Awful experience, unprofessional staff, had the impression they cant handle their business, horrible customer service.
I then called switchboard again to ask to be transferred to the complaints department, been kept in hold for 10 min and then told that there is no manager and no answer from the complaints department. The lady said this moo because its Saturday. I did remind her that their working hours were 9 to 5 on Saturday she then took my details for a manager to call me back. I am still waiting for the call and will update afterwards.

Dealing with Right Choice was the worst experience I have ever encounterd at any time with an insurance company. I accepted a quote on line yesterday and paid the fee with credit card. This was 'held' against acceptance by them, contacting me by telephone the same or next day, to authorise payment to them and authorise the insurance policy to me. Ever heard of such a strange system? OK I guess, if it works. But in my case it didn't.
As they had not contacted me and my current car insurance was to expire the following day, I contacted them by phone and email, with some urgency. Then it all really went wrong. I waited 10 mins to get a response from the switchboard, then gave my urgent situation and requested assistance. Te Switch/operator needed to ask for help whilst I held on. She then switched me to another contact, where I held on for 35 minutes!
This was I think, 'Pink Pound Insurance' . I then used my mobile phone and telephoned Right Choice again - got through in 5 minutes, whilst holding on the mainline phone in the other hand, still waiting for a response.The switch/operator answered. I was polite and explained my situation. She cut me off. - nice, Then I received a response on the main line phone. It was a gentleman named Steven. I gave him the status and he apologised. We went on to complete the quote confirmation and payment, but only after going through all the details of self/additional driver and car again! Incredible! I spent over an hour on the telephone, mostly holding on, after having given all details previousley online in 3 minutes. This system will cause problems for RC I'm sure.
Not a good start. Really frustrating, aggrevated by a requirement for urgent insurance cover. Steven, my advice is to use your talents elsewhere, or request the management to sort out the abysmal customer service on offer. Could I recommend this company and go through all this again on renewal next year? You do the maths.

Also when I needed to change details you have to ring up, there is no portal or anything that makes it easier for you. I tried to get quotes for changing my car over after an accident and they said "we haven't got time to check the system, just buy a car and you will have to pay whatever we charge" terrible customer service

The company called me after I used the online service. They say online that the insurance will need to be confirmed verbally. I was called at 3 O clock then they said hang on while I transfer you to an agent .. I was on hold for nearly 40 mins before the agent then picked up. I don't understand why the agent just didn't call me first. I was then on the phone for another half hour. The agent I dealt with was polite and friendly but a tedious service that has never taken as long with any other insurance company.
Overall I'm happy with the coverage but I dread to think what the process would be like and time scale should I actually need to make a claim.

Worst service I have ever received from anyone. I tried to cancel my policy after 1 hour of having because realised I already had insurance. I've had to ring back 5 times about my money and I've been lied to consistently.....and they have just told me after 3 weeks of ringing them that it can take up to another month before I will have my money back. And they will be charging me admin fee anyway, even though a member of there team told me a had to go through with it and another told me it me id be charged nothing.
