A place where you can read in peace, drink and eat quality.

The walls: morning, afternoon, evening always remains a place to spend your days in relaxation, especially in the less cold seasons to enjoy the courtyard. Excellent aperitif with a wide choice.

A good place to do the apericena, a very beautiful place with a good atmosphere. Too bad the local people were not at all pleasant. I would still recommend visiting the place.

I came here for coffee and to work on my laptop, but when the lunch guests started coming in I decided to join them and order some food. The gnocchi was delicious, washed down with a glass of house red. Best solo business lunch ever :)

I had a drink with my girlfriend. The only thing to save was the background music. The cocktails made them under my eyes, but maybe I would have preferred not to have seen how they made them. The food was really varied and poor. The creative dishes mentioned in the description were beans and chickpeas, couscous with pickles, halved tomatoes and little else. The only hot dish was pasta, which remained untouched for the entire duration of the aperitif, definitely not inviting. The restaurant was as cold as the staff. Too expensive for such a service! Bah

Fantastic place. Wonderful scenery and great, great cocktails. You must be here, at least one time. It's a former penitentiary, now transformed into a scenic apartment building. You can drink and eat, and have an outside experience in summer, with live music. Love it.

I went to Murate for an aperitif. The price is 10 Euros, including a drink and buffet. The dishes were diverse: vegetables, appetizers, first and second, all pretty good. The cocktails are not the good of Florence, but acceptable. The great thing is the atmosphere in the square in front of the restaurant, delicate light and festive atmosphere. A pleasant and friendly place. Recommended if you want a very challenging place without spending a fortune!

Ideal venue for parties and evenings with friends. Beautiful atmosphere and decent food. In summer the outdoor tables are beautiful.

The place is very nice, especially for the interior location but outside is very special. Parking is not easily found in the surroundings, but it is better to leave the car on the adjacent avenues. Pretty good cocktails, large selection of beers and wines. Recommended, especially in the evening.

This place is located in a place that has become historic for the Florentines. The walled old prison place redone well very welcoming, the bar is nice but I can not tell you so much I took only a froth, since being an ecological operator I go there in the morning

Local placed inside the old prisons of via Ghibellina, friendly and pleasant atmosphere, in summer it is very well outside, surrounded by what once were the cells of the inmates. Recommended.

I often come here for an aperitif. Especially during the summer, due to the large outdoor area and the many tables outside. The buffet is not huge, however the trays are often replenished and dinners are also plenty of vegetables. They also often organize small concerts, independent film screenings, and nice events for most.

Excellent and abundant aperitif, good assortment of beers and wines at honest prices, all in the beautiful and evocative setting of the former Murate prison. During the year they also organize events such as exhibitions or high-level concerts: a must-see place!

I love visiting this coffee shop when I need to hide away and work or when I feel like hanging out with friends. There is ample seating room with a few couches as well. Be sure to check out the event schedule while you're in.

High prices, slow service. For a cafe with study tables wi if should be provided but it's not.

I've only been here once and it was the day of the Italy match, it was equipped with two big screens, lots of tables (and a few chairs) outdoors. The problem is that there was a huge amount of people and only 5 waiters. The entire staff was in trouble so much so that the pizzas ordered at the beginning of the games arrived when it was over. And what courage it takes to define them as pizzas!
An evaluation should be made on a "normal" evening, as the difficulties of that evening were understandable even if a little more staff would have been enough.

An evocative and fascinating environment you can perceive the past and clearly a warning to good behavior, well studied for leisure without taking anything away from the architecture of the complex and in addition the large and functional courtyard lends itself very well in summer.
A prison can be redeveloped and the whole city can enjoy it.
