Awesome cozy hotel. My woman and I have been coming here for the past 3 years and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is fun, friendly and very accommodating. Hands down, our best hotel experience in NYC! We will continue to return every year.

10 10 10. Very good hotel with excellent service and very attentive staff.

Everything was good-- room clean, shower size, they have a fitness room, bar and pool. They accommodated me when I asked to stay an extra day. The only disappointment was I was charged for breakfast and wasn't told there was a charge. I was sure it was included so it was taken off at checkout. The location is perfect. I wish the bar had better hours

Friendly helpful staff, great location, comfortable room

A very nice modern hotel. We had a Junior Suite on the top floor (16th) with a view of the Time Square screens. And a small balcony. It was really nice. The shower room was spacious and nice with a nice velux on the roof ... A flaw: for a suite she was a little small.

Location excellent. Standard ok, but not great. Very thin-walled and noisy AC. Still, over all not a bad choice.

Breakfast very good, staff that speaks Spanish and very nice, has a very good location, to put some inconvenience is that the rooms are usually small.

Extremely convenient location with the Times Square just a block away and three blocks from the Grand Central Station. The overall look and feel of the hotel is reminiscent of the 70's era. The hotel pool is great as well with the pool bar open up until 3AM and designated DJs by the pool everyday.

We stayed last year on our honeymoon. A really charming and comfortable hotel, all the staff very attentive. It is also located very close to Times Square.

A small hotel. In fact a kind of no. Highly emphasizes the significance of overcrowding in New York. Great location. There is everything you need. Breakfast was not included in the price. There is nothing to build on the gym or pool. This is more of a puddle and a training facility inside a niche.
The service is courteous and nice. The rooms are neat and clean but very crowded. Seems satisfying in favor of accommodation.
In the area enough shops where you can fill in the gaps. Overall a likable place

Good hotel, with beauty, comfort and excellent location. Interesting price, but they didn't take me to the room with an item I requested and said they would.

Hotel very close to Time Square. Room and bathroom very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff at the reception. There is a suitcase and taxi service on departure. The suitcases are kept, so that you can leave the hotel again. The nice gentleman waits for one in front of the hotel and calls the taxi and loads the suitcases into the car. The breakfast was okay. Tastes are just different.

Anl quirky boutique hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. Very welcoming staff and has a nice pool with swim up bar. There is a gym here if you're that way inclined and breakfast will cost around 13$ per person but I've not tried it as there are so many different places to eat it would be mad not to. Rooms are clean and comfortable with regular maid service.

Fun hotel, nice comfortable and well-appointed rooms, inviting lobby. Cons - Wi-Fi is not great, bar decor veers a little into the cheesy realm (leopard print wall?)

The worst -- the worst experience ever in a hotel. it wreaked of chlorine from the weird pool they had basically IN THE LOBBY. The staff was snarky and very immature... The curtain didn't close in my room. Housekeeping never refilled my minibar - I had to call each night... they forgot to put washcloths in the room 2 days. the fire alarm went off twice early morning and late one night. NEVER AGAIN

My husband and I paid 600$ for the room via Hotel Tonight. Kind of an absurd night but we understood it s Christmas time and we was booking very late. When we got there, they could see my husband is more on the bigger and taller size and they gave us a twin size bed. The room contained 4 twin sized beds, we felt like we were little kids at camp again. I thought I read it was the best hotel for couples? 600 for this. Not to mention breakfast is not included. I also called room service for more towels and NEVER received them. I wanted to use the pool, one employee said it was closed and the other said it was open. I would never come back and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, Check in time is very late and inconvenient.

don t recommend it plus they never refunded my 100$ deposit upon arrival. called a representative of the hotel and she seemed confused and didn t seem like she cared by the way she talked.

We have booked a double room with breakfast in the hotel for one week. The room was very spacious and ideal for a city trip. The walls were a little thin and therefore badly sounproofed, but the room neighbours fortunately kept the night's rest as we did. All in all, the room was very well cleaned and also in the following days, the room cleaning was impeccable.
The location of the hotel is very central in a side street close to Times Square, nevertheless, one can enjoy some quiet moments here.
The breakfast buffet was very extensive and had a very good selection, on request, you could even order freshly prepared Pan Cakes. If food was out of stock, it was refilled immediately.
All in all, the hotel staff was also very friendly and very eager to take care of the guests.
Unfortunately, we had problems with a defective air conditioning system. Here we were quickly offered an alternative room, which unfortunately also had the same problem. The hotel staff and the manageress of the hotel also showed a lot of effort, apologized many times for the inconvenience and finally found a very good solution for the problem.

All in all, we can absolutely recommend the hotel to others, we felt very comfortable here and also appreciated as guests, so that we will gladly come back again.
All in all an absolute recommendation!

Superb hotel ideally located, comfortable and quiet room, certainly small pool but nice after a day of walking, hearty breakfast. Really a nice place to enjoy New York!

VERY BAD for not returning the money to people who due to the health emergency that we live worldwide have to cancel their reservation as is my case, I only ask for the return of the amount of a reservation that I will not be able to enjoy for reasons beyond my control and that does not entail any economic damage, if they boast exemplary behavior when dealing with this situation, do it really while protecting the rights of your clients

I was nit a guest... Just went in for their Happy Hour...which is great!!! Too bad COVID hit the NYC!!!

Great experience. Clean, nice, great location, wonderful staff. It was relaxing staying here.

Took forever to get checked in. Had to request bath towels after that everything was fine. Very comfortable bed, quiet, and good breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel on a recent trip to Manhattan for a quick holiday. We had not stayed at it before and shows it based on a very competitive rate For decently rated hotels in the mid town/ Times Square / theater area.

The best features of our room where the quality of the bed / mattress, which was outstanding (the only hotel bed I ve slept on that was equal to my own) and the very spacious shower (that would be appropriate in any high end remodeled bathroom). The room was very clean and quiet. The climate control/ AC worked perfectly. The WiFi was totally reliable. The guest services in the lobby were great.

Loved booking this hotel until tonight. I was cussed and screamed at by their security for being in the pool after closing hours . It was 755pm and the hours posted say open until 11pm. I caught the security guard in front of my room locking me out of my room. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk all they offered was a free breakfast. And the security guard stood over me yelling while I was telling them my concerns. Even the front desk had to tell the security guard to calm down and leave me alone. I m intimidated and honestly scared to stay here, knowing this man and his boss have access to my room.

Very close to Times Square and reasonably priced - maybe a bit of paint or plaster and cleaning stains from the walls would be great (compare fotos). In addition we had trouble with the AC which didn't cool, it only heated. Only once they replaced a completely blocked filter it started cooling again. Something like that should be replaced regularly as it otherwise might prove a health hazard .

Awful all around. Rooms are the size of a closet, they advertise $30 a day for parking and it ended up being $90. Couldn't enjoy the pool area becuase they were serving alchohol to minors who were so drunk they were having sex in the pool. Also walls are paper thin. Asked to speak to a manager multiple days and was told we have no manager on duty.

Central, great to visit Manhattan and the staff is nice and helpful

The room was perfect for a quick trip. It wasn't big by any standards but also wasn't claustrophobic and had everything we needed. There was always staff at the door to greet us as we came in and answer any questions.

Rooms were clean and well maintained, staff super polite and location of hotel to Times Square, Rockefeller and Broadway was unbeatable!

Structure in an ideal position and that's it.
At the entrance, impeccable check-in, friendly and young staff.
Before taking the lift, you can see the swimming pool / spa (which is not appreciated by those who use it), a structure that is apparently dated.
Room with large and spacious bed, pillows as if they weren't there, clean carpet but I'd prefer modern floors given the price and location; non-existent fixtures, cold air enough to make me change the check-in room, "wonderful" view on the wall of the adjacent structure, but there are all skyscrapers. Bathroom with large shower even if the water did not go down, noisy bathroom but pemso is the only solution for the toilet; let's not talk about heating, useless, noisy and ineffective. Walls not soundproofed.
Excellent breakfast.
Returning to the pool, I would consider it appropriate not to let children or teenagers under the age of 15 use it, because it is either used as a swimming pool or as a spa and therefore as a place to relax given the presence of a sauna and sofas.
You can always do better, in the end the details make the difference and the strengths must be highlighted.

Location is perfect! Our A/C wasn't working and I called the front desk! They fixed it while we were seeing WICKED! The staff were very accommodating! Verrrrrry comfortable beds! Quiet! Stayed here 5/23-5/27 2017 We couldn't ask for anymore! Thank you RMGH!

The hotel staff were inviting, and helpful. Really liked the room, and location with the city, and the price was great as well. Only complaint was that the A/C wasn't working that great. With the unit on, the temperature in the room went up. We opened the window since it was in the 40s, but then had to deal with the noise of the city streets, and this city never sleeps.

This boutique hotel will wow you with the swimming pool on the lobby level. Be careful you may just miss it if you don't turn around at the elevators. As you enter your floor, the one area that falls short are the walls. If I wanted to feel like I was in a funhouse, I would have gone to the carnival. After the hallways, the rooms are excellent. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms in great condition and very comfortably designed so one may use the sink or shower without interruption.

This is a great venue not just for the hotel guest but you can rent out the pool lounge to host events. It's a one of a kind in NYC. This review is for the lounge of mategrace. It's very posh.

Fatima, Frankie and Calbert were so friendly and helpful! They helped us with suggestions and directions that were spot on and easy to follow. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The pool was even warm!

The hotel is beautiful super comfortable and with the best location, the staff is excellent in their service and extremely friendly ... everything you look for in a good hotel, the rich and varied breakfast and the night rests wonderfully ... I will return Doubts

Started out with a booking error on my part that they gladly took care of not only ONCE but twice! No complaints no fees, just wanted me to be able to have a stress free stay. Everything about this hotel was incredible from atmosphere to customer service. Would highly reccomend Room Mate Grace to anyone!

The stuff at reception are really friendly and the location is great. But this hotel is old, not very clean, rooms are small and the wallpaper was horrible. The carpet looked dirty, the tv didn t work very well, the safe didn t work and most important the hotel did not feel save, there is no security late at night and anyone can get on the dirty lifts and press whatever floor they want as you do not need a key to go up on the lifts! I made sure I locked my door every night. In the website it looks amazing but its expensive for what it is and it s nothing like on the website!!!!

Beautiful hotel decorated with charm and very nice atmosphere. About the location is ideal to enjoy an unforgettable stay as it is close to everything.

Great hotel at the best location in NYC!
Room is not big but perfectly fits for a single, couple and other rooms type for even more. Rooms are clean and well designed.
Breakfast ain't like a regular American breakfast but just more. This place also has free Wi-Fi, small GYM and small pool.

Highly recommanded!

fake mini bar charges added and taken on my card once i got home one of which 12.00 dollars for a none alcho bev. 36 dollars altogether in fake charges so check your accounts.

its not a great amount but it just wrong.

The Hotel is comfortable and in an excellent position, but the layout of the room that they gave us with the double bed accessible only from one side left me a bit perplexed

Stayed there 4/17-4/21 2017. Awesome staff the triple room was fantastic. My 16 year old loved the loft. The staff was incredible, Eugene and the front desk staff could not have been better! Can't wait to go back. 200 yards to Times Square. 5 star.

I booked my hotel 3 months before my stay. I arrived thinking I was going to get everything I paid for but was wrong. The lady told me that the room I paid for I wouldn't be able to have use because of a leek that happened the night before. She tells me she going to give me and my fiancee an upgrade by giving me a room with 4 twin beds. I tell her what am i going to do with 4 beds. I just wanted my queen bed that I had already paid for. She tells me she going to give us complimentary breakfast for our troubles. I later found out that I was going to receive that anyways. It was part of the price. Also we could not use the pool because of a private event that night. I was very disappointed that they tried taking us for fools. People are not stupid. We stayed quite because we didn't want to get stuck trying to find another place to stay that night and the room was already paid for on my card but i don't forget and il never stay there again. Very comfortable bed sheets but other then that I wouldn't recommend staying there unless you want to be screwed over!

People working here are really kind. In particular a Spanish girl she was cute and nice. But rooms are not 100% comfortable, a little small. Beautiful swimming pool

Really enjoyed my night stay for my birthday! Quiet and beautiful. Window was to an alley but the room was too beautiful to care about outside!

Perfect location: Times Square. Pretty complete and healthy breakfast (not just industrial pastries). Very friendly and helpful staff. They speak different languages (Spanish among them).

To put something to improve is that if you stay in the rooms facing the street, on one side of the hotel, there is a terrace and music is sometimes heard until after 12 ... If you are a difficult sleeper, take earplugs

An interesting hotel with very great location. There is a swimming pool next to the bar. It looks like the pool is not designed for swimming but for the party.
The gym is not well equipped, just some simple facility. It's still simpler and clean. It's only ok for runner but not for the muscle.
The room is ok la. Bed is comfortable. I stay at the room with small window to see the night view.
Overall, if you are choosing the one with great location. This is what you want. But you want to choose the hotel with nice facility. This may not be the one you want.

I find a very good hotel, clean and comfortable room. Super comfortable large bed and perfect pillows. Just 50 meters from Times Square, that is, in the center of everything. Well communicated, clean and an excellent treatment of the staff towards the clients. Without a doubt, for my part ...... highly recommended. They give you a FREE router to have wifi around the city. Free coffee / tea in the rooms. Small but very comfortable pool, sauna and gym. 100% chance to repeat hotel.

We travelled to New York in September 2018, and spent 2 nights at Room Mate Grace.
The hotel itself is wonderful - clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The highlight is of course the small pool on the 1st floor, which we had to ourselves most of the time we went in!

The best thing about the hotel, BY FAR, is the staff. With about 12 hours before checked in, I hastily emailed the staff a special request for my partner as it was her first time in New York, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful when arranging it. Check in was absolutely seamless, and we were made to feel very welcome by everyone there. I really cannot stress how friendly and nice the lady on the front desk was, I just wish I could remember her name in order to name check her! I wanna say... Ser? Anyway, my inability to remember names aside, the hotel was fab, and the location is awesome. 10/10, would stay again.

Went with my daughter for a staycation, because it has an indoor pool and it is winter. The hotel is really fun because it offers rokms with a bunk bed set up which is great if you have children or have a group and want some space. The facilities were clean and comfortable. I would definitely book here again and recommend it for family vacation stays.

Hotel ideally placed, 30 seconds from times square, quiet room (if you do not turn on air conditioning), comfortable bed, pool a little too hot for my taste but nice to relax after a day out, breakfast ok for the price.

Amazing hotel to stay at! We stayed a week and the whole time was amazing! The front desk staff go above and beyond! The bartender on the weekdays is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel very welcomed! I would definitely go back and stay at this hotel! I dont ever write reviews but this place was one of the best I have ever stayed at. My son loved the style of room he was pretty happy his bed was on the top of us. Thank you to all of the amazing staff for making our vacation a wonderful one!!

The rooms are nice and staff are exceptional. But really its the ambiance, lighting and swim-up bar make this a truly great experience every visit
