This weekend the hotel hosted the Texas Cornhole League annual Ryder Cup tournament. My wife and I stayed at the hotel rather than driving across town. The room was very comfortable and the staff most courteous and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay.

What a fabulous Hotel. I travel a lot for work and have seen many different types of hotels. From great to awful. And this one was certainly great. Though it is a ways away from downtown Dallas, there's a train station right behind it. Which made getting in and out of Dallas easier than driving my car! Whenever I'm in the area I'm going to stay here. As a final note every employee I dealt with was exemplary. Dwight at the front desk should be a trainer for all Marriott employees

We enjoyed the location. Older but remodeled. Everyone at this property was extremely nice. Concierge lounge open on the weekend to lounge around without being in your room. Drinks were also available but no food service in concierge lounge on the weekend which is normal. Staff was extra friendly and made you feel at home.

I was excited to stay at this location after reading the great reviews. If I was basing the experience on the quality of the outside facade, 1st floor, and the staff, I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately an apparent remodel of the hotel stopped on the 1st floor. I walked into a 1970's era room with a dead cricket on the floor and many other cricket pieces scattered throughout. The room was warm even with the AC set as low as it would go and the only vent that had air coming out of it was the one in the bedroom.

The cleanliness of the bathroom was decent and I did like the Aveda toiletries.

After paying more for an Executive Suite (plus paying for parking), I expected at least a clean, vacuumed room. When I unpack the next day upon returning home, I should not find pieces of crickets in my suitcase. Disgusting. I say, spend your money elsewhere; you will have a nicer experience.

Stayed here when visiting UT Dallas, very pleasant experience, food inside the bar/restaurant was kind of pricy, parking was good, front desk clark was awesome, the inside decor was actually very pleasing, pretty modern looking hotel. Rooms were absolutely fantastic.

Went for a company Christmas party. The staff was very friendly, warm, and not at all stuffy. Considering the environment, you could see a more uptight response. But, not the case. Very pleased with the entirety of the visit.

I didn t stay here, but my teenage daughter did as part of a dance convention. She said the hotel was beautiful and the food was good. Unfortunately, she caught a virus from a friend while she was there, and I was several hours away. I called the front desk to ask I could purchase some medicine and have some toast sent to her room to help her until I could get her home. One of the managers, John, was so kind and concerned. He immediately had medicine, food, and water sent to her complimentary. I truly appreciate the kindness and concern of the staff at this hotel! I will stay here every time I go back to Dallas and recommend it to everyone I know!

Traveled for work. First time had random bar charges on my final bill and the second time they charged me for a check in that was cancelled. (Plans changed and i was there a week earlier than originally planned. Cancelled the reservation for the second week and was charged a no-show fee becuase the system never updated). Even though i had the confirmation number i had to jump through hoops to have it corrected.

I work for a courtyard marriott, and made a reservation to stay at this hotel. I drove all the way to dallas, and upon check in i was turned down because i'm 19. There was absolutely nothing on the website or in my confirmation email to inform me that i had to be 21 to check in at a hotel for a company that i work for, and so i drove here for nothing and ended up without a place to stay, and the front desk staff was incredibly dismissive and rude about it. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone, shameful service.

Nice Hotel, clean. Booked a club suite at a great price. Room was clean and good sized, more than enough room for family of five. Beds were very comfortable. But......we checked in at 4:00 p.m., one hour past the hotel's check in time, and room wasn't available. So we had to wait 30 minutes in the lobby before we got to our room. Ordered room service that night. Food wasn't that great. Had the brisket sandwich and the meat was mostly fat, very chewy, and only parts were luke war the rest was cold. Ordered cheese pizza for the kids and they said they didn't have cheese pizza so I ordered the Margarita pizza with no basil or tomatoes and tada, a cheese pizza! Why couldn't they just done that from the get go. SMH. All staff were great, other then the rm service call. Hotel is pet friendly for a fee!! Only $50. Not so bad. Indoor pool was great for the family. Pool was big with a big hot tub. Kids loved it and it help tire them out. Overall pretty good experience with just a few hiccups. Would stay here again.

Staff are unprofessional at best, often rude and misguided. Dirty baths tub, no minibar, dust on surfaces, noise from highway. Having been to various business hotels around the world, i can say that my two week stay here have been most unpleasant. Locals say this is one of the nicer hotels in the area but I am not coming back to stay here again and neither should you!

I stayed Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel (Hote...

I stayed Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel (Hotel address: 900 E. Lookout Drive, Richardson, Texas 75082) on Feb. 3 for 1 night.

When I checked in the guy in the front desk gave me 2 breakfast coupons. I told him I reserved with a Stay for Breakfast rate, which includes breakfast for 2 adults and children 12 and under, so asked 4 coupons including my children. He said there is no such a rate and only 2 adults breakfast included. I had to show him my reservation details and finally he gave me 4 coupons reluctantly. So renaissance hotel doesn t share with their hotel employees about the package rates and guests should show the evidence about the rate.

I went to my room and checked additional toiletries that I requested on my Marriott app, but as expected nothing was there. I had to call to get.

My family went out to have dinner and came back to hotel. We were very tired, so slept earlier. When I just got asleep I had to get up soon due to noises from the neighboring room. The room was a connecting room and basically I could hear every sound from the neighboring room. Their conversation, laughs, TV sounds, opening/closing doors, namely every sound. The sound was so loud, so I had to call to front desk around 1:30 am. The guy told me he would call. But, no peace came and I had to struggle for one more hour. I called again. Finally, the front desk guy came to the next room and they talked each other. And yes I could hear even this conversation too clearly. After that they ended talking, but TV was turned on all night long until morning. So my wife and I couldn t sleep at all.

Next morning after breakfast we went to swimming pool. Pool and Jacuzzi were nice. Finally, I thought I could have some peaceful time here. But, a couple came and the guy smoked electronic cigarette in the Jacuzzi until I talked to him about this issue. Can you believe? A guy smoked in the indoor swimming pool at renaissance hotel!!! If hotel manager has a chance to read my review, then just try to watch your surveillance camera in the pool at 10 am, Feb. 4.

Before leaving the room I checked the room not to leave our belongings. And found some blood stains in the blanket when I just put away from the bed which I couldn t find last night since those were very deep inside the blanket.

Ok. Ok. Ok. There should be nothing left, right? Oh no. Finally it was a check out time. Yes, as expected the front desk guy never asked me how my stay was. He knew it was not good. He gave me an invoice and there was a mysterious charge about 5 bucks. I asked him what this was. He told that s for premium internet charge that I never used. I told him I just used basic internet service and never used premium one. He insisted someone in your family should use it. He explained it never charges if you don t put my information, room number and last name. Actually, I m the only one who used internet and know exactly what I used. But, he insisted and I thought did I? . Anyway it was just less than 5 bucks and I left the hotel. And during my home back I figured out what happened. It was from the TV. The TV in the hotel is a smart TV which is connected via internet to enable youtuve, netflis, (intentionally mistyped) etc. My child watched some video clips in youtuve. But, there was no prior notice that it will be charged. No, I didn t put any of my information to use youtuve in the TV. This is a serious fraud. It is only five bucks, but actually, if you just push ok in the remote then it is charged. This should be one of the smarted way to use smart tv in the hotel and soon this will be widely adopted in every hotel since they can get money easily. If you have similar experience like did I? then no you didn t do anything wrong.

So, this is my story and never forget this happened in one night.

Now, you really want to go to this hotel if you want to smoke in indoor pools and make some noises.

Otherwise, this is not the place that decent people want to go.

My room was wonderful. The Ambassador text me throughout the day to see if there was anything the hotel could do for me. They promptly brought me anything I asked for. It was much appreciated.
