Residence Inn by Marriott New Rochelle, NY Review

The rooms are very nice and housekeeping was great under the circumstances (Covid). The grab and go breakfast service was poor though. It was never replenished during the hours offered. Since we had to make our own coffee more should have been available in the room.

Great location, near train and restaurants. Latoya at the from desk is a real MVP, she was able to check me in quickly even though they just had a power surge. Would stay there again.

You have to pay for parking and if I had to choose between this location and the Bronx I would go to the Bronx location which is newer and better.

I reserved a King suite through Priceline at $286, for one night. The reason for booking this particular hotel was the accessibility to New Roc city for my daughter 14th Birthday. I booked a King suite because it has a full kitchen and enough space for myself and 3 of her friends. I am a mother that prefers cooking for a family oppose to buying outside foods. That is why I needed a kitchen. I was not informed until an hour and a half before checkin that my reservation had been cancelled. This put ruined the plans for my daughter and 14th birthday. They offered us a ROOM not a suite at the Radisson with one king bed ( for 4 people). They offered a ROOM, king bed for 4 people at the Residence Inn in Yonkers. They also could not accommodate us. Not even connecting King rooms. We ended up at the Courtyard Marriott in Yonkers away from everything fun for kids. They only covered one room in which could not accommodate us and I had to pay for another. Yet kids aren t suppose to be in the rooms by themselves right? If this is something that happens often, it needs to be in noted in the disclaimer upon making a reservation. My daughter was VERY disappointed she has to settle for a small, crowded pool and a parking lot filled with older adults.

The rooms are nice and spacey, even the single room package. The breakfast is alright, and the workers are nice too. The only thing that made me give one star less was the fact that it is very expensive, and that a fire alarm went off for no reason.

Central location surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Great views.

I love my room. I got a one bedroom suite with a refridgerator and stove. If I get up early my girlfriend can stay in bed and I close the door. The is also a microwave oven
There are dishes and plates. Kelly at the front desk was lovely.

One elevator was broken during our stay which made getting around time consuming. Room took a while to get ready (but they were busy). Staff were average. Location is great. Rooms are basic, but clean.

The rooms and the people at the front desk were above average. Kelly the manager was awesome! However, security was rather poor, my car got broken into along with few others and nothing was done. My car was in their garage. Supposedly, they have cameras that rotate but nothing came of it. Sounded like they were too lazy to check the footage.

Ok stay - neighbor hood is a bit gritty - Hotel has Zero street appeal - Lobby is a bit tired - pool closes too early (7PM) - staff friendly and helpful - rooms clean a tiny bit "worn at the edges."

I am looking for a hotel closer to Fordham U. , but would stay here again if need be.

Tip - Go to Dubrovnik Croation restaurant .

Lovely place, nice location, applebees is close, and a Texas Roadhouse.

Have stayed here for months at a time for work and love the staff. The are friendly and assist you in any way you need.

Everything was as expected. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was great!

Quite comfortable. The hotel is in the midst of all sorts of points of interest, including restaurants and a movie theater. Breakfast is on the top floor so you can watch the water while you eat. Very nice!

The hotel has a wonderful family decor. The buffet breakfast is great. Whatever you want for breakfast is available. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

My kids love the feel of being in a hotel that looks like an apartment!

Me and my family love Marriott hotels. We have been to a bunch, they give you good service and when something s wrong they fix it right away. In the Rochelle Marriott we all ways take the suites so that's basically all I can tell you about room wise (disclaimer). The suite is very nice and spashus with a well sized kichen, a very big living room, one bathroom, two beds (ones a pull out couch,ones a regular bed in a bedroom), and three closets.

Everything was great, except I was attacked by an unleashed dog, they haven't offered me anything, except to tell me they will enforce there policy for customers to have dogs leashed, if I was bitten we would be having a different conversation, it marred my entire weekend..

Clean close to restaurants and stores loved it will stay there again

This is one of my fav spots to stay when I come to NY for business. It is convenient to I95 to get into the city or up to CT. There is a parking garage so the weather stays off of you and there is plenty of eateries near by. Very near by. This location does not have the Manager's Receptions like some RI do, but it has a great breakfast setup. The staff here is always friendly and courteous. I've never had a stay where my needs weren't met or any issue dealt with. It's been a while since I was there, but I believe Gold & Platinum members get free parking.

The kitchenette is extremely convenient on longer stays and has most everything you will need to cook in the room. The full size refrigerator is awesome for the longer stays too.

I will say that the property is looking a little dated, but it is because it is always busy. The staff does a great job of addressing any issues. The building is secure and parking lot has security.

Location is wonderful with New Roc City and tons of restaurants near by there is always something to do. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is hearty and diversified if you are a healthy eater or just want a traditional bacon and eggs they have it all. The rooms are are always clean and spacious. When we spend time in the city this is our go to spot. It's in a nice location and always priced right.

Great location, close to train and a shopping center. Suites were nice and spacious.

Conference rooms were the right size for small conference presentations. Parking nearby too!

Very nice hotel. Good location, lots to do in New Roc City. This is my third stay in three years. This stay wasn't quite a nice as the others. Problems with the heating/air units and plumming. They also changed the furnishings - the one couch (loveseat) in the livingroom area is not very comfortable nor long enough for three people. The chairs were removed which only left that ONE couch. So much for the comforts of home.

My experience With Marriot Was delightful, clean hotel and a Clean Room I have no complaint. I appreciate The respect and Well service I get at this Hotel very friendly, I would definitely recommend this Hotel to everyone!

My family was displaced due to a fire and so the insurance put us up here for about a month. Let me tell you, if you are coming to New Rochelle, look no further. The rooms are clean, the service is fantastic, the pool is awesome. You get what you pay for. It's a little pricy but definitely well worth what you are paying for.

I came into town for a quick business trip. I was upgraded to a one room floor with a beautiful view. I just started an account with Marriott. Now I cannot wait to return! Excellent customer service!

Before I proceed to deliver the pure and unadulterated truth, allow me to offer a few compliments. This hotels coffee cake is ok. Applebees is across the street and their pretty nice.. ah that's it. Those are seriously the only positive things I could think of. This hotel should be ashamed. This is so far from being a 4 star hotel let alone 2 star. First, The staff is unfriendly and horrible. If you call and ask for clean sheets they respond rudely like it's or they just ignore your requests. It's one thing to have bad, but its worst when the workers are cold hearted. The breakfast is egregiously horrid. The only items that are ok are the potatoes, coffee cakes, nutella packets, and yogurts. Theres always this one woman who works for the staff who stands around the corner staring like a hawk as if she did something to the food. FYI don't eat their food unless you're really hungry and if you do DO NOT eat the waffles, eggs, meats, stale pastries (except coffee cake). I did not feel safe at this hotel either. Literally, anyone off the street could come in and eat breakfast SMH Also, their furniture is so outdated it's ridiculous. We're in 2019! Not 2003. Please update. Ya curtains got holes in it and ya couch stink. In conclusion, if you're in New Rochelle, leave, but if you're stuck there don't go to this hotel. It's bad. 1/5

Update: Hotel reached out and offered an apology as well as compensation for our issue. Improving my rating for following up and trying to make things right.

Poor service. Manager disappeared for over half an hour while he was being called to correct a bill. Made myself and a coworker late for meetings with his lack of attention to customer service. Can not recommend with current management.

I love the staff. Service is good, but the 6:30 a.m breakfast is put out late more often than not. If you have to be somewhere early you can grab a bagel, fruit and yogurt with your choice of tea or coffee tho.

My stay at this hotel was lovely and beautiful. The room was very clean as well as the kitchen it had and the bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The location is prime cause you have so much around you to do. (If it weren't for Covid of course) lots of restaurants to choose from and everything is right outside the hotel door...

Charged my card twice. Couldn't check in til 8pm. Terrible management and would never stay here again.

They have Nutella for breakfast and you are steps away from a great movie theater.

The room and the living room was a decent size. I also had a full kitchen.

The room was very clean and organized. Front desk staff need to be a little more friendly.

Desk people we're courteous and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was good, they serve salsa at breakfast which is essential. My only issues are the confusing parking situation (parking is split between lower level and 2nd floor of garage) and the breakfast buffet seemed understaffed with no one replacing plates and refilling food.

The lobby is very nice. I had a meeting here. This hotel is very close to the city. It is accessible to everybody. They have elevators and stairs. Very classy.

The Marriott was very clean and the staff very professional. Would stay there anytime loved it.

Loved the proximity to New Roc City and the movies and Barnes and Noble
