Excellent , great interpretation of our natural fauna, pity we don't all practice the same values. If we continue removing vegetation as we have done in our first 200yrs we won't have much left.

So the entry to this place is at the end of a rather unassuming suburban street, that has you wondering if you took a wrong turn. Aside from this we had a great half day, with the highlight for our young kids being the shuttle bus that does a circuit and of course the water play area. The desert landscape is well done, perhaps a path allowing visitors to walk down the middle of it, thus feeling like you are in the desert not just looking in, would be a nice addition? Also I felt the lawn area by the lake could have some more natural shade.

Last time I was here, the gardens had just opened. Have just been back and it s amazing to see how it has grown and developed. Such an amazing tranquil nod to how amazing Australia is. A little out of the way depending where you live. It well worth the trip. Be sure to pack a picnic to enjoy in one of the luscious picnic spots.

Is a lovely place, has native bush area, great for walks or bike rides. Picnic area with barbecues and seats. Good for groups and families. Also has a playground area with under cover areas for poor weather. Australian gardens area is fantastic, has a tidal pool area kids can play safely in the shallow water on hot days has two cafes, check times as second not always operating when quiet, second is at far end of garden area past lakes. Main cafe open during park hours. Also has gift shop for souvenirs etc. Highly recomend

Australian native plant showcase and stunning landscaping.
My favourite areas were the running water features where kids of all ages were having the best time, the boab trees and the eucalypt walk.
The cafe was elevated to provide a view over the gardens and the staff were brilliant- efficient & friendly.
My only disappointment was an apparent scarcity of native wildfowers ( like one finds in Kings Park Perth). I would love to see flannel flowers, Geraldton Wax, etc. I did see lots of magnificent Kangaroo Paw though.
I may have missed others or maybe it was the wrong season.
Thanks for making this attraction accessible and FOC.

What a beautiful garden. You can easily spend whole day here and have a picnic. The pathway is very accesible for younv kids and we brought stroller too. We spotted echidna and many kinds of birds . Parking lot can be crowded during holiday so best to come early. We will be back as now it will be our family favorite place.

Great for learning, excercise, entertainment and food. Also popular with schools and kinder groups so weekdays can be busy with these groups however I have always found the school leaders to be courteous to other patrons.
Toilets, playgrounds, great gardens, informative signage and water-play all in one. An excellent few hours/day can be spent here.
Flat paths ideal for prams and wheelchairs.
Thanks to the people that look after these public places, hats off to you.
Thanks for allowing a (mainly) free activity for all family members.
(Small fee for a tour but you can walk around for free or make a small donation to the park. We also try to support the cafe when we are there.)

Worth going out of your way and taking a look if you are in the area. Well maintained gardens, interesting architecture and there a little splashing area for kids. Free entry too, so you have little to lose.

A great slice of botanical Australia all seen in one place. Extremely well done. The bus trip was excellent to get an overall perspective of the layout and history and diversity of the gardens. Well done!

My partner and I had a great time walking around seeing the varied landscapes and plantations that this place has to offer. There's a cafe that you can sit and relax with a nice cup of coffee that over looks the garden. I highly recommend this place for all. Very kid friendly. Lots to see and do and the best thing is, ITS FREE :)
