First time there business trip. The grounds and surrounding areas are beautiful. Food is not great, got stomach issues every time i ate in the restaurant or room service not enough choices menu needs an upgrade. Staff is weak except for the short little lady with the British accent but spoke Italian she was competent other than that would not come back. Everything is way too far, pricey and the area is boring. Tried to go to their spa when i got there door was locked i called the 3801 number and the person lady who answered the phone was very rude she said the door is locked because the technician must be busy just wait there. Restaurant staff looks burnt out they need a break can tell from the looks on their faces and attitude, never offered suggestions or recommendations on menu items etc. Need training on customer service in the hospitality environment! For All staff.

Nice!

A wonderful corner of paradise in Garfagnana. Staying here is fantastic, but worth a visit just for the view over the valley and for the well-stocked lounge bar open to all. The bartenders, professional and capable, will be able to delight customers with international drinks up to even the most demanding.

The hotel is high in the Tuscan mountains, where you can see all the day and night beauty of the charming region!

The apartment is very comfortable, just like what you see on the website.

It has a heated pool, wet and dry sauna, gym, chromotherapy course when leaving the sauna and comfortable chairs to relax with ambient music that causes the purest tranquility.

Bad point: You need to rent a car to get around the region.

15 euros entrance, 10 per person and 5 for the car, to see a race of 40 cars it seems to me an authorized theft considering that the entry normally costs 5 ... count on me that I will come back for sure

A really nice hotel. At the top almost on the top of the mountain hotel with helicopter landing area, spa area, bar and everything your heart desires. The staff is super friendly and to come. The room was big enough and well equipped. Three elevators and PC in a separate area. Unfortunately 2 days are too little to see everything, but I am thrilled.

A corner of paradise in the countryside where the singing of birds is the soundtrack to moments of true relaxation. Absolutely kind and helpful hotel staff, ready to satisfy every request. Excellent breakfast, abundant and varied, ranging from classic Italian breakfast cakes, to savory dishes and fresh fruit. Just a flaw, too short vacation!

Thank fully I was here for a conference and wasn't paying myself. The hotel is situated in a fantastic landscape but is remote if you don't have a car. Barga is about a 50min walk away. Hotel is large and staff are friendly but food was average and over priced. Gym lacks equipment and spa is okay if you like lying about. Air con in my room didn't work but room was nice otherwise.

Hotel in a very uncomfortable position, mountains ... climbs ... and sharp bends ... 8.50 per person just to enter the "Resort .." that is on the Internal road surrounded by Boscaglia ... the same road where you leave the car at their "Parking" ..
I state that my trips are only in 4/5 star hotels due to my work.
The courtesy of the staff in the "Hall" is excellent (nothing to say professionalism and competence)
I understand the pandemic period which unfortunately has changed a few things around the world.
Average restaurant with super poor wine list, 5 euro bottles loaded in the card between 30 and 50 euro, you can check by inserting the same label on Google you will get the price that I myself did not need to verify since the "Sufficient waiter", even slightly intrusive in questions, brought the bottle to the table by unscrewing the metal cap like mineral water ... as the bottle required. (no cork)
"Dated" room ... cozy but with non-existent heating, the internal thermostat not working, it was pointed out but I didn't ask to change the room, it went well as there were no reservations, they gave me a Junior Suite for the price of one Classic.
Excellent general cleaning.
At these prices in the Spledida Toscana and especially in the province of Lucca there are more Satisfying Hotels in the context of Gran Lunga.

Fantastic panorama, nature and beautiful old villages ...... already this is a good reason to stay here, but we must add that the hotel is a real paradise! In addition to enjoying an extraordinary location, of great peace and beauty, there is everything you need: great food, spacious and clean rooms, cozy spa and indoor pool. In summer, the outdoor pool offers you a view of a spectacular panorama. All the staff is worthy of praise: professionalism, friendliness and kindness is their business card and Corrado, at the reception, makes sure to satisfy every request, making a stay at Renaissance Tuscany truly unforgettable! Definitely. .... we will be back!

Beautiful resort located on the hill at the foot of which stands the house of Pascoli. Beautiful rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. It has given the location, wonderful views from the various terraces that give to the valley and on some of them you can eat or have breakfast if the weather permits. The SPA has a heated swimming pool where children are also accepted in different time slots.
The restaurant is excellent and serves typical Tuscan dishes impeccably. The cellar is also excellent.

Wonderful place to stay at conference. Good good (although there could be more vegetarian options). The view from the hotel is just breath-taking! The service is polite and professional.

The hotel was beautiful and our stay was lovely, but dealing with customer service after our stay has been a nightmare. My husband and I are loyal Marriott customers and stayed at the resort for a week. We gave them our Marriott Rewards number and expected to receive the points from our stay. That was in April. We still have not received the points and the hotel is now claiming that they cannot find any evidence that we ever stayed. They will not give us the points that we deserve and refuse to even discuss the issue, claiming that we are lying about the stay. I have pictures of us at the hotel, in our hotel room, and I even still have the key card to the door. I also have a charge on my credit card for our stay. I must say that I am very disappointed with Marriott and my husband and I have decided to take our loyalty elsewhere.

Hotel located in high hills, the forest protects this magical hotel. Super friendly staff, both waiters and receptionists, Cinzia is a bomb of energy and smiles. The rooms are warm, bright, impeccable cleanliness. The pool with a view leaves you breathless. The food is typical Tuscan served without waiting and always accompanied by focaccia, fresh bread and excellent quality Tuscan wines. The activities that this hotel offers are numerous. The cooking class with Alessandro was really fun, especially the part where you eat what you have prepared. A place that remains in the heart for its beauty and that of the people who make it alive! thanks again for this wonderful welcome, we felt at home.

Very nice and comfortable structure. Room with excellent finishes and very clean. View of the breathtaking valley. Very friendly staff and a truly varied and abundant breakfast. Only flaw in room temperature not adjustable, (we had to sleep with the window open).

Lovely landscape clean rooms and comfortable friendly staff ideal for a relaxing holiday, if it weren't for the times of the service not really fast and for the small unnpou spa it would be 5 star however highly recommended

This hotel is located on Hill top with nice views. The room are nicely kept and maintained. The place is quiet and peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is served nicely, although a bit expensive. Bar is also expensive, a glass of beer/wine costs 7-10 euros here. Overall, this place is nice getaway place.

We stayed here for the first week of our honeymoon in Italy. The hotel was fantastic and the rooms were comfortable, the latter especially by European standards. The staff was quite friendly, although not overly so. And the view...what a view! It also made for an excellent base for seeing the area, and the road up and down the hill was a fun drive. My wife did partake in the spa portion and said it was good, but not exceptional for the price. One thing: while room service was good for breakfast (it's the only place I ate an "American" breakfast), I would skip both the restaurant and the pizza place for lunch and dinner. With so many good places to eat in Barga and the surrounding towns, it's not worth it in both price and quality. I HIGHLY recommend Ristorante Triti, Triti Roberto in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. The gnocchi was the best I have ever had. Other than that, I would recommend this place any day of the week.

Stayed a week for conference. This is the second time I've stayed at the resort. The location is secluded and has a beautiful view of the Tuscan mountains which makes it conducive for conference purposes. Might be a bit secluded for family members as there isn't a whole lot to do locally unless you have a car. My room had a fantastic view and even though I usually sleep poorly in beds not my own, the bed was fantastically comfortable and I slept great. The room had a balcony which was great for reading while enjoying the view. Meals were provided for the meeting so I cannot comment on value for cost, but the food was tasty, variety was great, and the coffee was good. My issue with the resort was with the spa and service. I was less than impressed with the quality of my massage the last time I came. With that in mind, I still booked a massage this visit hoping for a change. Unfortunately I was still disappointed. I booked an 80 minute massage, which was quite pricey (but when you have traveled long, you seek relaxation), but ended up receiving a 50 minute massage. There are no clocks in the spa so I could not keep track of time, it wasn't until I returned to my room that I realized I was shorted 30 min!

The restaurant up the tiny stairs near the front desk overlooking the hills and town is a must for dinner. It's a charming place. They could speak English for the most part and had some American staff too.

Great location and views, modern interior with contemporary design. Rooms are lovely however small. Food was not great, better going to the village. Staff were pleasant,. Service was slow.

A most beautiful hideaway and retreat!! The winding road taken just outside of the little village of Barga will have you on top of this Resort hillside and breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset!! The staff are gracious and helpful!! The manager Antonio is most generous and helpful as were Maria and Alice!! When these folks greet you upon arrival, you will know a pleasant experience awaits! Lounging by the pool - even in October!! Was a pleasure as the temp was about 77-80 degrees F... the restaurant is managed by wonderful hosts here as well. The Chefs selections are unique and delicious. The rooms - oh my goodness the views are awesome from the balcony rooms. The beds and accommodations are spacious warm and comfy. The bathroom has a spacious shower with both traditional shower head and a rainforest style shower head - you won t want to get out!! Anyways, the property is well managed and for an October visit is not crowded and the staff will gonout of their way to ensure you are having a good stay.... or make things better in anyway you could imagine.

I have seen a marked improvement over the previous ownership, being a rally competitor the convenience of having the rooms in the heart of the race is priceless and you could also indulge in some shortcomings, but I haven't found any!
