A very good place to Visit... It is a great institution, loved it... Hospitality of the faculty is good... U can play various games.. Hostel roons are good... But Water is not good... I was in scientists hostel and stayed 3 days... Don't go outside in night... The area surrounded by bad people... Those who are interested in research purpose they should go there.. Go green.. Save green...
The institute is one of its kind in being the forerunner for conducting research on forestry and other disciplines related to it, with the likes of Ecology and Climate Change,Forest protection, Soil science and soil microbiology,Agroforestry,Shifting cultivation and Genetic tree breeding. Various national coordinted projects are going on in this institute. In addition to research, extension towards educating people about forestry and its allied sciences is a regular activity here. The ambience is great too courtesy of the floral biodiversity that brings down the temperature in this place.
