Renewal by Andersen of Seattle Review

I dont understand your policy about BOTH homeowners having to be present. Couldn't even schedule a consultation because of that policy. I just have closet windows to replace and both of us do not need to spend 60 - 90 minutes with your salesperson. Try to be more accomodating and respectful of our time, know that one homeowner can represent the interests of both, and as adults we can communicate amongst ourselves without you being present.

While the scheduling gal reiterated that they only want to send out a salesperson once (as rationale for both homeowners to be present), please know that some sales do take multiple consultations and aren't as easy as showing up once. You didn't miss a huge opportunitity with me by any means, this is a small job. But going forward, don't lock yourself out of submitting competitive bid by inconviniencing the customer.

Had a large window and two patio doors replaced, the Tri-City team (Jeremiah and Jeff) done an excellent job. Not only the replacement work but the cleanup afterwards was great. Cannot thank them enough.

Kraig and Chris completed the installation of our windows and a 3 panel sliding door. This was more like a remodel, in that new headers went into two walls to enable large custom picture windows to replace existing posts and headers. One window is really huge. Kraig's skill and attention to detail is exceptional. Both men took great pride in their work. Whereas we understood and expected that it would be unlikely that our old paneling would be spared, Kraig worked a jigsaw puzzle with the scrap material and left us with an amazing solution. Above and beyond our expectations!

The product is fantastic. The design is wonderful. Our home's value and appeal is greatly improved. Our only concern is that our sales person/designer did not make it clear to us that the interior finish on some of the windows as she ordered them would not match -- and all of the work was done in one great room. So some of windows were in wood frames and some of the windows were fibrex on the interior. They could have been ordered to all be wood on the interior. Even the exterior of the wood framed windows does not have the same framed appearance as the all fibrex windows. We had to decide whether to ask for replacements to match the wood interiors. We were given no promise by any representative at any level regarding such a resolution. It was a gut wrenching few days -- we finally decided that staining the wood windows to match existing trim on the fibrex windows would allow a blending that would work out ok. This was a detail that should not have gone without review. Our sales woman's reply to our alarm was simply, "I would do it this way in my own home." We would never have done it this way if the mix of interior finish had been clearly pointed out. The two of us remember her saying, "your interior finish will be wood".

We still give Renewal by Andersen 5 stars because we are delighted to have our view blown open, loved our installation team, and want people to know this is a good product.

Renewal by Anderson did an outstanding job of upgrading/replacing 12 of our 50 year old Anderson windows. Jesse Castillo and Rafael Villasenor arrived early, stayed late, and did a great job of keeping us informed of their progress and answering any questions they had. They were skilled, had high standards, and worked hard on making everything just as we'd asked for. It was not an easy job - working on a 70s era house never is - but they persevered through it all. Highly recommend this company and in particular these two individuals.

Overall, good work but very expensive. We had 10 windows and two sliding doors replaced. Most work fine, but one of the sliders has never worked as it should. It is very tough to open. We were to led that the seal on the bottom would wear down and it would get better. It has gotten worse. For that kind of investment it should operate as advertised. I would not hire them again.

Love our new windows! Premium price for premium windows and warranty. Install crew of Brandon R (project leader), Jeff G, Tyler P, John C, Cody G, and Pete S professionally installed 7 large windows (including two monster size heavy ones) in our 3 story house over two days. They were so courteous, skilled, and efficient, that it spoke so well of the company, that Renewal by Andersen is a quality company. They installed the windows while protecting our floors and furniture. Can't say enough good things about those guys! Great job!!!

This review is for work completed by Chris and Dan at Renewal by Andersen. Chris and Dan communicated with us about their arrival time and arrived at the time expected. Upon arrival, they spoke with us to confirm the work, put down carpet and furniture coverings, and got to work. Upon completion, they went through the windows with me to make sure I was satisfied, and they showed me how the new windows function. They left the house and yard clean. We love the look and function of the new windows.

My sincere thanks and appreciation to all of the staff with Renewal by Andersen! They were able to get to installation about two weeks before schedule and we are most thankful for that. The windows are beautiful and the house is already warmer even though the temps are in the 20's.
Our crew was two crews! Michael and Brian arrived first to prep the area. They were so very polite and considerate. They covered everything with me and then got ready to replace four windows as quickly as possible because the temperatures were only getting up to 30 sometime that afternoon!
Once the second team of Ryan, Cody, and Thomas arrived things really started happening and within three hours the job was done and we were watching them drive away...no mess, no fuss, beautiful windows and trim work all done, sealed up tight and warm! What an amazing experience!

I have to add one thing...This house was for sale 3 times and over a period of 15 years before I bought it. Since I never liked the look of the house, I never even went to see it while it was on the market til the third time I saw it was available, but when I did I fell in love with the property and the view and the sunsets and just tolerated the outside of the house. Last night as I approached my house with the new windows installed I was overwhelmed as I realized that for the first time in almost 14 years I LOVE the look of my home from the outside now! What a difference the windows have made!

Just completed the replacment of windows in my home.
My experience started with Sarah Galante as our sales rep. She was very personable and worked with us. She was out three times for each phase of our project. She. Remembered us and made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
The first two installs were done very professionally along with tha last one. Cody G and Leo H were a great team and very professional. They did a great install and an equally good cleanup. We did not need to clean up afterwards either. What a pleasant experience.

We are looking forward to saving money in the winter and staying cool in the 90 degree plus summer heat that we just experienced.

Although the doors were excellent quality the instillation was extremely poor. I have reached out numerous times to get them to come back and correct the doors and they have not responded. Very frustrating. So much for the promise that they would guarantee their work.

I experienced the field sales leads, sales, measurement verification and a 3-man installation crew. Paul C., Lyle G and Justin K were prompt, complete and done in one day. Because I am a new owner I was able to see the inside wall construction and answer nagging questions regarding my weather wall permeability.

The product is top notch and I intend to complete the 2nd half of the house in 2018.

We are totally satisfied with our choice of Renewal by Andersen. Every part of the process was smooth: from ordering to scheduling and installation. All of the staff kept us informed, and promptly addressed any concerns we had. The installation crew was thoughtful and careful. The supervisor, Jon C., kept us informed of progress throughout the day, and the rest of the guys, Mark S., Tyler C., and Hans D were detail oriented and exceptionally considerate of existing items. They cleaned up so thoroughly that when they left, you couldn t tell they had been there. The windows themselves are outstanding. Our house is near a busy street in the city, and the new windows have cut down on outside noise so much that we keep thinking it must be Sunday. The smooth operation of the casement windows we chose is a delight, especially compared to the ones we replaced. We would definitely recommend Renewal by Andersen to our friends, and already have.

We have had an excellent experience with Renewal by Anderson. Jason Donah was our design consultant, Randy Sprayberry was our measure technician, and Steven Geddes & Rafael were our installers. In addition to the characteristics listed above they were all friendly, attentive, skillful, energetic, and helpful. Steven did a little paint touch up for us while he was up on a ladder outside a window as a favor to us. If we decide to have more windows replaced in the future we will go with Renewal by Anderson.

Zach C and Esteban C made the perfect team. They worked well together and were very respectful of my property. They managed to get the job done in 5 days; and 2 of the days were almost 90 degrees. I love my new windows. Zach took the time to do a walk thru at the end and make sure I knew how to put in and remove the screens and operate all the windows. I highly recommend Renewal by Andersen and Zach and Esteban.

I had a sliding door installed yesterday - Thanks Carl & Mark! They showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Super nice guys and explained all my options and extra features to me, did a great job matching the trim with my existing windows. Best site clean up as well. Love my new door!

We had 8 windows replaced, well 7 so far, the 8th was damaged in shipping and will be installed soon. The windows that are installed, were installed well and are the quality I would expect from a premium window company. The sound difference is incredible. We went from 1970 single pane to these. Everyone from renewal was great. Looking forward to getting our other 8 windows done with them soon.

Colin and Chris J did an above and beyond job on our install. Our house looks so much better and feels a magnitude warmer. The cap and crown work they did is flawless, and they even stopped what they were doing to answer my questions as they worked. They found matching cedar planks siding to replace the ones on our house that were bad from neglect and let me know where they got them so I could get more in the future. Both guys were great to be around, I'd be very happy to have them on our next order when we decide what we are doing with the rest of our house. The salesmen Josh was great too, and he spent a long time with us to make sure we got what we wanted. We didn't even have that large of an order. 2 sliders and 3 windows. I would, and will recommend these guys to anyone i know getting windows and sliders.

Just had 14 windows replaced. Gerardo and Tyler were awesome. They went above and beyond in getting the windows in and making sure all the details were done correctly. And they stayed late to make sure everything was cleaned up before they left.

Cold in the winter? Hot in the summer? We think new windows will help. We live in an old house and lots of drafts. Investing in new windows was a major expense but we are so glad we did. Bryant and Tylar where the best pair of workers. They replaced 7 windows in two days. Some of them had security bars but they managed to take the bars off, replace the windows, and replace the bars. All the windows they replaced look great. And they were on time and cleaned up. You can't even tell we had construction work done except that we have beautiful windows and our house if much warmer.

The sales presentation was informative, communications were frequent, the quality of the installation was excellent. Brock and Dave did a great job.

The two installers on my project completed an absolutely amazing job! My skywall window decided to start leaking after 31 years so a replacement was in order. Knowing that I wanted the skywall replaced with the largest window possible is now a reality! The window looks Great! I am completely pleased with Vantha and Eleazar's work ethics and the Outstanding Craftsmanship and Quality of work!! Yes, I would have them work on my house again if needed. I also want to mention Ryan from Sales as he worked with us to get the exact replacement product that we wanted. Our Project Manager Betty was very easy and pleasing to work with and did a Great job coordinating the install.

Very frustrating. I am replacing two matching windows because one is rotted. They replaced the un-rotted one and then said the rotted one (the one that was the reason for the project) needed a contractor to fix. I showed both people who came to bid the job the rot and they said it was no problem. Now I m stuck with a rotted window; a new expensive window that didn t need to be replaced, and a project manager who keeps having to ask someone else about what happens next because she doesn t have the authority. Aargh.

Brandon R and Jeff G were prompt, knowledgeable, and skilled craftsmen. I enjoy a job well done and they certainly provided finishing touches in our window installation which will be appreciated for a long time.

This is our first major project on our home and we are so extremely pleased with the final result!!! We had two windows on the south side of our house with broken seals and dry rot in the surrounding frames and sills. We were worried that the damage would continue to spread so we made the windows our highest home-project priority. Waylin and David are exceptional installers and carpenters. While keeping me informed of the inevitable issues that come up in any reconstruction they took full charge of the project from set up to finish work. They were well-organized and had all of the tools and extra materials they required at hand. They were prepared for all situations, heavy rain, wasps, extensive rot and design revisions and handled all seamlessly, total pros!. Our new window and french door are so beautiful, sturdy and well-crafted and our south wall, because of the reconstruction of the framing and removal of dry rot is now structurally sound which is reassuring. It was an expensive project but we wanted it done right and it turned out even better than we imagined and well worth it. When they were finished they left everything clean, finished and put away. Without hesitation we would work with Renewal by Anderson and their awesome installers Waylin and David again!!!

We had 12 windows and patio doors replaced and couldn t be happier with the experience. All of the people we dealt with were caring and professional, from the salesman to the project manager to the installers. Our installers, Chad A and Bobby R were meticulous in the work they did, which wasn t easy as our house is stucco. It was hard, dirty work but they were always cheerful and careful. The stucco guys we used (unrelated to RbA) said they hadn t seen better work that they hadn t done themselves. The windows look great and the patio doors fit better than our old ones and are really easy to use. Thanks, everyone!

Hi! We had Waylin and David M come to our house today to install 9 windows in our 1940's house. Our old windows were aluminum, so they were very drafty, as well as wet and moldy, so I was very excited to get new ones. I have waited for a long time to get new windows, and I am not disappointed at all! Waylin called to give me a heads up before they showed up. That was unexpected, but very considerate of him. When they arrived, Waylin explained exactly what they were going to do and asked if I had any questions or concerns before they got started. He treated my home with he care and respect you would expect to see someone give their own home. Waylin ran into some unexpected problems, but solved them and made sure everything turned out perfect. When I say perfect, I mean I couldn't have asked for more from these two gentlemen. The attention to detail that Waylin gave our home was way more than I expected and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. The windows look awesome and I think it was well worth the money. If you buy windows from Renewal by Andersen, ask for Waylin. He is a one of a kind craftsman of the highest quality.

Sales: When arranging an appointment to meet with the RBA sales rep, I was told my spouse had to be there. I didn't like this, it's very inconvenient to arrange with how busy everyone is these days, but we made it work. The sales rep was friendly, knowledgeable, answered questions (and if he didn't know the answer, he admitted it and called his office to clarify any points which I value above trying to brazen it out). There was a bit of that 'but wait, there's MORE discounts if you buy extra windows' feeling going on during the pitch, but that was not unexpected. Overall, nothing against the sales rep, just wished the process had been speedier and a little less infomercial-esque.

Windows: We had 4 new windows installed. They're gorgeous. They work. 2 days after installation I have no complaints (and hopefully won't have any 2 or 20 years from now). They repaired the rot surrounding one window.

Installation: Here is were RBA really shines! The crew was polite, friendly, punctual, clean (my living room floor was cleaner after they left then it was before they arrived), willing to answer any questions I had and able to do so while continuing to work so progress wasn't even slowed down. Ryan M took the time during the walk through to test all the windows, found the latch on one was a) broken (he rebuilt it with parts from the truck since he didn't have another white one) and then b) the same latch wasn't centered properly, so he took the latch apart again, drilled new holes, and centered the latch properly. The entire crew (Ryan, Brock, Billy and a trainee whose name I did not catch) stayed late to finish the job up in one day rather than two.

Great company. Installers efficient and knowledgeable. A pleasure to have around.

The Renewal by Anderson windows we had installed are a wonderful addition to the home. They've reduced noise pollution and added an updated quality to the home while maintaining the same appearance and charm. Our installers, Bruce T and Larry T were an exceptional team. Friendly, courteous, and hard working! They, as well as the windows, come highly recommended.

We replaced 5 windows upstairs. Ryan, Darren, and John were very professional. They were on time for the install, took care to ensure that our house was protected from any dirt or debris during install. Gave excellent instructions on use of windows after install. During inspection Ryan found minor issue and went out of his way to fix it. Excellent crew, service and windows. We'll definitely use them for our next phase.

We just had 18 windows replaced by "Renewal by Anderson" and I don't think we could be more pleased. Apart from their proving a high quality product, we were most impressed by the service provided by the young men doing our installation. Justin and Anthony were respectful of our property, our time, and our privacy. They worked tirelessly to get the job done on time, all the while being courteous, informative, and attentive.

We had 23 windows installed. One was a small bay window. One was converting a double door into a window. 8 were trapezoid windows set above normal ceiling height. We also had 3 sliding doors installed. The group of installers, Jon C., Mark S., Paul C., and Oliver were beyond professional and hardworking, and all with extremely high work ethics. All were highly skilled with excellent knowledge of the products. They worked magic on our home that is ~48 years old, having to improvise on many windows and doors to get them all to fit properly and have them look fantastic. In fact the installer's joints and caulking is even better than the factory joints and caulking. We can highly recommend these installers.

I had all the windows in my 1950 vintage house replaced, ten of them with the exception of those involving the front and back doors, they will get done later by Renewal by Andersen. All the shades were also of the same vintage and were also replaced. I had gone through the process of talking with the Renewal by Andersen s very knowledgeable design consultant Taylor Smith, set up the appointment, yes there were a few seconds of should I do this? but I knew I would regret not having the windows updated. There were some events that arose creating a conflict with the first dates Dawn Nielsen, the Renewal by Andersen Project Manager, and I had set and she was wonderful in moving the install date only two weeks away. Dawn called later to let me know there was an opening in the Renewal by Andersen install schedule which was very nice of her. I declined due to scheduled events but it made me think the entire Renewal by Andersen team is truly looking out for my best interests.

Their return the next morning was 06:45 to get set up to start at 07:00, and when they were ready they asked me where I wanted them to start. In the master bedroom, which can enable chasing the shade around the house during the day. July is hot and chasing the shade is important. The ancient steel framed windows came out. Every time a window was removed I was surprised to see what was out there. The original windows were so riddled with small panes and bracing and in combination with the storm windows that had been added in the 1960's or 70's the windows functioned as heat sinks and let light in but visually, not much there. The windows all had an old, white, opaque film on the panes inside and out. Then the Renewal by Andersen windows went into the opening. Astonished, amazed, and gleefully joyous, this visual treat was what I had been missing since I moved in to this old house. When the windows in the master bedroom were installed Jeremiah and Jeff were on to the other windows and as Jeremiah left the room he said I would notice that it will be quieter too. I hadn t thought about that. And as if the universe knew, a large truck rolled by at 40 MPH and it was significantly quieter. A huge grin grew on my face and I felt like a kid in a candy store with a thousand dollars! I followed Jeremiah and Jeff around the house and after they were complete installing the windows I would hang the hardware for the shades and when the caulking had set enough, I simply clicked the shades in place. Perfect! Every single window had the same kind of realizations as the old was replaced by the new Renewal by Andersen windows. The bedroom in the southwest corner has always been the sauna even with the old windows closed, shades drawn it was extremely hot. It was so effective I used it as a heat source in the winter months, it worked well. After the new windows were in, I noticed immediately a reduction in the temperature. The astonished, amazed, and gleefully joyous feelings I was having were coming in waves with each new window replaced.

In the next 24 hours I have come to appreciate the ability of these windows to repel heat even more. The second night at about 9:30 pm I thought I would open the windows to get the gentle breeze flowing to reduce the temperature inside as I usually did. When I opened the first window I felt the heat pour in from outside, it was actually significantly cooler inside than outside without having run the air conditioning at all during the day. Again, I was extremely impressed and that astonished, amazed, and gleefully joyous sensation returned with a big smile. Thank you everyone from Renewal by Andersen that helped in my project and thank you Renewal by Andersen for having such an incredible product. The next house I have built will have Andersen windows.

It has now been a month since installation and I am so impressed with the Anderson windows as time goes on Without using the air conditioning the house stays 20 degrees cooler than outside.

We replaced all of our windows and our slider. The windows and the door are outstanding products. The people that we worked with were terrific. Vince C and Jesus M were our installers. They were so nice, knowledgeable, and did a professional job. They cleaned up completely after they were finished, and they showed us how to operate all of the windows, the slider, and all of the screens. We couldn't be more pleased with the results they gave us.

From sales through tech measurement and installation, the acquisition of our new doors has been a high quality experience. We built our own home in Alaska almost 50 years ago. It was no work of art.
