I stayed Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel (Hotel address: 900 E. Lookout Drive, Richardson, Texas 75082) on Feb. 3 for 1 night.

When I checked in the guy in the front desk gave me 2 breakfast coupons. I told him I reserved with a Stay for Breakfast rate, which includes breakfast for 2 adults and children 12 and under, so asked 4 coupons including my children. He said there is no such a rate and only 2 adults breakfast included. I had to show him my reservation details and finally he gave me 4 coupons reluctantly. So renaissance hotel doesn t share with their hotel employees about the package rates and guests should show the evidence about the rate.

I went to my room and checked additional toiletries that I requested on my Marriott app, but as expected nothing was there. I had to call to get.

My family went out to have dinner and came back to hotel. We were very tired, so slept earlier. When I just got asleep I had to get up soon due to noises from the neighboring room. The room was a connecting room and basically I could hear every sound from the neighboring room. Their conversation, laughs, TV sounds, opening/closing doors, namely every sound. The sound was so loud, so I had to call to front desk around 1:30 am. The guy told me he would call. But, no peace came and I had to struggle for one more hour. I called again. Finally, the front desk guy came to the next room and they talked each other. And yes I could hear even this conversation too clearly. After that they ended talking, but TV was turned on all night long until morning. So my wife and I couldn t sleep at all.

Next morning after breakfast we went to swimming pool. Pool and Jacuzzi were nice. Finally, I thought I could have some peaceful time here. But, a couple came and the guy smoked electronic cigarette in the Jacuzzi until I talked to him about this issue. Can you believe? A guy smoked in the indoor swimming pool at renaissance hotel!!! If hotel manager has a chance to read my review, then just try to watch your surveillance camera in the pool at 10 am, Feb. 4.

Before leaving the room I checked the room not to leave our belongings. And found some blood stains in the blanket when I just put away from the bed which I couldn t find last night since those were very deep inside the blanket.

Ok. Ok. Ok. There should be nothing left, right? Oh no. Finally it was a check out time. Yes, as expected the front desk guy never asked me how my stay was. He knew it was not good. He gave me an invoice and there was a mysterious charge about 5 bucks. I asked him what this was. He told that s for premium internet charge that I never used. I told him I just used basic internet service and never used premium one. He insisted someone in your family should use it. He explained it never charges if you don t put my information, room number and last name. Actually, I m the only one who used internet and know exactly what I used. But, he insisted and I thought did I? . Anyway it was just less than 5 bucks and I left the hotel. And during my home back I figured out what happened. It was from the TV. The TV in the hotel is a smart TV which is connected via internet to enable youtuve, netflis, (intentionally mistyped) etc. My child watched some video clips in youtuve. But, there was no prior notice that it will be charged. No, I didn t put any of my information to use youtuve in the TV. This is a serious fraud. It is only five bucks, but actually, if you just push ok in the remote then it is charged. This should be one of the smarted way to use smart tv in the hotel and soon this will be widely adopted in every hotel since they can get money easily. If you have similar experience like did I? then no you didn t do anything wrong.

So, this is my story and never forget this happened in one night.

Now, you really want to go to this hotel if you want to smoke in indoor pools and make some noises.

Otherwise, this is not the place that decent people want to go.
