Beautiful plants from all over the world. Did not manage to see everything so will definitely be back
Kew garden is one of the best place to visit in London. Lots of place to explore, place for all age group,Truly enjoyed the time during visit. Plant to visit again.
There is always something new to see at Kew Gardens. This time round it was the Chihuly Exhibition of glass sculptures and artworks throughout the gardens!! Absolutely SPECTACULAR!
Well spread out place with plenty of places to walk and see. Was well prepped for Covid also.
Lots of fresh air. Lots of things to see and a play area for the kids.
Kew Gardens is amazing. You can easily spend all day there. If you can, go nice and early, it's very quiet and peaceful then. But even in the afternoon it never felt too crowded since the areal is huge and there are many attractions all around.
Some highlights are: The Hive, the Treetop Walkway, the Japanese Gardens and the Boinsai House.
It s a desert over there , plants definitely needs more water! It s sad to see that!
I never realised how big and varied this place was. First time visit after 15 years of living in London, and I'll be back again and again. A wonderful day out.
I love, love, love this place!! As a photographer, I love taking clients here for shoots! There is always something new to see! I recommend going in April when the Magnolia s are in bloom
Awesome day at Kew Gardens! Even more special than usual with Chihuli exhibits spread throughout the grounds. Great birthday gift for my wife. Thoroughly recommended and enjoyed by all: young and old :)
Beautiful as ever. Enjoyable despite the essential alterations for hampering the spreading of Covid 19.
Would give a full five stars if they were to label the Vegan food and drinks in the Orangery accordingly. It would save time for the busy staff and get hungry visitors fed sooner, too.
It's a good place to Visit within the London. A lot of variety of plants from all over the world. One day wouldn't enough, if you want to explore in deep. Better choose some less busy days like week days.
A beautiful place to visit. Lots to see and plenty of space to relax!
It is a garden in London. It is a green lung for the city. There are many exhibits, not just for for its natural trees but also paintings and sculptures. It deserves to be named a Royal Botanical Garden. A good place for taking a stroll around or as a reference for horticulturist.
Outstanding place if you fancy long walks, plenty of green and learning more about the nature. Greenhouses are a definite must see list, and don t forget to go to the top level of the Palm house for an amazing experience straight from the Jurassic Park. If you suffer because of acrophobia ( like me ) - nothing to be worried about - all the stairs and footbridges feel really solid ( well done Kew peps ). Don t forget a bottle of water as walks between attractions can be really long.
Parking wise - I strongly recommend parking at Ferry Ln ( north entrance, pay as you park ). Don t forget to remove valuables from the sight though.
I loved it!! Wonderful plants and trees. Very calming and peaceful!
A must see in London! And a good getaway from the city I absolutely love visiting Kew!
is it a gardens? is it a parks? not sure. it is a good time
We went when the mighty Storm Dennis was in full swing, so while it was a tad blowy, the gardens were also quite peaceful. I'd actually recommend popping by between Christmas and Easter since it's so quiet -- plus they tend to have exhibits year-round; right now, it's orchids!
Every single plant is labelled with its name; there's so much to learn and take in. In the conservatories, there's further reading you can do. In there, they have some endangered and even extinct species. The St. Helena olive, extinct in the wild, has its DNA stored at the Kew labs and they hope to reintroduce into the wild in the future.
Overall, it's beautiful and there's a lot to see and even a few activities like scaling the treetop walkway or scurrying beneath the manmade badger holes. It's a fun day for all ages and group types.
It's such an awesome place to see so much to see beautiful landscape gardens pagoda greenhouse rare species of plants from across the globe plenty of eateries to choose from although a tiny bit expensive if you are on a tight budget children's play area is delightful fascinating fibre optic ornamental features etc definitely must see Kew gardens i would put that on the top of my bucket list to do in London use public transport very accessible and so frequent to the garden from anywhere in London
My first trip here but not my last. I like botanic gardens, but this was extra special because of the Chihuly glass exhibition. It was fabulous! The glass works are in several buildings as well as dotting the landscape. Do not miss the Etherial White Persian Pond - magical.
I will describe Kew Gardens in one word: Stunning!
It was a spontaneous plan to go there but it was worth it and more. Need to visit again.
The world's most diverse collection of plants and flowers. Friendly staff and beautiful grounds that are meticulously maintained. Only down side is how busy it get get, victim of its own success.
I love this garden so much
I can t believe than I spend all day there, it s huge Garden and so beautiful place to relax and enjoy all the views, flowers, trees.
I love to take pictures on this amazing place!
If you want to rest, you can got to restaurant to enjoy food or tea.
And if you are with the kiss, you can show them flights from London Heathrow.
You can let your kids play on that area.
Well it s very recommended
What a beautiful garden. Busy, but nice, cafe. Clean toilet facilities. Helpful staff and easy to read map. The Chihuly exhibition is marvellous.
Unbelievable light spectacular. Superbly done. Great atmosphere. Not to be missed.
Start early in the morning and if you have children dont forget to book the children garden.
Not enough accessible drinking water or toilets open
Amazing trees and plants! Lovely shop and kiddy oriented areas
Covid-19 restrictions are in place. Register first and bring tickets or booking code with you, they cannot vend a ticket at the gate. We had to register on our phones outside the gate and share order number to enter. Food vendors available near the Orangery include burgers, ice cream, coffee with various Alcohol. The restaurant and gift shop is open with a cafe/food available. All glass buildings are open and travel is metered and isolated in one-direction. Beautiful space wonderful day.
A great place to spend a day when weather is nice. They fixed the greenhouses and have an elevated forest walk. A lovely spacious garden. The only drawback is that it has become expensive. Check out the annual pass or group option.
I could be there all day. Been there for 4 hours and felt like it wasn't enough. There are lots of beautiful things to see and do. Don't miss the tree tops walk.
They have a very good system in place both to enter the gardens and in the shops and cafes.
Excellent place to spend a day with your family. A lot of fun things for kids and educational stuff for both adults and children.
Fantastic family day out. Kids will turn their noses up at the idea but run wild when they get there.
They never do anything badly at Kew! Love every visit to this haven of tranquility.
A fantastic day out here lots to see + do- we will be back as we loved it! Very clean + tidy- lots of food choices.Cheaper buying ticket online
Excellent place but go in summer bring your own food. The cafe is extremely expensive and very average quality.
As brilliant as you would expect. Give yourself at least 4 hours to get a basic walk around but really it s an all day stroll.
One day is not enough time to see all of these magnificent botanical gardens. Today was our second visit, first one brilliant sunshine, but today overcast and a chilly wind but nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable and would strongly recommend to plant, flowers and everything out of the usual enthusiasts. The only thing that spoils it is the map of the gardens issued on entry is complete rubbish and cannot be relied upon. Apart from that a great experience and day out.
Great place to visit big allow plenty of time it's enormous.
Truly amazing experience seeing the Chihuly glass sculptures lit up at night. Best in the temperate glass house where the visual experience was enhanced by the perfume and ethereal live music.
Huge area with loads to see, amazing greenhouses and an indoor play area for kids. We ate in one cafe that was nice but was pretty expensive but happy to take the hit since entry is pretty cheap.
One of the best public gardens in the UK if not Europe. The whole site is very well planned with routes leading round the entirety of the gardens. As expected, the range of flora on display is phenomenal from vast oak trees to delicate orchids. The greenhouses are a highlight and a great chance to see some wonderful tropical plant species. Highly recommended.
Lovely place to visit if you're into gardening and plants. Not so great during school holidays season though unless you enjoy the constant screaming.
If you like parks this is a must-visit. All the Botanic Gardens were beautiful and well maintained. In addition, it is active all around the year with q special lighting during Christmas. I like how they take care of nature by having an electric Land Rover Defender. You need to go really early since it quit big
Even out of season this is a spectacular botanic garden, well worth a visit. The palm house is fabulous and do not forget to see the waterlily house and the conservatory. Plenty to see even if everything isnt in full bloom. To cover large distances use the little train. Leaves every hour.
Stunningly beautiful. Chiluly exhibit is exquisite.
A must visit for all flower and plant lovers also the house that King George the mad king lived is in the grounds. Take a packed lunch food very expensive on top of the expensive entrance price. Grounds are massive leave hours to get around properly. The day was a joy for me I love orchids the orchid house was awesome .the tree top high level walk way was fun
Place is amazing. Beautiful. Thoroughly enjoy our family trips. It is slightly pricy. But it is to be expected as probably maintaining the place probably costs quite a bit. No point going later on in the day either as you have to pay the More
It's a walkers paradise! Perfect for picnics and fauna lovers. However, it will help if there were more signs posted at strategic spots. I heard and saw a couple of ladies who looked lost, wondering where to turn to next for their next stop in the area. A bit of a maze!
Great day. Had to book in advance which was ok. Parking was a bit of a long hall turned up at 11am took 25 minutes to park and queue for the parking ticket. Turned out to be worth it plenty of space and load to look at. Some parts are closed and some have long queues so if your a first time visitor you may have a long wait for some attractions. Be fair that is a norm these day. All round a great day and staff were all great
Beautiful day out exploring the plethora of gardens, forest and attractions dotted across the site. Shame to see so much closed due to COVID but looking forward to returning once it's all blown over. Well worth taking your own picnic or snacks, the bazaars are very expensive! Parking is limited so public transport is probably your best option.
Fantastic shop with an amazing selection of plants and gifts, the book range is well thought out and there is something for everyone, plants, cookery, london travel, fiction and gift books. The cafe is nice, good cakes and good coffee
UNBELIEVABLE!!! I ALMOST LOST MY MIND FOREVER. AN EXTRAORDINARY THING HAPPENED HERE!
I was strolling around, enjoying the wildlife, the stunning scenery, when it occurred to me that I was feeling a little hungry. So I reached into my bag and pulled out what I thought was an apple. Without looking at it I took a big old bite, and I got myself a nasty little surprise. You see, it wasn't an apple at all, it was a portal to another dimension. Crazy! Five stars.
One of the UK's gems, a fantastic place to spend if you want time alone or have a day out with the family
Nice but a bit overrated. Tree walkway is a great idea. Booking online is advantageous.
I am now a member here the place is so big you can't do it all in one visit. A great place to wander around with a camera.
If you plan to spend 3 hours here, then you haven't planned enough time. The gardens are wonderful and there is so much variety that a full day is required. This is definately worth a stop if you have the time.
I went to Kew today to visit the orchid display but I forgot what a wonderful place Kew is to visit. I found that the new greenhouse was spectacular. The overall care and attention is 1st class. Staff were extremely friendly and polite at More
Lovely gardens with masses of space to explore and picnic. Really good day out.
Kids love it - and the children's garden is open again. Great walks, fascinating trees! Shops, cafes, toilets all open.
Very nice day out. spring is kicking in so should get very colourful when the flowers bloom! The Peter Rabbit trail was fun and informative and the story telling they have on Beatrix Potter was very well done. Shame it is only for a few weeks!
Christmas at Kew, a beautiful experience. If you can't get there this year then make sure you go in 2020.
Great day out!
Wonderful gardens and park space, with some fascinating greenhouses
All at a reasonable price
Beautiful settings, open vistas, not too many people around. Very good food available all at covid 19 precautions
So took the wife here on 23-06-2018 got there at around 11:30 was lovely and not to busy, so in all we think we saw everything in around 3 to 5 hours.
It was a lovely afternoon and the wife loved it we left around 15:30 and omg was it busy at the entrances we'd advise coming eailier, also bring a little sheet so you can pop it on the ground and eat your lunch as the cafes are a little pricey.
I just posted a few pictures from our day out :)
What a wonderful place! Kew has always been on my bucket list. And yesterday was a day to remember. It is full of plants and flowers from all over the world. The park is kept very clean. And the staff is super friendly.
Always a delight to visit with lots to see and marvel at.
Beautiful open space but not enough signs. It is very easy to get lost considering there are hardly any staff around to ask for help.
Great place in London, definitly a full day activity.
Large and varied, well-maintained gardens. There's a reason why these are so popular. The only potential downside is that it's quite costly, however I understand that it's not cheap to look after the vast gardens.
A large open park with a really interesting selection of trees and plants. The cedar tree view was particularly good. This place is also good if you are into aeroplanes as they fly over frequently due to its close proximity to Heathrow.
We attended the orchid festival and was a lovely evening experience. Nice ambient, live salsa music and lots of colorful orchids ! The only thing I will improve will be the cocktails, great organization though.
Great for photos and a great non-polluted environment for London and the nearby cities.
Arrive early! This is a full day program. Parking is easy if you arrive early, after is tricky our you can risk a ticket. The garden is beautiful, it's a perfect place with family. Big and safe environment for the small ones, and exotica plants for the big ones.
Quite a few amenities and attractions were not open and in particular the things that appealed more to kids such as the treetop walk and children's gardens. Plus not all the toilets were open.
Great place, very beautiful nature. However it is huge and You need all day to walk through everything
Don't look to closely at the exhibits - I ask you? If you want to know what happened to the Aunts from James and the Giant Peach, well they are terrorising visitor who "look to closely" I understand don't touch but don't look .... The artist didn't actually make any of the exhibits - they had manual workers doing that. What a con.
Beautiful gardens with a lot of see and explore. Although I do think that to enjoy the gardens at a leisurely pace you need more than a day. Would have loved if you could have a multiple day ticket.
But that said, would highly recommend visiting the gardens. Due to COVID a few of the things are closed so it's best to check beforehand. There's a cafe with decent food options too.
We have also been to the Christmas lights at Kew and loved it. I would recommend that very highly too :)
Great Wheelchair accessibility enabling access to a vast majority of the gardens and greenhouses.
The actual gardens and greenhouses plantings are fantastic and are a must if you are in the area.
The prices may seem a little high, but you definitely get a lot for your money and can easily spend a day just walking around in nature and forgetting that you are actually in London.
Timed tickets so not crowded. Very hot but we tried to stay amongst the trees - bliss
Big Botanical Garden and a very historic herbarium.
One of, if not THE greatest botanical gardens in the world. We were lucky enough to get tickets to a 'Gardens After Dark' cocktail event held in one of the hot-houses, surrounded by an incredible orchid exhibit and entertained by Colombian music. Really kind and helpful staff!
A soul-saver during lockdown. Big thank you to the wonderful staff
Nice place for a walk and for anyone interested in botanics, plants, trees from everywhere of the worls. We just love the place to go for a walk
At a gig her in the summer and the staff helped out our friend who needed to buy a last minute ticket as he was on his own that night otherwise and having a hard time in life recently. Lovely x
This place is huge! There is so it to do here, indoor activities as well for those drizzly days. Give yourself plenty of time to visit!
Beautiful gardens and greenhouses. Lots to see and do. Well worth the ticket price
