We had a Kinder excursion here, excellent guides read the Aboriginal story of Me and Murrawee. We did some "Ponding" and explored.

Great place to visit for the young and old. Cafe has good selection of tasty food and coffee.
Nice Garden, but be careful from the snakes at the west side
Natural Australian gardens with something for all age groups to occupy themselves.
Beutiful place with native plants, trees from all over Australia. You can see rocky red landscapes or artificial lakes sourrounded by colored gardens. Take your time to go with your family and enjoy a little paradise.
Australian Native Plants, Hop on bus ride with Guide explaination
Natural. Peaceful and a good breath of fresh air away from concrete jungles.
We went to the Woodlands Picnic Area, not the gardens themselves but with two young kids they weren't going to be that interested in the gardens. Saw a few wallabies and appreciated the shade over the tables.
This is one of the best places to experience the great outdoors and it's free! Surprisingly as big as the Royal Botanical Gardens Cranbourne is, there are many well laid out pathways leading to all round views. A great way to spend a couple of hours or at your own leisure just take your time. Facilities include a kiosk , cafeteria and gift shop.
Very different from the normal 'Botanic Gardens', but that uniqueness is something special - well worth a visit.
A hidden gem.. The attention to detail is testament to the staffs efforts.. We enjoyed a great lunch as well.
Fantastic place for adults and kids alike. Restaurant serves good food and coffee.
Love the layout & connection each area had with the previous section
Another must - do for Melbourne and, believe it or not, close enough to walk from Flinders St station or St Kilda Rd trams.
Outstanding display of plants plus architectural marvels
Hidden gem . Worth going just for a stroll and coffee.
Great place to have a nice walk and free entry which really surprised me. Will be back to visit again.
Terrific spot for a walk. Enjoy our enduginous flora. Very pretty, neat and tidy.
There are lots of tracks to walk down and see beautiful scenery. There is a bus to take you around if you are unable to walk, or would like to see things from the bus. There are also wheelchairs to hire if needed. There is a lovely little cafe and a souvenir shop.
Awesome place for young and old. Kids can splash around in the water too.
Much better than the ones in the city. The whole area is nicely landscaped, there are directional signs and _all the plants are signed_. This is a must for someone who can only tell a flower from a tree or a bush... sometimes.
Amazing place, amazing plants. Great place for a walk and a little bit of inspiration!
Among the best in the world, great park for botany enthusiasts or just for a relaxed walk in the city. Very rich plant collection. Given the size, labeling could be improved as sometimes the same plant is planted opposite sides of the garden.
A 5 star international quality botanical garden with excellent facilities. Down to earth atmosphere ,A beautiful garden and a wonderful experience. Free entry and plenty of space to walk and explore native Australian flora. Highly recommend!!
An amazing collection of Australian native plants. Cafe, bushwalks, fabulous layout.
Great place to spend a few hours. Well layed out and nice coffee available as well.
Beautiful gardens with free entry. Amazing views from Triggs Point lookout. Plenty of parking.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne is a great day out for the family. It has great facilities and an amazing restaurant, but the gardens are wonderful.
Walking through calming, peaceful gardens, observing the various plants species and how well they've thrived in that location. Helps with garden design, layout and just a damn good place to be. You'll not be disappointed.
Love this place its beautiful and very good for a family day out
Wonderful landscaped garden with picnic area and barbecue. Thousands of plant varieties. If you are out for a fun and educational day out with the family, this is the best place for you.
Stunning gardens across a wide range of landscapes, featuring native plants, flowers and trees. There are even desertscapes, rivers and lakes.
The walking opportunities are quite extensive but easy to navigate on mostly flat terrain and shortcuts are available. Wheelchair and pram access is very easy.
One of Victoria's great parks!
Australia Garden is fantastic. Quite new in terms of a botanical garden, the areas are still filling out or being planted but it is still stunning. Has great water play area for kids to get their feet wet and bean bag area for relaxing and reading books. Volunteers avaliable to have a chat about plants you're interested in. Best of all its free! 30-40 min drive from inner Melbourne.
LOVE this place. it is accessible to all kinds of people and a great chance to educate the kids about native Australia. A perfect place to be a on nice summer day
An amazing native Australian garden. So impressive.
This was rubbish! There weren't even any royals or anything! There were just loads of flowers and stuff. I couldn't find the botanic anywhere! Like what even is this?? There were too many happy people about. I was hoping for a miserable Victorian scene but there wee only smiling faces
Disappointing
so beautiful! such a lovely day every time i visit, would recommend to anyone.
Great place and even better no entry fee plants and flowers are set out brilliantly
Peaceful. Beautiful.. Good option for a day trip. Good for kids..
Great places for the family and enjoy picnic in the open area.
Beautiful gardens. Easy to wonder around for hours.
This is one of a kind experience with wild. You csn see
Suitable for every person.
Beautiful place.
Very interesting with some wonderful gsrden areas explained clearly by the lady driving the train. Beautiful day.
Brilliant place to spend some time and forget about the world.
Always something to look for. Nice day out with kids and family
Beautiful place, my family loved it. Not too far from the centre of Melbourne.
great place to take the kids to learn about the native plants beautiful gardens
Fabulous! The design of the gardens is wonderful and there is so much to see.
Is a beautiful place with a cool water play area for kids. The only thing is that I could fault is that there isn t really a lot of play equipment.
The Australian Garden within the Botanical Gardens is an attraction not to be missed. Especially during spring, the flowers blossom is spectacular and the variety of plants is impressive. The gardens are beautifully designed, with trails, separate gardens and artificial lakes.
Definitely bring your kids here, but even on your own it's just nice.
And - it's free admission!
Such a beautiful place ...so much variety ....such splendor.
A great place to appreciate nature. Amazing trees and gardens for all ages. Make sure the weather is nice before you visit. A must
I am a local and go here for a walk at least twice a week. The gardens are beautiful and the bush walk is frankly beautiful, i have seem wombats snakes wallabies and an aray of birds to please the eye and warm the soul. I love this place so much i have written a childrens book about adventures there.
Will come back, didn't really have enough time to see it all.
Great place to visit - relaxing, informative and plenty to see.
Great place to visit. Very interesting & relaxed setting. Great to see how it has changed over the years.
Wonderful place, the landscape design is magical and the display is amazing. Highly recommended
Enjoy going there for walks and admire the gardens and the bush life
Much larger then I expected, fantastic mix of Australian landscapes.
