The best. An amazing happy hour. Great food, beer, and cocktails. Crazy architecture and furniture. An amazing atmosphere. And plus ping pong outside to top it off. A must go to in Portland.

I love the decor of this place, along with the back patio! They also have some surprisingly fun performances here. Cocktails and food are a little hit and miss, but it's a reliable spot for a chill drink.

I like this place. The place is nice, food is ok, beer is great! Can carry dog in the open area. It's comfortable even in winter time or rainy day because it has big ceiling and nice heating system.

First and foremost it's one of the coolest, biggest bar spaces I've been to in portland. The enormous back patio, part of which is covered and houses a few ping-pong tables along with seating, and part uncovered with bamboo-esque plants/foliage all around. The interior is a substantial space in it's own right and as long as there's some people to fill it, it has a really fun ambiance. The drinks are solid, reasonably priced and creative and the couple bits of food I've had were fine if not spectacular. But really, it's all about the physical spaces here and they are awesome, so the bar is awesome.

Nice atmosphere. It can get a bit crowded, but it's a great place to spend sometime hanging out with friends. The food is excellent. Lots of choices. The cheese fondue is a must. The drink menu is also great, though it can be a bit of a wait to get orders back to the table. There is limited seats inside, but outside has an entire seating area that's almost roomier than the inside. It's covered so no worries on the rain. The one main con besides the wait time is the fact that it has one bathroom. One. For woman and men. That's a bit ridiculous for how many people frequent here.

Very nice ambiance and great back patio for seating. In the winter, the covered heated patio works for hanging out, and there is even more patio for warmer summer nights. Good food is served here. Happy hour is great, but the menu is limited.

I love this place even though it is mostly populated by 21-30 year olds and I'm several decades older. I go here because I love the funky sort of retro atmosphere and the food is delicious. Their French Dip Sandwich is the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE!! I like their fondue and their salads are excellent. There is a popular outside patio, but I haven't spent much time out there Their hours expanded and I think they open at 3 or 3:30 and have a very good happy hour. Drinks are very reasonably priced. I like their hot toddies when It's rainy and cold out. The place has minimal signage. Park nearby and walk to it.

Pretty cool place but they desperately need another restroom, the line is ridiculous all the time. The whole place also smells like spilt liquor and beer, maybe clean the floor more often? The covered outside with fireplace is what makes this bar.

Wow!!!!! 20+ minutes for a drink is crazy too long to wait. But it's cool the bartender were doing their best with the 20 some people in the place. Servers we very attentive to need but come on, 20 minutes on a week night.

I walk in and instantly smiled. The entire place seemed like they were having a good time. I went in alone on a Friday night just to get a drink and some food. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The people who were there were also great. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was the best I've ever had. And so cheap too!! I will definitely be coming back here soon!

Rontoms was a great experience. Every Sunday night they have live music and it's easy to just plop down on a couch and drink/listen. My favorite part about Rontoms is the back patio. With a massive wooden awning and the fireplaces spread out it feels cozy and easy to spark up a conversation with people @ your table. I had a blast and if I'm ever bored and want to get out on a Sunday I'll know where to go!

Service was pretty good. I had the BLT sandwich, and it was pretty amazing. I think it was around 7 dollars and I felt I got a good bang for my buck. The patio area is huge and has lots of seating.

Nothing to hinder/prevent me from enjoying this "'Kooler' than Kool place". Did I mention the beefsteak I had & the more than reasonable $ charged. Did I mention the Ruben.....?. Don't ask me any lazy/lethargic queery, say "Google ' call such & such and ask them. (Period.).

Worst service I have experienced in a while. Two servers completely ignored us, we had to go inside and ask for service TWICE before someone came out and begrudgingly took our order. The server brought chicken skewers to my vegetarian friend who ordered cucumber salad, and the drinks were wrong as well. It's a shame, because there patio is the best in Portland. The food is ok, but the fondue was barely warmed up. I would not go back here.

Fun little spot to get some craft beer wine and other mixed cocktail drinks. They also make the place very inviting and sort of a friend style feel they provide board games as well which is something that will keep you there and continue to drink

Great place. Good vibe on the east side. great patio outside with ping pong. service could be better as they come off a bit snobby sometimes, but hey, its portland. what do you expect. love this bar though. east side chic

Favorite spot for lunch. Always delicious food - really, it's better than it should be at this price point. Cocktails are great, as is the staff. Very cool and modern feel inside. Covered/open patio for dining and smoking. Highly recommend!

Big space with an awesome patio that is only rivaled by 1 other space in this city. Sunday's Free music, with a broad spectrum of musical styles, and during summer outside in that patio area. Have enjoyed the food very much, not inexpensive but not over the top either.

Happy hour food was excellent and generous. The steak on the kale salad was particularly good, perfectly cooked on the rare side. Interior is pretty stark, mid-century furniture, rather dark late on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Sitting by the fire made it cozy. We'll be back.

Rontoms is the our favorite bar in Portland, both for the atmosphere and the stellar food at a great price. The back patio is the best in town, hands down! We had our wedding reception there and it was absolutely perfect! We highly suggest this venue for special events or simply dinner and drinks. The free music on Sundays is a plus too! -Jm

Great spot, the staff are friendly and make a welcoming and light atmosphere. The food and drinks are delicious. The outdoor patio makes for a great spot to hang out and relax with friends over drinks. You can't go wrong here.
