Rooms were very large and spaced out leaving room for many different activities. Service was extremely well as the lady at the front desk as well as the staff were open to questions and were extremely helpful in finding the location of the event.

It's ok for a hotel but fell short of the standard elevated Marriott Renissance experience. Book a room and you get a breakfast buffet voucher. NOT worth getting up and dining there. Better off eating offsite. Buffet is subpar. Cold food that is suppose to be hot. Limited options. Blah food, blah rooms, super blah bathroom. Toiletries are Aveda products but watered down versions. Only bar soap that leaves film. The bed is super comfy though!

The rooms are pretty nasty, but on the bright side, they left some free food for us in the chair. Also, plan on adding about $60 to your bill, as WiFi, breakfast, and parking all will cost you. There are much better options nearby.

The hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, but unfortunately it is a let down. Also guest have to pay additional parking. The room is above average, but nothing special. Our room's plumbing was questionable and the renovation were more extensive than advertised

The hotel bar here is nice, rooms are spacious and no crime in the area. Some really cool waterfountains in the outside area. The parking situation is not good though. Desk attendants are incredibly warm and welcoming. If you are staying in Richardson this is a good location.

I stayed here for 6 nights. I felt like I practically lived there because I was there for so long. The entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They were always greeting me when I arrived and left the hotel. The rooms were so nicely cleaned. The gym is AMAZING! There's a variety of equipment that allowed me to vary my workouts. The housekeeping staff was on top of cleaning my room at such convenient times. The hotel is beautiful and the ambiance is relaxing.

If I had one complaint, I would only say that the bathrooms near the gym could use a bit more attention i.e. soap refills and checking for garbage in the stalls.

I really enjoyed my stay there. Excellent job overall!

Great experience and staff. However, housekeeping woke us up at 8am to clean the room when we were checking out in a few hours. I was pretty frustrated with her because she woke our 17 month old up after a restless night. She tried again at 1030 when we were trying to gather our things. The hotel was almost empty so I know it wasn't a matter of them needing the room.

Great service and associates. Realy top notch. Room climate was not consistent. It always felt the same no matter what degree I entered. Beds were ok but had no spring or cushion. I felt sometimes I was sleeping on a bean bag. Other wise good stay.

This review is for the employee that made us forget about the terrible customer service the manager of the night shift gave us. His name is David he works the front desk. David's customer service is outstanding! Also the house keepers, I wish I could have gotten their name. My kids enjoyed the in door pool.

I just come back from labor day weenkend staying at Renaissance Richardson and here's my views:

Pro: nice looking lobby makes you feel it's worth the price but just the lobby. good breakfast buffett.

Con: very rude valet personel, wait for elevator forever, ugly green carpet, old sofa, dirty sofa pillow, stain on wall, no trash liners in their 3 waste baskets, dirty fridge. NO FREE WIFI. list goes on

Overall: I will never come back. not family friendly. I arrived at this hotel after 6 hours of driving and encounter a short tempered valet person (white and late thirty early forty) and got scold at and yelled at me like a dog. He did that to the van in front of me too. First time there so he should explain where to park the car to check in. The first person you meet at this "upscale" Marriott chain is someone yelling at you like you're not a human being. He does not have incentive to be nice because you pay for valet or self park anyway. I'm obviously upset because I treat people with respect and these is what I get. I have much better overall experience at Double Tree and Hyatt and many other places at half the price. Visit Addison/Richardson all the time but Never come back to this hotel.

Our stay at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson exce...

Our stay at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson exceeded expectations on every front.

The rooms were less expensive than some of the other hotels we considered, but it was convenient to the event we were attending, so we expected a tradeoff of convenience for luxury and were proven happily wrong!

You know how some hotels treat you as though you should consider yourselves lucky to be staying in their hotel, and your requests are an annoyance to the staff. The Renaissance Dallas Richardson was just the opposite. Every single staff person there bent over backwards to please us, seemed genuinely dedicated to doing a good job and to making us feel very appreciated for example:

(1) When we arrived and our reserved room wasn't ready for occupancy, the front desk person, Rhona, offered us a room in which to freshen up. Then when the people in the double queen Jr. Suite we'd reserved decided to stay another night, she upgraded us to an King Executive Suite AND comp d us an additional King room! I thought that was considerate of the people who decided to stay another night, and considerate of us.
(2) The room service was fast, thoughtful (they asked important questions) and courteous, and the food unexpectedly delicious and hot when it arrived!
(3) When we requested additional pillows and blankets, they arrive so quickly we were shocked.
(4) The drinks in the bar were tasty, and the setting pleasant, as was the entire hotel. In spite of a huge crowd staying there for the Miss Texas Pageant, it never felt cramped or loud.
(5) They had a large bank of fast elevators, which was so nice as we usually spend lots of time waiting for elevators in hotels.
(6) We were literally across a driveway away from the Eisemann Center, and close and convenient to SMU, Highland Park, NorthPark and even downtown which was a quick shot down the unexpectedly fast-moving U. S. Highway 75 (Central Expressway).
(7) We requested our car from the valet and it was actually there waiting for us when we arrived at the entrance, and the service personnel were so nice.

We will definitely stay at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson again.

Will be a nice hotel after they finish renovations. Room was a little bit dated and missing some amenities. I think at least one floor was already renovated and they were working on to other floors.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. Although seemingly clean, random items left in the refrigerator and bathroom made me wonder what else was 'recycled' in the room. Super friendly staff and valet made our brief stay more enjoyable.

Beautiful lobby. The bar is set up for easy conversation and the bartenders were wonderful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The conference rooms were nicely decorated and the catered meals were delicious. The beds were like sinking into a cloud. And the infused water was an especially nice treat.

Amazingly soft bed, and love the Aveda products. The bathroom could have been updated. Staff wasn't very helpful and blew off our questions. However if you need a place to sleep in on a soft bed, look here.

Rented a suite and wasn't impressed. The couch was uncomfortable, the lighting was awkward and too dim, the TV picture/sound was terrible, and the room service was delivered lukewarm without a tray. I really expected better for the nicest hotel Richardson has to offer.

The lobby and exterior of the hotel are very nice and every staff member was exceptionally kind and helpful. However, we rented a suite and expected better. The furniture was ripped and stained. The curtains were snagged and ripped as well.

One of my favorite hotels to stay in when working in the richardson/plano area. Concerirge is excellent and bar has great service and good selection of local beers. Staff bends over backward everytime I'm there. I believe newly renovated and close to a number of casual restaurants.

For such a "nice" place, the room smelled bad, and I think the AC unit in the room wasn't working so well. Something outside the window (the AC I think) kept me up all night, just as I drifted off, it would bang again. When I mentioned it to the staff in the morning, they weren't terribly sympathetic. Pretty lobby, and friendly bar staff though.

This hotel has a beautiful Lobby. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and very friendly. The hotel is located in a nice area with plenty of nearby places to eat and shop. If I'm in this area, I will definitely want to stay here again.

The location was perfect. Right next to the Dart train to go to the fair. You have to try the flat bread downstairs it was the best. They have a good wine variety too. Just an over all great experience. Worth the price.
