Terrible customer service - I have never seen anyw...

Terrible customer service - I have never seen anywhere in the past. Their switchboard staff pick up the phone and hang up on you during their busy period (which is always) to reduce the number of calls going through. It has happened to myself and partner on multiple occasions at different times of the day. Impossible to get anything sorted as a result of this!

I've just renewed with right choice. I won't lie they are quite persistent when it comes to renewals but i suppose it's better than not being reminded at all. That aside, after an exchange of emails and phone calls, the team at right choice have done a brilliant job and I cannot fault them whatsoever. Polite, well mannered and thorough. Exceptional service and managed to find me what I wanted for an acceptable price. Top marks from me

Setup a motorbike policy and insisted it be able to become a multibike policy a short time after so I can add my second bike, when I did phone them to add it I was told it couldn't be added and that was it. Needless to say when renewal came.....bye!!

i get a newer focus tdci, straight up refuse to swap insurance,
yet i can requote with the same RCIB on a comparison site for the focus for 800 pounds. Ridiculous.
clearly spawning random numbers in thier heads. Even informed them the audi was no longer roadworthy and was getting scrapped, still happy to keep it inssured. I swear thats against the law?

Be wary you definitely won't get what it says on the tin!!!! A very very very expensive mistake, they rarely answer the phone, when they do and you get to the important bit you mysteriously get cut off and they don't answer emails, in short don't bother with them.

01/05/2016 a full payment for the price quoted was taken from the account. After not hearing anything from the sales team, I contacted the office on 06/05/2016 to confirm the status of my cover. Why I was not contacted? Why have I been charged for a product I cannot use? As stated on your website I am not insured until someone from the sales team contacts me. I had been unable to use my vehicle for five days, is this normal practise for insurance companies? I answered questions similar to those answered during the online quote so I am surprised to your sales team providing changed responses:

Parking : This was changed from garage to driveway
Date of purchase : changed from 01/05/16 to 01/05/14

Yearly mileage: changed from 5000 per annum to 1000

These changes were made without my input. If it was explained to me the price increase was as a result of changes to the policy, I could have corrected any incorrectly entered details and avoided having an increased premium. When I challenged the new policy price it was explained my policy address was not found on a database search. Not as a result of the points you have raised in the email.

2. Full payment was taken from the account on 01/05/2016 but I did not receive my insurance certificate until 12/05/16 via email. This was so was only sent as a result of me constantly having to call the office to notify the team I had not received anything. As far as I was concerned there was no evidence that I was covered (other than a full payment taken) If I was stopped by the police, I would have no evidence to provide (I did not even know the name of my insurers). Despite me calling the sales team on 6/05/16 why has it taken a further 6 days before I received my insurance cover? When it did eventually come, it was only a temporary cover. Two weeks in to my insurance cover and I am still not covered yet.

I was then asked to provide details to validate my cover, which I provided via email, I then got a reply asking me to provide the same documents again in addition to an explanation as to why there was a gap between my insurance expiring with my previous provider.

At this point my frustration had reached its height and my confidence in the company completely broken. If I am having all this trouble setting up my insurance, I shudder to think how I would be processed if I needed to make a claim.

For this reason I decided to cancel my insurance on the 26/05/16, this was confirmed on the 27/05/16.

In conclusion I found the whole process of dealing with your company extremely unprofessional, unpleasant and unacceptable. Such was my disgust at how I was dealt with, I reached out the FOS. If I had known using this company to insure my vehicle would require so much effort, stress, time and money on the phone I would have avoided at all costs from the onset.

Nice friendly staff. An absolute pain to listen to literally 1.5 to 2 mins of legal stuff before you get put through to a human. Surely it would be better to email this stuff and get a response to verify acceptance. Then customers wouldn't have to listen to it and the poor people in the call centre wouldn't have to read it all out. WIN WIN ?

Been with Right Choice Insurance since April 2017, they were fab up until the change of my vehicle in September 2017. Called them up to change the policy over they made me aware that the price will go up due to the spec which was fine. They took all the details. Reg/Model/Make. Took another Deposit and set it up for me. Come March 2018, i get pulled over by the Police to say I've got no insurance, checked on MID for reassurance it come up as no insurance.
Provided the police with documamtation which had description of my new car but reg of my old car. What a mess up they made. Been driving 5 months and 28 days without insurance. Due to the companys error.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR DETAILS WITH THE COMPANY AS THEY DONT!

This is not a one off either, same thing happened last week! All i was trying to do is notify them that im traveling abroad and ive spent 2 and a half hours trying to do so and got absolutly no where!!! Useless, would never recomend taking out a policy with them. One star doesnt even cut it!

Have cancelled my policy because no verbal verification received despite me trying multiple times. The line is jammed up and I've waited over 40 minutes each time I've tried.

Eventually I receive an SMS advising policy cancelled. I finally manage to speak with someone who says I can still drive home from work as I'm covered until 11pm that night and will receive an urgent response callback to rectify this situation.

Callback never received so now I find myself without insurance depsute paying for it, on a weekend when I need to drive to important plans unable to speak with anyone at right choice to sort it out.

The weirdest thing is that I'm not even switching from another provider. I am simply renewing an existing policy with them. Shambles

I dealt with a lady named Tendai today, Although there was a mix up about the cheapest premium guarantee bullet pointed in the terms and conditions under Why Buy from us? section (after you fill in all your details for the annual and monthly quotes to be generated on their website), she ended up answering my questions promptly and attentively. Overall, it was a nice quick service and I hope I can say the same by the end of the insurance contract.

Wouldn't recommend reason being took car insurance out Dec 2019 spoke with a woman named Kirsty going through the insurance mentioned 2 mths of 2yrs driving so rounded it of to 2 yrs , put my deposit down 226.00 then 108.00 every month which i was fine with, 8th jan i phoned wondered why they hadn't taken money out of bank was due 10th jan but than was informed they had to make amendment to my insurance for haven't been driving 2yrs so they said charging amendment of 99.00 pound than still taking the 108.00 than Feb 160.00. Couldn't believe this unbelievable i mentioned told to Kirsty the lady took my details when asked i have 2mths away of 2yrs of driving , when i said about cancelling knowing only 4 weeks with them and amending no communication what so ever no email , text nothing, told me I'd have to pay over 800 pound to cancell absolutely ridiculous, now charging 30pound for not even a full day late payment. They say one things then another i could name all the people i HAVE spoken too from right choice but best i don't, MOST DEFINITELY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND RIGHT CHOICE CAR INSURANCE.

As i can see from other reviews some people are really not happy.
I purchased car insurance today, i found the service excellent, not a single problem.
I was quoted and bought the best policy on offer with extreamly helpful and compitant assistance from RCIB, i've even earned a little discount which in todays day and age is always a bonus.
Once completing my online application i was phoned by RCIB within 5 mins, the call was not long winded and the guy on the other end of the phone (Billy) did his job excellent.
No dramas, quick and easy.
Thanks RCIB for making this a smooth transaction.
For what maybe a relativley small company i have received 1st class service.

We are all having the same experience with this 'company'. BEST THING TO DO IS EMAIL Compare the Market and Citizens Advice Bureau and get this company taken off of all of these Insurance websites.

If I could give a no star review, believe me I would. I took a policy out with this company only to find out that they cancelled my policy only after a week of paying my deposit. No explanation, nothing. In the email they cancelled my policy, they left a contact number only to be put on hold for three hours on four different occasions. They never answer the phone number that they provide you.

I managed to call a different number that was on their Google page and spoke to a member of their 'Sales' team but of course - Louise-Rose didn't know a single thing about my policy or could event explain to me what the issue was. As a result, she said to me that she would push for a call back WHICH NEVER CAME

I emailed Compare the Market and threatened legal action, which I am making the correct steps for. Right Choice of course after this had to give me a call back to tell me that they're not cancelling my policy (BECAUSE I CONTACTED COMPARE THE MARKET) even though they have repetitively sent me numerous documentation, saying that they have cancelled my policy etc.

In terms of deposits, I am aware that they don't give back deposits due to the fact that "they don't have the money" which is an impossible incorrect statement to make as an insurance company. Contact your banks and explain the situation and the banks also have the legal power to pursuit this case and also have the capacity to chase your deposits against this company.

In terms of debt collectors they only threaten this when they are unable to take a "cancellation fee" from your account. If this is pursued correctly and professionally, we all have nothing to worry about. Do not allow this company to rob us all of our hard earned money.

This is a matter which is being dealt with professionally from my side and I suggest we all pursuit professional action.

I tried insure my partners car through Right Choice and their service levels are completely DISGUSTING!!! 1 star is not poor enough for this company, they should not be allowed to trade!! We spent over 3 hours on hold to this company within 24 hours... they have promised a call back at 8am this morning and it is now 3pm and guess what... no call!!! They are holding our deposit money although no insurance has been confirmed - we are 100% cancelling this and requesting a refund... which they said would take 10-15 working days... RIDICULOUS. They have said that I haven't sent a NCD from my previous insurance, so I have sent them the email 3 times of which my previous insurance says it is valid
proof and my previous insurance have said they will accept them to call to verify if they wish, but nothing more is required to be sent.
RCIB have now rejected this, wanting to add more premium to my current payment because it doesn't have a official company letter head, even though my previous insurance says that is their official header.
I have then asked my previous insurance to send me a letter which takes up to 7-10 days. RCIB have come back and said we need it in 6 days otherwise premium will be added.

I have now decided to take this up with the financial regulation which their first requirement is to make an official complaint, but wait, there Click Here on RCIB website for complaints doesn't work, and if you call they say you can't make a complaint for that.

And I've just found out that they are actual brokers for my previous car insurance, you couldn't write this stuff!!!

Feel incredibly scammed at the moment by this provider. Have only had this insurance for 10 days, but have received a cancellation notice on our car insurance policy. Have been receiving conflicting responses as to whether the policy has actually been cancelled or not from employees, but no reason to why. The only communication I have had is through email from them saying that they are not the right person to deal with the matter. Have been trying to get through to someone on the phone for over 3 days and have been told someone would give me a call back to resolve the issue which I have not received. I now feel as though I am out of pocket with no car insurance cover and feel unable to drive. Never have dealt with anything like this before when taking out a car insurance in my 35 years of driving.
