Gorgeous, lovely service, and great spa treatments. The restaurants and eating quarters are lovely as well as the drinks. Would highly recommend to anybody. Don't bring younger kids though, peace needs to be kept.

Expensive but worthwhile. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Checkin and check out was a breeze. Breakfast was okay - consider ordering from the menu if you aren't hungry enough to eat 3+ plates.

Yummy

Drove in from Calgary for just one night to celebtate our 29th wedding anniversary and loved every minute. Our room was lovely and the view, stunning. Bathroom was a good size although the large rain shower head wasn't satisfying and very high up. I prefer a more effective concentrated shower head. A walk in the rain doesn't wet or rinse my hair effectively. We had booked a restaurant downtown for dinner but were so taken with the views that we cancelled it and our server in the Larkspur lounge booked us a table at the hotel's Primrose dining room instead. The 3-dip snack in the Larkspur lounge was first-rate. Our dinner was excellent and seated right in front of a picture window made it perfect. Desserts were terrific too. Service was a little slow but sincere and friendly. Next morning we tried the breakfast buffet and again we were thoroughly pleased. Definately would go there again over the Banff Springs Hotel.

Perfect for exploring Bannf, free transport on local bus service that stops right outside & very frequent.
Offered an upgrade to a "superior view" for $50, we declined and found our ground floor, floor to ceiling picture window looked out on the forest, brilliant! Huge rooms, big ensuite (from a British perspective ;)
Excellent service & breakfasts, ate out in Banff for the rest.

Be very careful! This is false advertising. The "RimRock" Hotel does not do what it says on the tin.
I, being a male, woke up with a Rock Hard, well, let's just say my soilder was at full attention, but the staff refused to offer my rock a rim job. RimRock hotel also has no toilets in their rooms, just three sinks. Why three? I have no idea. It was a one bed room.

My next door neighbor was also keeping urban bees.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful mountain view, good food in the restaurant, very friendly and attentive service. Received all the check-in messages and notifications by text - super convenient.

From the moment we checked in, the staff were rude and unhelpful. When we told them we had an appointment for the spa and would like to have our bags taken to our room so we could check in at the spa, we were told that wasn't an option. Then the front desk staff gave us the wrong directions to the spa, resulting in us running through the hotel trying to drop our bags at our room and get to the spa on time. The spa staff were even worse; no smiles, no welcoming warmth, just "sit down, fill the forms." When we went into the change rooms, the showers were dirty and there was dirt/mud/something brown running down the door of the shower (pictures). When I informed the staff, they shrugged it off! The spa staff talked through both of our treatments and were completely unprofessional. As the last appointments of the day, the spa was darkened when we came out of the treatment rooms. The spa was a complete waste of money and time. Finally, it took nearly an hour for valet to bring our vehicle around when we checked out the next morning. How this hotel has 5 Diamond status is beyond me.

The reason for the opinion like this its simple.
heaters are so noisy so did not sleep all night .
If the view wouldn't be that good this hotel should cost around $99 per night and definitely not $350 like i have paid
Lobby look amazing just like 5star hotel, but rooms have no more than 3stars (chipped sink and tab, stains in bathroom everywhere ,even some rust.
With this experience this hotel will be very last option in Banff for me.
So far the best option in Banff is Caribou Lodge, way better prices and rooms are way higher standards

Great service, rooms spacious and decent amenities. Pool area however a little worse for wear over the years we ve been staying there. Primrose restaurant always terrific. Hotel could offer more incentives for regular frequent guests.

We really had a fantastic holiday here, in a beautiful hotel at one of the most amazing place in Canada. The staffs were helpful & polite. The food & drinks are good. All in all we had an excellent & unforgettable time here.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms, comfortable beds and a view that is amazing to wake up to. Nice facilities and the restaurants are great. Yes it's expensive but the rooms are nicer than the Banff Springs and more affordable. Having to pay for parking is a downside.

We have stayed here a few times now and it seems to get better with every visit. Love the views, the rooms, the food and even the staff, Mickael at the front desk remembered us and made us feel right at home, even gave us a courtesy phone call to make sure we liked our room and view.

Rimrock, we will see you again soon!

Amazing location. The view from my room was beautiful.

Some of my colleagues on the North side of resort got a view of the parking lot, which was disappointing for them... but a good tip is to check with the front desk where your room is facing!

The food was delicious and the conference center had a breathtaking view.

The hotel is a little old and could use some upgrading, but it didn't have any major issues.

All the staff there were attentive and helpful.
Overall a great experience.

Amazing location, hotel built into side of mountain with awesome views of river valley and mountains. Bedding, towels and decor were very good. Room size was very nice with King bed, sitting area and table. Bath adequate size with tub/shower and single sink. Staff attentive and helpful. Lobby bar and restaurant was great place to enjoy a drink and the huge fireplace. Bus transport into town is just outside the front entrance.

Beautiful place and friendly staff. A good place to treat yourself. Hot springs within walking distance and lake Louise a quick 30 min trip. I highly recommend to anyone staying in the are!

I did not go but from the pics I saw I thought it looks pretty cool and sweet. I'll have the experience of it for myself in one weeks time. But I think some of y'all are being extremely high class and mean, hotels are trying their hardest y'all. Raven out. *drops mic*

Rooms with a great view!
We ordered chicken wings and burger. Wings were great but burgers were quite dry :/ Otherwise it was a great experience and i would definitely visit here again!

A beautiful facility located just outside of the town of Banff, perched on the side of a mountain, offering unbeatable views. The customer service is exceptional, and the overall experience is sure to delight.

The layout of the hotel is not ideal if you are staying on the third floor in particular due to the way the pool/spa is constructed. The lobby is on the seventh floor because the hotel is built on the side of a mountain. The parkade you pull in on the top floor and drive down, if you drive a half ton truck or a larger SUV you should be parking on the top floor, except half the stalls are reserved for small cars or handicapped drivers. You could pay the valet to park your vehicle which would releive some of these parking issues. The staff are very professional and kind. The Dinner menus are pretty pricey but the breakfast buffet I found was reasonable. And the food is actually amazing. The rooms are nice but my only complaint about them is the TV's are 32" or smaller, the mini fridge is the super tiny cube sized ones with no freezer, and their are no microwaves. These are minor though. The best part of this hotel is the view and the things around it. The Banff hot springs are literally a 2 minute walk pushing a stroller from the hotel lobby entrance, you get shuttle service to basically everywhere in Banff for free, their are shuttles leaving and coming to the hotel almost every 30 minutes which makes staying in Banff so easy. Our overall experience staying at this hotel was nice, if not alittle confusing to get around and alittle expensive. I would definitely recommend looking into this hotel to anybody wanting to vacation in Banff.

Upper scale hotel ... well worth the money due largely to the staff. It can be intimidating being greeted by a porter in a tophat upon arrival outside the hotel. Valet parking is available ... or you can opt to park yourself in the underground parkade after checking in. Your luggage usually arrives in your room before you do if you choose the check in staff to unload your vehicle. The secure storage manned by staff for any ski equipment is convenient. The Concierge is great to go to, to get more information of the hotel, ammenities, shuttles, or tourist attractions. I have stayed here on several occassions over the past few years, and have not had a bad experience with any staff. Other hotels could take lessons from the staff here. All staff exude happiness and are extremely courteous and are more than willing to assist you wherever needed...truly treat you like a long lost family member. They aim to please! Any issue with a room is remedied quickly and efficiently. The rooms are annointed well and the bathroom ameneties (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc) are excellent quality. Views from rooms overlooking the valley and Banff are wonderful. There is a fitness room. Racquetball court. Pool. Hot tub. Spa. Skating ice (in winter). 3 excellent upscale restaurants can strain one's budget. Diva's, a bar/lounge, is open only Friday and Saturday's but offer happy hour deals (which are deals!). Lobby is huge and a great place to converse or relax while enjoying the views! Shuttles are available to and from downtown Banff and if you are a downhill skier, shuttles will connect with busses in Banff to various hills. This is a hotel in which you feel appreciated and pampered. Don't stay here if you are not willing to spend a wee bit more on your accommodations in order to be treated with the utmost respect and appreciation and has been largely lost in most hotels. Highly recommend this is a hotel you should experience at least once in your lifetime!

Great views. Good looking property. Delicious buffet breakfast. I especially liked the free weights at the gym. A broken treadmill (non operational) needs repair as it frustrated many during my stay.

I was at a company Christmas party at the Rimrock Resort in December 2013 and I asked for the vegetarian option. I was treated to a wonderful mushroom ravioli that was heavenly. So good that it didn't even need the cheese. I wish to compliment the chef who made this fantastic creation. Best wishes to you now and always and in all ways.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, with gorgeous views on both sides (though I did love looking out at the valley, the water is the bluest of blues). Super close to both the gondola and the hot springs, with parking on site for $20 a night. The restaurant is amazing, you must definitely get the dessert sampler!

Our company just hosted our first retreat here and were thoroughly impressed! The very accommodating staff worked with us at every step, from reasonable pricing, to accommodating last minute changes, to thoughtful freebies along the way. The missing star is from smaller items like an overpriced breakfast buffet. (Order from the menu, that's excellent), almost no availability for late night drinks with a single overloaded lounge, and then the beautiful outdoor patio we enjoyed instead had all the fires turned off at 10:30 on a Saturday night. No matter, the great views and beautiful property all added up to a memorable and valuable weekend for all of us!

I loved this place was the most beautiful hotel I ve ever stayed in. We had the panoramic grandview room and it was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and nice. There s a little convenience store in here too and it has amazing coffee and the staff there are so nice and friendly. The only thing was that one of our key cards stopped working, we came back from an all day hike so we were tired and it was annoying. We were told it was because our phone was next to it, well my phone was next to mine and it still worked, my bfs phone was no where near his card and it was the one not working. I believe they only activated it for one night rather than two. Minor inconvenience, and the man who checked us in was new but he was very nice.

We have never stayed at the hotel as it is a little pricey then we normally like to spend but with the money we save staying somewhere cheaper we always make sure to go to the Eden for dinner. This restaurant right in the hotel is by far one of the best in western Canada. Stunning views, perfect and uniquely cooked food, and expertly selected drink menus and recommendations make this a must visit in the Rockies. This is the perfect place to impress a date or rekindle some romance on an anniversary. Believe me you wont regret it, this is me and my wife's favorite restuarant.

Celebrated my hubby's 50th birthday here last night and Fred, Terry, and the rest of the team knocked it out of the park! We had a gorgeous table with sweeping views of the mountains, the pace of the food was perfect, and the taste/quality was amazing! Especially in these trying times, it was such a treat to have these folks create such a special evening. We have celebrated many milestones with the Rimrock and will certainly continue to do so in the future!

Fabulous hotel. It has 3 restaurants, pool and hot tub, spa facilities and shops. The best views of Banff and the mountains from our room. All staff were friendly and polite and couldn't have been more helpful. Great place to stay.

The hotel is nice, and the amenities are good. What makes this hotel however are the views and location; if the hotel were anywhere else I would have been significantly less impressed considering the cost and would expect more as far as amenities and luxuries go.

Good location and bar area was nice. Place is a little tired. If you're expecting the same standard as you would for similar prices outside of the Rockies then you won't get it. Staff were great.
