This is by far the worst hotel I've been to. I was on a business trip and this hotel is NOT suited for business travelers. The carpet in the room and corridors and reception area are dark and dirty, the lights are dim, and the whole atmosphere is creepy and disturbing. There is a weird black and white stripes pattern on the corridor which makes you dizzy walking to the rooms. in the rooms there are no chairs and no desk, and the bed is adjacent to a huge window, which if you move the curtains, you are completely visible from the street in the lower floors, and the noise is unbearable (renovation in the street all night). There was no coffee at breakfast for 15 minutes (said it's brewing) and the dining area is incredibly crowded. Everything we asked from the reception during the night was answered "there is nothing we can do until the morning when the shift manager / house keeping arrive" which is an unacceptable level of service. Changing rooms there i forgot a few pieces of clothes in the closet, and it took over an hour of shouting and asking repeatedly to search for them until they were suddenly found. Shocking experience, honestly, don't go there.

Attended a pool party at the hotel. Security and bar staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Our experience in Room Mate was very positive. Very nice people, comfortable room, great breakfast until twelve o'clock. Also located next to Time Square and therefore equidistant from almost everything.

Nice decor but lighting level is too low overall. Staff members are very nice, housekeeping is good, facilities are well maintained. I didn't try the breakfast or bar.

Ok so the service was great but when I was walking to my room I felt like I was in a funhouse. The black and white stripes on the wall gave me such a dizzy feeling!

Clean room, large comfortable bed, wardrobe, minibar, television, Spanish and English speaking staff, and maybe some other language. Indoor pool with warm water, sauna, breakfast area and bar.

Very cloose to Time square. Heating system is a litlle bit loud apart of that we enjoyed the stay.

Small rooms, but great service and super close to Time's Square. Very much enjoyed my stay here! Really cool modern vibe in the hotel that is right at the heart of the city!

It's quite near times square, a fantastic place to do tourism, shopping or going to any broadway theatre, and has a very polite staff

NYC prices for a sleep space. A cute pool small room but you are right in the middle of NYC. The rooms are so drab that you rather be outside than be in the sleep space.

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel in early June 2015. Hotel was in the middle of a major renovation but our room was beautiful, clean, & comfortable. Bathroom was very spacious--huge shower with waterfall shower-head. Outstanding location. Staff friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.

The check in was a disaster, I waited for 2 hrs just for them to connect with expedia to fix my reservation. Customer service? Forget it. The breakfast was very very intimidating. I think this is the only hotel that makes me feel uneasy on the breakfast lounge. They have this very unwelcoming look.

Stayed 2 nights found a cockroach in my suitcase after returning home not stopping anywhere else...called for a 1 night refund so that I could spray my house so I didn't get infested with roaches and was denied. Was told I had to send in an invoice from exterminator! Laughable!

Very central hotel, very good cleaning and very friendly people ... very expensive bar, small fridge but the bed is high, but it is very comfortable The AA makes noise and is well isolated from the outside but on busy nights you can hear cars and Noise, take a room that's high up.

Even the coffee and tea are not placed daily in the room is not recommended by the start of the bar and next to the bar and the inconvenience and you inside and outside the hotel is not recommended any good only for the bachelors or men only

Excellent location, next to Times Square. That allows you to move around a large part of Manhattan. Treatment of the staff also very good, very friendly. If someone does not know English, there are many employees who speak Spanish. The downside is that the room was small, with a disproportionately large shower, though.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights. I am from NY, however I moved to the west coast a few years ago. We have stayed in many NYC hotels since then, so I know what to expect with them.
However, I was incredibly pleasantly surprised with Room Mate Grace. This hotel is lovely. We arrived after midnight, right off of a 5 hour flight, so we were beyond eager to get some rest. We were greeted by lovely people and checked in promptly. There s also a very cool small pool around the corner from check in. I wish we had more time so we could have enjoyed it!
Our room was very clean and despite being on the small side, (as is the same with every other standard NYC hotel room), they have their rooms laid out in such a way that they maximize space, without compromising on bed size or amenities.
The bathroom was big, with a nice big shower and a good sized sink.
The AC unit has the option to have the fan running continuously, which is extremely helpful in Manhattan, as it drowns out the noise of the streets below.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We hired this hotel for its location, for being a Spanish chain and for the good reviews it offered, result: we were not wrong in our choice, I can only recommend it, its location is excellent only 3 minutes walk from Times Square 45th street with 7th Ave. The rooms and bathrooms are newly renovated modern decoration, they are not very big but it is normal in the area, we stayed on the 5th floor facing 45th street, with the windows closed no noise is heard, the beds very comfortable.
The hotel has a heated pool, for us a little cold but it is a matter of taste, it also has a sauna.
The hotel breakfast costs $ 15. per person but it is excellent varied and to the Spanish with striped tomato, turkey, ham, coffee ... etc.
The staff is very friendly, attentive and speaks Spanish, which is appreciated if you have any problems or need advice.
It is a success and it was very helpful, the mobile wifi system that you lend at the hotel while you are staying and that gives you internet coverage throughout the city (great idea).
When we return we will definitely choose this hotel again.

Great location Very good bathroom. Good sauna and hot water pool that help to restore strength. Good cleaning room. Very cozy reception. A lot of kindness

The hotel is very modern in design, lots of graphic wall paper, colored lights and velvet furnishings. The rooms were clean, and quiet with a mini fridge, coffee maker and safe in room. The beds were very comfortable and the showers are very spacious. There is an indoor pool but you have to be ready for anyone that is staying in the hotel or sitting in the bar will see you in your bathing suit since there is a plate glass wall along the elevators and in the bar area that looks in to the pool....so you have to not mind being watched. We ended up seeing two different rooms due to a heater malfunction and the one thing I noticed was that in one the sink was in the bathroom and in the other the sink was in the room. just something to think about if someone will be using that sink at a time that doesn't work for the other. front desk staff was very polite and helpful and you cant beat the location, literally a block from times square and walking distance to central park. I would stay here again if I wanted to be in that area of NY.

This is our go to hotel for Manhattan getaway. Very clean hotel with an excellent and friendly staff. It's also very reasonably priced. We will be back!

Small room but nice hidden gem by times square with indoor poor and swim up bar. Hotel staff was pleasant and location is convenient.

Perfect location, good treatment and kindness, good accessibility, with accessible rooms with adapted bathrooms, but the beds are very high, and it is difficult to get up from the wheelchair without help. Good cleanliness and tranquility, and Mediterranean breakfast.

Incredible hotel located two minutes walk from Time Square, both reception and address speak Spanish, they make your stay very pleasant trying to solve any problem or doubt that may arise. Highly recommended

Stayed here for one night on July 20, 2019. Very small, fashionable lobby. Loida and Fatima at the front desk were so friendly, very sweet, and upgraded my room (it was my 60th birthday). The room (601) was very chic and cute, and larger than I had expected. There was no real view from the small alley-facing balcony you re NOT supposed to step out on. One set of courtesy toiletries, refills if you call down. There s no real noticeable noise from the elevator close by the room. Guests were for the most part very quiet. Didn t use the pool. This was my third hotel stay in NYC over two years and I d come back here first.

Used to love this hotel but the last time I stayed here I thought the staff felt very entitled. I was told that I couldn't smoke in my room at least 6 times. One of the girls at the front desk insisted that I call my bank who stops use of my debit card quite often for fraud protection right there in the lobby even though the room was paid for, my phone needed charging, I needed to use the bathroom and I know she heard another staff member say I had stayed there before.

The best thing about Room Mate Grace is its location, unbeatable. Right next to Times Square.
The rooms are very small but functional. The decoration is very cool, like all the Room Mate. On the ground floor there is a very small pool and a music bar where at night there is a great atmosphere to have a few drinks. Breakfast is fair enough for the price. At reception there are free apples all day. We did not have a very good taste in our mouths because we arrived very tired from San Francisco at five in the morning and we went to walk around the city, around eleven we asked if we could enter the room since I was not feeling very well anymore Despite being free, they did not let us ... That detail did not like us since I was terrible! But I recommend it for functionality and location.

Really liked this hotel. The staff was very nice and added a personal touch. We mentioned we were in the city to see a show for my son's 9th birthday and while we were out, they put a sweet note and a cupcake in our room. It really made the experience special! Cute room, funky pool, great time all around!

I recommend the rooms are not very large but both the mattress and the pillows very comfortable total rest .... cleaning and the Spanish receptionist Fatima is a charm helps you in everything and is very friendly.

Only early doors yet as been here 1 night, here for my 60th birthday but my 4th visit to NYC and the place is a diamond of a find.<br/>Good size room, in a King, very clean. Room facilities great. Free WiFi in all areas of the hotel AND a free Wi Fi dongle to take out and about for the duration!!!!!<br/>Loida and Maria on reception when we arrived yesterday very helpful and informative. Keep it up girls!!!<br/>Pool area very spacious and room for plenty in the sauna. <br/>Will write up again next Monday but all the signs point to a great stay!!!!

Been home a week and got to say I can't recommend this place highly enough.
All my first impressions were more than justified.
Clean, spacious, friendly and very pleasant staff, all of them.
Loida on front desk couldn't do enough for us. What a star!
The hotel facilities are second to none and the price if our stay was unbelievable considering we were in the heart of Manhattan!
The buffet breakfast was plentiful and sets you up for the day.
WiFi dongle supplied for out and about is a superb touch!
Would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend anyone considering a NYC visit to check this place out! You won't regret it!!!

Very nice hotel well located with very good service.

My daughter and I went to NY and chose this hotel because of the twin beds. We were so pleased. Rooms were clean. Service was wonderful. The staff was so helpful. Beds were very comfortable. We were so close to Time Square yet hotel was very quite. Very pleased with our choice and if I ever go back to NY this will be the hotel I choose.

Awesome place to stay...i was there for the NewYear... we partied by the pool ..But the staffs were really very friendly and helpful... overall their service was very fast and friendly even in such a busy time.. i will definitely stay here again if i go to NYC for vacation... i want to specially thank MARCELL for being such an awesome person.... The customer service experience was just awesome from MARCELL.. .. i will remember it... thnx guys....

Big room, big bathroom, comfortable bed and the location is ideal for tourists.

The hotel cannot be better located !! Next to Times Square! The decor and the rooms are wonderful. The breakfast is amazing and the best of all the hotel staff, pending at all times of all, nice, super friendly. We have been at home and will be safe again!

A magnificent location 100m from Times Square between the square and the sixth avenue. Our room was tiny but it was enough for us to sleep and store 4 bags comfortably. The treatment was magnificent at all times and it is especially appreciated that part of the staff is Spanish. They also gave us a device to have Wi-Fi in the city that came with pearls.

The room was good, as was the breakfast. The gym and the pool are pretty small though, but it's a good thing to have them anyway :)

Pretty cute hotel within walking distance to everything Manhattan has to offer. Just be prepared that since the hotel is so centrally located its pretty noisy and the room are small. But really good for the price. The pool is a nice bonus.

Simply a great place to stay while in NYC. The location was great and the staff were really appreciative of us as guests.

We spent about 4 nights/5 days here and we never had a worry or problem. The staff: Christopher, Stefan, Lou, and many others were always willing to help us with tips and tricks around NYC, get us VIP passes, and simply help our busy schedule go with ease.

While we stayed there the hotel hosted a hip-hop bar/pool party and the staff maintained control of it the entire time while providing a good time to the attendees.
The big selling point for me was the next day. The next day they actually drained and cleaned the entire pool area and still kept the hotel cleaned for other activities like breakfast buffets and the sort.

Overall, for blindly searching out a hotel to stay in while visiting NYC, my research paid off well and I will always recommend them for a great location and visit.
Side note, they are also two doors away from the Cranberry Cafe which is a cafe and market in one. So if you need late night snacks, drinks, or an affordable lunch it is just a few feet away at your leisure.

I don't often leave reviews, so it says a lot about my experience when I do choose to write one. My partner and I took my 9 year old daughter on a short overnight trip to see a Broadway show when we stayed at the Room Mate Grace. The staff was excellent, very kind and accommodating. The atmosphere was very unique and chic. I wanted to treat my daughter to something special and "cool" for her birthday, rather than the cold corporate feel of a major hotel chain. Room Mate Grace had a one-of-a-kind intimate, boho atmosphere. When you step inside you almost completely forget you are in the middle of Times Square. I was worried about staying right in Times Square due to the noise, but we actually couldn't hear any outside noise at night from our room. My daughter thought the fancy bunkbed setup was the coolest thing ever. They've managed to make bunkbeds really chic (for the rooms that include them). Our room was very clean. The location was incredibly close to our show which made navigating so much easier. When booking, I was a little worried that it might not be too family-friendly but the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming to my daughter, as well.

We stayed at this wonderful location pre-Covid-19. They were absolutely AMAZING. I was traveling with my pre-teen daughter. We'd never stayed in the city before. The staff was absolutely AMAZING!! Great service and guidance for the "must see" places.

Attentive attention, worth the redundancy. Adequate room, very good bathroom and very spacious and comfortable bed. I think one can not ask for more to a quick visit to NYC. I insist and it is to recognize the attention, closeness, education and good work of oneself, starting with all the members of reception. Thank you.

Putting the bed in that loft is fine for young people, but not so much for older people.

Great hotel! VERY close to Times Square. I read reviews indicating the pool parties were too loud etc so I requested a room away from the pool. We were on the 5th floor (pool is on 2nd floor). No issues for us with pool parties and they had 2 during our stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. We got the quad room. Loved the separate bunks, no one had to share a bed. Also room service prices were same as restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.

We have spent Christmas recently in NY, and the hotel is very central, good treatment of all the staff, good breakfast ... and the best that brightened up the breakfast with beautiful Christmas songs. Nice and very clean rooms. We liked it so much that we will soon go to the new Filippo matt room in Rome.

A beautiful hotel, located very close to times square. The well dressed staff professional knowledgeable. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, they are clean and very well appointed. The king size bed we slept in was very comfortable.

Front desk harassed me all night complaining about my guest that been gone for hours. I found a bed bug and they try to say I was lying.

What a find this was. Fabulous location at an extremely reasonable price. The room, although small, was fully functional and had a fantastic shower. The breakfast is plentiful and has a wide and varied selection to cater for most tastes. The staff at the hotel were so welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. If I were ever to return to NY, this is where I'd stay. Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

Perfect location. Everyone was helpful and even let us check in early without charging us a fee to do so. Room was clean and everything was as described. We ll stay here again when we come back to NY.

I was at the pool area for a party by promoters: nynex and CeeJay it was fun. My girls and I came out. The bartenders were ok and the place was nice too. Wish the staff would accommodate events more often .

Excellent hotel. A perfect location 50 meters from Times Square. Clean on all sides and good facilities, pool on the ground floor together with the sauna and the gym for a break from the city. If I went free at the hotel and they lend you a portable router so that you have free internet throughout the city. The receptionists all provide perfect attention, if someone did not know Spanish, they would explain and understand you. Special review to Marc from reception.

Hotel has absolute top location. Only 2 min walk and you are at Time Square.
Hotel or room were very clean and were cleaned daily. The rooms are not very big, but for a sightseeing holiday, in which one is only in the hotel for sleeping anyway, they are absolutely fine. As well as the pool, not really big, but to relax and come down in the evening he is completely enough.
All in all, I have to say, we were very satisfied!

Round trip JFK very easy by airtrain + subway.

The room is nice and comfortable, normal size with storage under the bed for suitcases and a large closet with 2 mirror doors.
We were on the tenth floor courtyard side, the room is well soundproofed, the bedding is perfect.

The bathroom is large with a rain shower that has good pressure.

Housekeeping is done every day.
The breakfast is rich and varied.

All staff are friendly and efficient: special mention to Serg for the welcome in French :-)
