DEQ in the back of the Ritz is a very beautiful patio. Great comfy seats, fireplace, bar with outdoor pizza oven. Private, and sophisticated. The food is delicious, and they make a proper rum & coke. We took a tour of the Ritz Carlton rooms, and even the upscale corner room was, well...just boring. The only cool thing about the rooms were the ability to look at the tele right in the bathroom mirror, so you could get stock updates while you brushed your teeth. We saw the spa with several anxious to serve attendants, and many people simply ready to serve you. Hmmm, too many actually. Swimming pool area was also not in a good location. Overall, the hotel looks and feels very business executive like, and geared towards the male factor.

Went for Sunday Brunch. Quality of buffet items were great. Seafood bar is very impressive with Lobster tails, Raw Oysters, Crab Legs, Mussels, Shrimps, Salmon Sashimi, Smoked Salmon and Smoked Trout. Has your standard brunch items in Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes as well as lunch items like chicken, pasta, roasted potatoes and prime rib. All you can drink Caesars, Bellinis and Mimosas and a very impressive dessert room with a chocolate fondue inside the wine cellar.

We had a great time this weekend at our 2018 Work Winter Party. We were greeted in the most amazing possible manner from the Valet team, to front desk team (that gave us champagne) and the house keeping staff. Every time we walked by an employee they would ask if we were ok, even the bellhop in our elevator and if we were having a great time. Guillermo, one of the Valet team greeted us in the best possible way. He made us feel so welcomed and thanked us for staying at the Hotel for the evening. Thank you to all staff members that we met this weekend, not only did we have a great Hotel, but the experience was "Top Notch" ...Mike

Upscale bar with awesome lounge patio, music, and decor. Drinks are a bit pricey, but to be expected here. Live flame as table centerpieces are great for keeping your wife (who's cold at night, even in the middle of summer) warm. Hot spot during events.

I stayed at the hotel had no complains they give what u spend a nice upscale hotel. But I'm very disappointed. Ordered a limo to the airport by asking the doorman name LEE and went outside to smoke, I saw this doorman LEE asking my driver $15 dollars I thought it may be something else but my driver on the way told me that every pick up he does from this place they pay $15-$20 to the doorman. Very disappointed that there is no morals left. They get paid to do this job and they should do it without taking these extra commissions.
Driver asked me to not mention his name at all otherwise he will be thrown out of the line up.

The service stays true its reputation. Impeccable. From the time you walk in, the efficacy of the bellman to the front desk, followed by refreshing tea from Sloan, if you choose to, Ritz Toronto shows, how hospitality should be done. The club is off limits and the Ritz shares space with the Ritz residences. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom mirrors sport a TV. The nespresso is exactly what you need in the morning and house keeping is professional.

We had some drinks at DeQ bar on the lobby level. In the summer the patio is open and it's the best place in Toronto. This is my first time in the cold weather with the patio closed. Same drinks and food but had this weird airport lounge feeling. It's cold and impersonal. It's not as warm as a place you want to catch up with friends in, more like formal 15min work thing.

Just had a corporate party on this hotel (4th Floor) and was one of the worst holiday parties I ever had.
Aside from the ballroom space that felt deserted, and completely unwelcoming the most awful and surprising experience of all was the food.
People who prepared this food should feel ashamed for serving it. Even though that food was served to a generic corporate event with people that you think will not come back that often, the food was still supposed to represent a top luxury hotel but instead was beyond disappointing. After this experience, I know for sure I will never even think of trying their restaurants in future.
Hotel people who organized this event should change jobs. It is totally unacceptable to have an event like this where the food runs out in the first 15 minutes. The food was very bad but the worst was that many people that came just few minutes late could not eat anything. I trust that people who organized this event knew how many people were coming and should have prepared a decent amount of food.
For the hundreds of people who came to your hotel and left hungry and disappointed this will probably be the only experience they will ever have with your hotel and your brand.

The suite was very nice and clean. The view of the cn tower, Rogers center, and aquarium were amazing. The prices in the room for the bar items and water were unreasonable and I think they need to address this. Overall, pleasant experience.

High Tea was a bit disappointing. Within our first five minutes we were told three times that we need to leave by 5pm (once would have sufficed) The tea was tepid. Staff was good about switching the pots up, but my second pot was a different variety. Our dessert trays arrived 12 minutes before 5. To be fair, they did not press us to leave at 5.

I came here for the first time for a Swedish message by Rafael and absolutely loved his message he was amazing. However the receptionists attitude was very disappointing. I walked in and honestly felt extremely disrespected by the receptionists instead of a simple smile and greet 5 ladies are standing and just chit chatting which I absolutely don't mind, however they need to acknowledge when a client walks in especially given the fact that this is an extremely luxury spa and expensive and a simple smile is the minimum they can give a client . I go to the front and had to greet the receptionist myself, she literally rushes me and doesn't explain anything such as the ability of using the swimming pool and all the other amenities.

Finally after the message I went to pay and she tells me I have added an 18% tip and I asked to lower the tip amount she gave me an eye roll which is not professional at all!

Very disappointed with the front desk's service as I was expecting more professionalism given the luxury and price of this spa.

Amazing hotel, definitely worth the money! Me and my boyfriend spent one night this past weekend for our anniversary and I am amazed at how excellent the facilities, the room service, the size of the hotel room and the amenities, definitely will be coming back.

Amazing service! Private bar staff wrote a note to say he noticed we enjoy ginger ale, so proceeded to stock the fridge with complimentary cans. Customer service at its finest. The Ritz-Carlton's got it.

I have stayed at the Toronto Ritz Carlton several times and every time the service is mediocre to very poor. I am an elite member and as an elite memeber I should be provided with free upgrades. I checked in and asked for an upgrade and the lady who checked us in went to a Manager to ask if we can have an upgrade who then said no. The lady explained its family day long weekend and they re sold out of the suites. The next morning I asked the valet employees if the hotel was sold out they told me that they weren t sold out or even close to it. I also checked online last night and it showed suites were available. I too am in hospitality and the service I received here was very poor. I have stayed at other chains of Ritz and I have received upgrades without asking for them but the Toronto location has NEVER given an upgrade to me. I am a frequent guest and stay at the Ritz often whenever I come Toronto. Last night I booked two rooms and as a frequent guest they don t show the same service as I would receive at any other Hotel I m going to for the first time. I am disappointed with the service and will not be staying here again as every time I have stayed here I become more and more disappointed with my stay. There should be more acknowledgment towards their loyal customers with elite member access. My expectations are that this specific location should have more upscale service from management and concierge.
