Never had a meal that there wasn't an issue somewhere. Food either not good or staff was short staffed. Some staff here are real smart alecs

Good food...nice setting. Only thing...they were out of baked potatoes..on a Sunday afternoon. We'll try again.
Good food, good service and the landscaping was beautiful.
Great breakfast experience! Our server, Liz, is excellent. Her skill and experience are obvious and she is personable and pleasant. Very nice way to start the day!
What a great out-of-the way place! Rio Grande is T I N Y! Surprised when we pulled off of US35 that it was big enough to even have a restaurant. Much to our surprise, the restaurant was clean and well-lit. You would've thought our waitress knew us for years and treated us like we were family. I wish we had a Bob Evans in our town!
Food and service have been less than desirable the last few times I've gotten food there. Sad. There was a time this location served the best food, but not now. Friends of mine say the same thing. I doubt I'll return, unless I hear their food and service improve a LOT!!!!!!
Had the bacon and cinnamon pancakes really really
Partners meatloaf was cold so was returned. Replaced w turkey but was way too hot to eat. Manager was involved but didn't comp meal. Disappointing as Bob Evans usually has very good service and good food
Server was the best ever. Great with my two kids and the food was great.
This Bob Evans had very good food when it was made properly. The service however was terrible. when we sat down we were seated with four children and two adults they gave us two coloring pages but no crayons, and we were seated at a table with no napkins and no silverware. When our food arrived we still had no silverware and had to ask for it. Half of our order was missing and one of us ordered eggs benedict that came as a biscuit with two fried eggs on top of it and nothing else. When we questioned the eggs benedict they brought us a gravy boat full of cold hollandaise sauce. At that point we asked to have it remade properly. Once it was remade properly the eggs benedict was delicious. all in all we were very excited when we came across the Bob Evans original restaurant but we were sadly disappointed with the service we received.
Building could have been cleaner and needs up dated. Food was fine.
Farmstead location in Rio Grande, site of original Bob Evans food stand. Good food, pleasant views.
Food was cold, Dirty bathrooms, no toilet paper on the spool, totally bad experience, food was not like back in the day. Overall bad service. Not sure who bought bob evans original restaurant but definitely needs improvement.
The food was ok. Ordered scrambled eggs soft, they couldn't have been any harder! My main issue though was today is Memorial Day and I am here at 8:30am and the flag is full staff! I mentioned the fact and the hostess
was unaware. I asked her to let the manager know That the Flag should be half last until noon.
When I left I asked the hostess if she had spoke to the manager and she stated she had and they were trying to determine what they were going to do!
I am still here in the parking lot and nothing has changed.
Honor those who have giving all!
Down on the farm! Literally. My son and I enjoyed our stop. He couldn't wait all week to go there after we drove by on one of our trips around the area.
Love Bob Evans.. Breakfasts aren't quite as good as Cracker Barrel but they are a close 2nd.
Ordered the Farmboy sandwich and they served it without the side of french fries. Got up and got a menu and checked; the fries were to be included. The waitress nor manager never apologized nor even asked how the food was or anything. The waitress sucked.
As always, Bob Evans is the epitome of good old-fashioned food. A great place with friends or alone.
Clean restaurant, good friendly service. Breakfast food was very sub-par, though.
It was excellent! We dont have Bob Evans any more in Ft Wayne In. We miss it.
Always enjoy Bob Evans Farm Festival. Went there with my mom and dad when I was younger. Took my kids back then, took my grandkids today.
Bob Evans at Rio Grande isn't worth one star. Will never go there again.
Great restaurant but the Bob Evans Farm grounds was nothing, except for the house/museum.
Stopped in here today as we do every year for the past 10 years. I was So disappointed to get a re-heated burger patty on my bacon cheeseburger. The stale taste was so gross. Such a shame for a business of this degree to cut such a shameless corner.
Hadn't eaten there in a while. Corporate needs to get it together. I was actually surprised that they had everything I ordered. The restaurant is clean and the server was very attentive.
Great place to visit and tour the original homestead.
The staff was very friendly and made you feel at home. The restaurant was very clean and the food was really good.
So, This is a Bob Evans, built on the bones of the original Sausage farm. Its a good place to eat, but nothing more than a standard Bob Evans. Decent service and quick food. Good place to get a meal and then explore the many many acres of farm.
The restaurant at the Homestead! Had the Countrh Biscuug Breakfast Eggs Over Easy instead of the Creamy Country Gravy which should only be used on the Chicken Fried Steak I would like Sausage Gravy please do not forget the Crumbles or shredded cheese Home Fries not Hash Browns. I will need Tabasco Sauce with that.
On the evening of June, 5, 2015, I ordered the grilled chicken dinner. The baked potato was overcooked and I had to ask the manager on duty for another, which was some better; the broccoli had been warmed in a microwave and tips were brown; the chicken breast was half the size of what is shown on the menu's picture. This was the worst meal I have ever had at a Bob Evans and to think it is the one next to their farm!!!
The restaurant itself is very nice as was our waitress and it was fun seeing the Bob Evans homestead, but I was shocked to have been given such a poor quality meal at this location.
Lived the turkey dinner-mashed potatoes, gravy dressing and green beans and biscuits! The farm was so pretty and peaceful too! Didn t realize it was in Ohio too!
Food was good. Neat to be eating at the Bob Evans Farm in Ohio
Was expecting more since it was the original restaurant. This was a huge disappointment. Don't drive out of your way to eat here. Stop at any Bob Evans for the same food.
I ordered today from the Rio grande Ohio Bob Evans and it was terrible. And I had salad
We reached here just after they had a big rush of teenagers. We still had very good service. I had the chicken and waffles. Very tasty. My husband had the grilled salmon. He said it was a bit too fishy, but he ate it.
My husband, son and I went to Rio Grande ,Ohio Bob Evans and the visit well not a good one. When our food arrived to our table we had to ask for my husbands side order of fries. He was not asked the type of bread that comes with his meal, and he didn't get any. I got a bake potatoe with my meal and the waitress didn't bring any butter or sour cream and I was not asked if I wanted any. Again we had to ask and my food was cold by time I got the butter. We were never asked if we wanted refills on drinks. When the waitress gave us our reciept and I went to pay she had given us the wrong one. She had only 3 tables and had gave each table the wrong reciepts. I had already paid and then she came running to the register to tell the checkout person. After that got all cleared up and I paid the rest of the bill I had ordered a takeout order and that was all wrong, but didn't know till I got home. Needless to say the experience wasn't pleasant and doubt if we go back.....
My family always enjoys our visits to the Bob Evans farm. Can't wait for next year, the 50th Anniversary of the festival.
We ventured out to dine in at our local Bob Evans for the 1st time since the Cova 19 pandemic started yesterday. Our state has guidelines in place for any business opening up, one be wearing mask. The host did not have a mask on but the all the servers did have mask on but not all correctly wearing it. We decided to stay and eat because we had worn our mask into the restaurant. The meal and our server was great. However when I went to pay my bill with the non mask wearing host, I saw the manager standing in the prep area not wearing mask and the cook you could see through the pick up window didn t have on a mask either. We won t be returning to this Bob Evans, even though it one of our favorite place in our home town to eat. If they don t follow the guidelines that are important at this time they probably skip the health department rules on a daily bases. I want to add we supported this restaurant during our states shutdown by using their curb side service.
Down on the farm. It was great to visit the homestead and restraunt. Would like to come back for the fall festival.
Gage is awesome!!! She always takes great care of us!!
Food and service were good. If you find yourself in Rio Grande, Ohio I would recommend this Bob Evans to stop at.
Nice place to eat. Friendly server. I had the fried cornmeal mush, which most don't have anymore so I'm a very happy customer.
My husband enjoyed his meal (he had the chicken fried steak and wolfed it down!) but my fries were old and had to be sent back. The burger was not that great. The bathroom was very clean. The waitress was very efficient and attentive but not very happy.
Very nice place to dine good atmosphere all around.
Great food, friendly, courteous staff. Prices are slightly high but we'll worth it.
Friendly staff and prompt service in a beautiful location!
I love Bob Evans, but even though this one was in Rio Grande, Ohio, the home of Bob Evans, it was clearly struggling to keep up with the small crowd. The food was great, but the service was slow and in need of some coaching and management.
We visit every year for the Farm Festival. It's a great trip for families. Praying they let it stay that way
That was the first time I went there, My uncle John Stewart & all was friend's growing up, I have family in the areas, I'm loving see the places, beings back so much, Frome long ago.

It's a shame...one out of FIVE actually has decent service...S_A_D_
Waited too long and our food wasn't right, i ordered medium rare steak and i got well done, my scrambled egg was dry and my hashbrown was peppery. My sons Omelet was dry and not cheesy. My husband's sunny side up eggs, yolk was all over his plate
Service there was very good in a food was the best food I ever had from a Bob Evans
Stop here during the Farmfest, and had lunch here. The food was good, and although they were packed I felt let my drinks were never empty and our server was always checking by.
Relaxing environment. All kinds of attractions for young and old men and women. Wood carving, pig racing, horse shoes, dog show, metal working, and more. Vendors for arts and crafts. Fun times! Cut kids and blue grass music to boot.
