Then we walked through sackler crossing on the beautiful lake. We then went to rose garden, you smell rose perfume from far but the rose garden itself was not that much magnificent. The palm house was good but again because of Covid-19 policies we passed through very quickly. The pool in front of the palm house is great, I suggest to take your time to sit and rest around it.
The other place that we visited was Pagoda which was closed and we could not enter again because of the pandemy.
There are many other places specially on the northern part of the garden that you can visit in normal days, unfortunately because of Covid-19 many were closed.

Kew is a wonderful place, full of History and some of the Planet's most beautiful and awe inspiring natural specimens. Why they feel the need to fill it with the most awful 'modern art', huge ugly looking glass sculptures that I think must be the rejects from a pound shop, is truly beyond me. I have loved Kew for years, but probably won't go back as the beauty has gone.

Had a great day out here. The Tree top walk was great it's something I would say to try unless you are scared if swaying in the air it does move slightly.we found it highly amusing to make it move while others thought it was like being drunk. The children loved it.

The only thing we were disappointed with was the way the Children's play area is set up. Limited access allowed. Tickets given in the morning, have you tried to explain to a child that they cannot play at a play area without a tantrum happening There were so many upset little ones. Is there not a way this can be sorted out better. After all there is plenty of room for it. Also we were not told of the areas that were shut and having a person who was limited to walking distance was unhelpful when arriving at areas we could then not access.

Kew Gardens is nirvana in London. I walk around in bliss there, breathing in great gusts of oxygen from the venerable trees. They're from all over the world, brought by the fascinating Sir Joseph Banks and his team of botanists. On my last trip to London, I visited Kew three times after bonding with a certain oak tree brought from the Caucasus as a mere acorn. Everyone walking around the park seems happy...must be the oxygen.

This was recommended to me as a must do for visitors to London. I went with a big group and set our sights on staying the day. We were super underwhelmed by the exhibits and ended up leaving 1.5 hours after entering the park. Wouldn't recommend unless you have a great affinity for parks.

Climbers and Creepers in the Children's Garden. T...

Climbers and Creepers in the Children's Garden. This popular attraction is well thought of and a godsend to families with energetic children, mine included. So now the great and good of the Royal Botanic Gardens deem it should be closed - And what should replace it? Why, Yet another restaurant, when the nearest other is miles (well, metres) away! Because Kew Gardens has only 5 other eateries, overpriced and skimpy quality (read the reviews). No other nearby attraction (for example The Wetlands Centre in Barnes) treats its patrons with such contempt.

Beautiful gardens with well situated pit stops for drinks or food. Some more upscale restaurant/bars and some street food type stalls, something for everyone. No gluten free savoury options though, which is fine if you don't mind eating cake all day...

Also there could be more toilets as it is a very large site!

You cant deny one of the most beautiful places in the UK. First time visit and parts of the gardens were very breathtaking. I found signage quite difficult to follow however the facilities available were more than adequate. Rather pricey cafe however would not expect anything else. Paying for parking more than acceptable however, I feel given the price for admission, entry to the pagoda, kew palace and the children's play area seems disproportionate. You cant argue the standards are high and and the gardens immaculate although seems a bit money grabbing. A true gem in the London borough.

This is one of those places people tell you that you have to go see, but researching doesn't inspire you. But once you start walking around you understand. It is a beautiful place, with so many different things to explore. Tree top walk, log playground, secret garden, clean easy paths, but also paths and buildings that take you into another place/world/time. The only thing I would say is that the food is as expensive as you would expect from a tourist attraction, though there is a great place by the train station (1 block away)
If I lived in London, I would have already bought a yearly pass.

Beautiful place with services for the whole family and full access for disabled people to nearly everywhere. If you or yours need one then you can have wheelchairs at any entrance without prebooking. Electric ones also available but you need to call them day or days before to make sure it will be available for you.

Exceptionally beautiful, large grounds for families to enjoy some quality time together and enjoy the area, easily accessible from the overground, no need to take the bus, if you are booking online remember to do so a few minutes before arrival, the system takes a few minutes to send tickets. Also make sure to reserve the kids activities for time schedule

A beautiful place for one afternoon or a few days. Lots of attractions for everyone - both for kids and the elderly. I fell in love with Waterlily House and Palm House, but whole garden is amazing! Wonderfully maintained marvelous plants from different parts of the world. It was also interesting in the palace, so don't forget to see it. There are several restaurants prepared, but you can also organize a fantastic picnic. I recommend Kew Gardens to everyone, it's a shame to be in London and not see them. And remember to buy tickets online - it'll be cheaper and you wont't have to stay in queue for entry.

So much to see, full day easily spent here. Some areas (gallerys, pagoda, treetops walk) have been closed and still there were loads to discover. There are a few cafes to get food and drinks, but prices are a bit higher than could be. Fountains with water can be found along the way, so grab some snacks with you and you should be good. Also if you want to see all of it, without rushing/ walking non-stop for 5 hours, better to start early, place is massive and some glass houses can have a que due to pandemic protocols.

We are regular visitors to Kew as we are Friends of Kew . We visited last weekend as we wanted to take a look at the Chihully exhibition, I had no real expectations, but I was completely blown away by the glass installations. Simply stunning and we will be back before it finishes in August.

The place in itself is amazing, so many beautiful plants, flowers, trees, from all corners of the world. It s vast with many things to see, so it s definitely an entire day worth visit. I take one star off because of the self serving cafe, it was such a disappointment, we had a special ticket with cream tea included, and we were appalled at the incredibly high prices and lack of quality. I recommend to bring a nice packed lunch for a picnic on the grass, it s much nicer than getting robbed by the overpriced sad sandwiches or cakes wrapped in plastic.

For a little over 15GBP, the park is an amazing place to spend an entire day. I definitely advise to plan a whole day to truly enjoy your stroll around the park and the various things to do and see.
I particularly advise people to go circa end of May, as that's when most plants will be in full bloom.
Although the cafe offers nice snacks, I'd argue a nice picnic is a better approach. You'll be able to stop and settle down anywhere anytime that way.
The park is beautifully kept clean, which makes it a better choice for picnics than most London parks.
Some areas are a little bit covered in goose droppings, don't let that put you off. And remember there are many nooks and crannies where you can settle for your picnic.
I find it always magical.

Fantastic selection of plants, cacti. Friendly staff just a shame the website suggests everything is wheelchair friendly and it's not. The website should be honest about the tree tops lift not working and hasn't done for ages!!

Kew Gardens. Beautiful in every season; rain or shine.
And on this particular visit, even further enhanced by the equally beautiful glassworks of Dale Chihuly.
A really lovely day wandering amongst the autumnal trees and around the historic glasshouses..

I visited Kew gardens with my daughter and grandchildren during the summer holidays. We were very disappointed as there was very little to do and hardly anything open. Although the flower beds etc were beautiful it wasn't really ideal for children.

I will definitely go back to see the gardens.

A lovely place to visit with so much to see. Beautifully kept gardens with huge glass houses furnishing tropical plants. A great destination place for all the family. Plenty of places to eat there, and excellent toilet facilities. Plus transport to get you around if walking isn't your thing. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place holding exotic plants most around from the globe. Unfortunately due to covid pandemic, card payments only accepted.
If you love nature then you will love this place.
Some of the greenhouses were closed early due to those circumstances but will be back to explore properly when this covid lock down ends!
