Great view of the river...guess that's why it's riverview

Awesome location overlooking the river and weir. Haven't eaten their in a little while but it was lovely pub food when we did. It's on the cards to go back again soon.

Fantastic food and a great spot sitting on the deck overlooking the river while eating lunch and enjoying a cold drink. Recommended.

Great location for a quick drink and catchup or even a longer stay with a meal. Large deck overlooking the Ross River, also has plenty of indoor seating with aircon.

Well cooked, generous serves. Pub grub but excellent pub grub.

Attended an AGM in one of the small function rooms. Very well laid out, great food and good facilities. Very busy tavern in a lovely area.

Have been here twice this month. It was ok the first time so i thought i would give it another go. Very disappointed the second time. Apparently there is a new menu since we were here last. It sux. One salad on the regular menu. The kids spaghetti tastes like a tin of bitter tomatoes on pasta with some meatballs thrown in. Kids won't even finish it. I had the salad from todays specials board. Totally bland. Covered in red onion. The lamb was full of gristle and fat. Will not come back again.

Soooo much food! If your after a good very filling pub meal can't go past this venue, portions are very generous and tasty as well.

And 2 add 1 Barman of 2 other staff orders once and didn't have 2 re order every time probs the most enjoyable experience Xx

Friendly staff and reasonably priced meals and drinks

A good range of beers on top. A huge deck that looks out over the Ross River. Meals are good value.

We have done a lot of traveling but we never experienced a place like Riverview Tavern. Excellent service friendly people .Nice and clean room and lovely meals. Surrounding is also fantastic plenty of wildlife and walking tracks. Thanks Riverview Tavern we will be back and recommended your place to our family and friends. Jack and Tina Oostra.

Nice setting. Dirty tables. Poor service. Slow food service and average food to wait so long for. Won't be returning.

Modern venue with indoor and outdoor dining (overlooking Aplin's Weir) with pool table and big screen on the deck and separate sports bar with TAB and screens showing many sport's leagues. Private room available for functions + pokies. Excellent Dining Experience. Hoping to see a return to Live Music on Fridays and Saturdays.

Not as good as I thought before but good enough to spend a night with friends. Not special but good.

Food was good, had a good array of choices and time taken for meal was ok. Trivia night was a bit of fun.

We dined on the deck overlooking the river and it was beautiful. A reduced menu due to COVID but sure to be something for everyone.

The view from the verandah whilst eating or drinking is great. Some problems with serving of food.

The location is great, the quality of food is hit n miss ,I found is normal throughout Lilly white group.

Kitchen was closed for renovations and the foodie trucks they had to replace it didn't offer much.

Waited an hour for food and I literally felt sick after eating it. This place is a disgrace. Avoid.

I am so grateful for the attention I have received from the team here at Riverview. I was warmly welcomed even though I came a bit early and, because I am spending most of my time visiting at the hospital, the courtesy bus has been available to drop me off and pick me up. Thank you for taking the stress out of my visit to Townsville. I will be telling my friends about your warmth and helpfulness. Thank you.

For years I lived down the road from the Riverview Tavern, so I've got an attachment to the place. Food has always been decent and at a reasonable price. Ten bucks for a kilo of chicken wings is great value. Sitting out on the deck and having a beer while watching the river is very valming, it's a great spot.

This place is just amazing. The most friendly staff. Would recommend this place very highly.

Friendly service. Lovely food. You only get 1 key per room. Hard when you have more than 2 to a room!

Roomy, good atmosphere, wonderful young staff. Beautiful location

So disappointed with the quality of food. I had a rib fillet steak burger. Meat was cold, no care taken with presentation. No love on the plate. Understaffed bar. I'm usually very satisfied with my experience at this hotel. Not so today.

Got 3 beers in glasses at about 8:15, got a second round at 8:30 and got served plastic cups. And was told we can not have our beer in glasses.
