Change the summer schedule, you approach to find it closed when you put it here that is open. It has already happened to me with several places in Florence.

How to transform an old prison from a place of imprisonment to a place of inclusion. The bulwarks are a modern architectural masterpiece that refers to Dutch scenarios. I never thought that a prison could be so social. :-)

Large room in the heart of Florence: average prices, service and hygiene. In addition to coffee and aperitifs, its spacious rooms and airy inner courtyard are available for conferences, book presentations, musical events, etc. Also noteworthy is the activity of bookcrossing that continuously hosts inside it: anyone can deposit books, magazines or DVDs on its bookstores and also take them in turn. Unmissable for a small (or long) cultural break.

Very nice place to chat and relax, extensive cocktail selection and nice buffet

Very beautiful environment. I was there with friends to celebrate a birthday and the table was really tight, while the food and drink was quite good (the latter perhaps a little too little alcohol ...). The place is nice, but it should be better organized.

I share and copy Sara Grandini's review, since I was one of the four people who celebrated that evening.

Together with some friends I organized our graduation party for a total of 27 people with a private buffet at the table ( 15 per person). Despite the reservation and a further confirmation call the day before the party, the evening took place in a truly confused way. There were only three tables reserved, which obviously were not enough to seat all the invited people and only after several complaints were further seats added. Even the buffet at the table was not satisfactory and it consisted of only a few trays of couscous, pasta and some meat and sausage. Too bad because the Murate is a really nice place but, apparently, not suitable for large groups

Beautiful space. Very varied aperitif and well made cocktails. Guaranteed entertainment. The place is hospitable and you can study / teach yourself / spend time etc.

The place is very beautiful in this square .. aperitivo leaves the usual things to eat for the drink to be desired alcohol does not exist .. all very very bland. For our health ??? !!!!

The restaurant is located in a wonderful place, with a place inside and outside. The interior is welcoming and cute. Good guys behind the counter who prepare appetizers and cocktails. The buffet is not very varied, and it didn't seem much to me.

We had a hard time finding it, they have a large terrace and they play live music. I asked for a spritz aperol they charged me 7, with 3 more I had the option of accessing the pecking, often pecking !! It was like a free buffet but smaller, they gave you the dish and you could take whatever you wanted.

A bar in the site of a former prison. Has tables/outdoor seating in the courtyard with the high old brick walls the prisoners looked at every day. Really cool environment.

7 euros drink and appetizer starting at 7:00 pm (a buffet with food that goes alone: pasta, meat, vegetables) in a warm and very local atmosphere. It does not disappoint.

It is intimate because it is gathered in a cozy little square and mixes ancient walls with modern furniture, diversifies shows with a season-to-season stage, with various types of sounds or small festivals, or with the big screen for sporting events.
