Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa Review

Great resort with fine nature and excellent service. But notice that location is good if you are planning to just rest in quiet place. It is kinda far away from cities.

Amazing hotel, best on Mai Khao. Great facilities, beautiful views. Paddle boarding and such available. Friendly Thai award winning service and smiles.

Nice spread out property with kids area and water park. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Three well managed restaurants with Indian vegetarian food options also. Spa experience too was nice and refreshing.

This is the second time I've come here and plan on coming back again anad again. I love this place and strongly recommend it to all my family, friends, acquaintances and random starngers on the bus. The rooms and views are fantastic. All the staff are super friendly, the food is delicious and I can't rave on enough about the buffet breakfast. I have travelled around the world and genuinely think this place has the best one in the world! I can't wait until my next visit!

I liked the hotel. Not big. Quiet, cozy, clean, tasty) The breakfasts are delicious! The beach is almost wild. The sea is immediately deep. It's better with kids in another Hotel) There are no strangers. Walking along the beach line, you can not meet anyone)))
Service is Good. Massage on the beach is loved by many.
We had lunch and dinner not only in the restaurants of our Hotel, but also in Marriott and Sala. Everything is worthy. I didn t like the main restaurant for dinner (where breakfasts take place) So we had dinner in others.

Really not the type of resort I would normally choose as it's far too big (around 200 rooms), mainly aimed at families with kids and frankly far too overpriced for what it offers. The advantage of it is that it's close to the airport and on a beach that is so big and removed from the main buzzing places on the island that it is quite tranquil and relaxing. The location is also a disadvantage since you have to grab a taxi to go out of the hotel and eat at different restaurants in the area which will set you back at least 500 bhats. To go to Surin beach it is 1000 bhats one way, 1800 both ways. The resort does offer shuttle services to Phuket and Patong which are more fairly priced. The prices at the restaurants are quite high also but the food at least is generally quite good (avoid the chicken satay and the pizza). The beach is clean but unfortunately the sea is full of sea lice or some other creatures that bite so has limited usability. Most guests didn't seem to mind though and just stuck to the pool. There are two sections, one for "deluxe rooms" which are in 4 story buildings split in two parts, one next to a pond (where we were housed) that is frankly not very nice since it is brown and not very nice to look at, and the other part is a bit closer to the beach overlooking just the garden which is probably nicer. Then there are the private villas which I'm sure are nice but also quite pricey. Overall I would say there are nicer and better priced resorts in Thailand, it's just that we couldn't really find one on Phuket island which in general seems to be overpriced compared with the rest of the country.

I'm reviewing this while I'm still here aha. But a nice resort area tucked away in northern phucket. If you want to get away from all the city, noise, crowds come here! They have activities daily for the guests. Two main restaurants on property, one with a happy hour 4 to 5! A spa. Lounge. Main pool, kids pool. Everything you need in one area. They have a free shuttle service to go to the nearby plaza with a 7 eleven so you can stock up on necessities. Awesome beautiful staff.

My favourite hotel in Phuket. The service is wonderful, the pool and beach are stunning, the restaurants are fantastic. Its a newer hotel as well so the rooms are very modern. Everything is clean and well maintained. We've been twice already and will definitely keep going back!

You could stay here just for food. From dinner, night to breakfast. Especially breakfast.

Private. The hotel has a lot of space. There are various activities to play. Very good service staff. The pool is a little too small.

Only drawback, we were sick from the buffet but the little thai restaurant is great nearby.

This hotel is located in the north west part of Phuket in a gated resort community. We were fortunate enough to have booked the Villa which is like a mini palace with its own pool. The hotel has three restaurants and 2 main pools (one being for children).

Overall, the five star amenities including Quan Spa - means that you never really have to leave the resort to experience the beauty of the hotel and the private beach right infront.

Additionally, the staff at the hotel are just world class - and superb on so many levels; anything we needed was immediately look after. They embody the natural hospitality of the Thai people whilst maintaining a true five star hospitality.

The favourite part of our trip was the personalised little notes left to us by house keeping each day - it always put a smile on our face. (Thank you Ya!)

The resort has people from all over the world, with diverse backgrounds and I believe is truly world class.

4.5 or more... hotel, very warm welcome, nice people almost everywhere (slow on the international restaurant), nice beach not crowded, we stayed in a villa which have a private pool just recommend to offer rides to the villas to clients when raining since it tends to flood very quickly.

The atmosphere is good, the room is very comfortable, the room is very crowded, not very calm. There is no parking, but the staff can pick up the car. Just a restaurant I'd rather go down for a buffet.

The hotel is well decorated both interior and exterior. The staff provides incredible service with good manner and are all very friendly. All facility both in-room and main area (pools, beaches, restaurant) are nice and very clean.

Fantastic hotel with outstanding service. Rooms were very nice and clean. Hotel is kid friendly with kids club and nice pool. Breakfast buffet is gigantic - there is almost everything your heart desires. Great we also found the opportunity to rent bikes for free - there were fat bikes for young and old. We are happy to come back ...

Beautiful, but the staff will be confused when checking out to see the bill is good, there is a secret chart, the room is wide, can upgrade Let me shake Nong at the dining room did not coordinate with the Kong Kong heat.

Loved this place. It is tastefully built to deliver serenity. The tranquility is priceless. The room I stayed had a balcony where I could enjoy the stream that induced peace. Our first vacation in Thailand and then in this beautiful hotel! Very great service, all incredibly friendly and caring. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Were mostly eating outside in the evening. We visited the great restaurant in the area twice. Unfortunately there were a lot of small children!

Went there with my wife for a friend's wedding. Would have been a pleasant experience until the end where the hotel mixed up our passport during check in and gave us another couple's passport which nearly caused us to miss our flight. To be fair they did call me after I landed and apologised and would send me an email with hotel points and others for all the troubles but 2 weeks later and still nothing. Really disappointed coming from a well regarded international hotel, not what I expected at all.

Superb place. The staff is very attentive. A tuc tuc takes you to turtle village. You can eat there or make small souvenir purchases.

Do not forget to go for a little bike ride to go to the Mai Khao temple.

Loved the ambience. Personnel were friendly smiling and ever ready to help.very professional. One of the best holidays i have enjoyed.

Great resort with warm and hospitable staff. Breakfast is wonderful. You got to buy it when booking. Otherwise, it would cost 6500 baht. My villa has a private pool, a huge quartz tub, indoor and outdoor showers. However, it is very remote on the northern part of the Phuket island, 1 hour away from Royal Phuket marina. 1.5 hours from Patong beach and Phuket Town. Keep this in mind when looking for hotels in Phuket.

Biking, Paddle board, gym, badminton, table tennis, yoga, boxing, kid class are example of activities.

A great place to chill out and relax. A fantastic option if you are focused on the resort and its offerings. Private beach is awesome. Special kudos to Takieng for serving one of my most memorable meals in Phuket. Do try the Mango Sticky Rice Cocktail!

Lovely place, have daily activities for adults and kids. Hotel room facilities were abit worn off, during our stay TV not working half of the time, light switches so confusing. Staffs and services are good. But paying that price expect the room abit better.

I had a lot of expectations on this hotel because it s 5 stars and very famous
I would like to celebrate my birthday and my anniversary with my boyfriend.
The most important things is the room is not soundproof at 11 PM. I still heard next room had party then I had to called reception for twice times then everything back to normal I had asked to move to another room but they had sent the people to warning that room and denied my request.
The Cold pressed juice for orange is not a fresh one as I can saw the bottom that they input.

My wife and I just spent five nights here as part of our tour of Thailand. The resort is very nice. It feels like a luxury treat to escape to and is away any hustle and bustle. The villas are fabulous to stay in. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Nothing seems too much trouble.
The food seems expensive but our exchange rate is currently very weak. On the upside the food tastes great and there is a more economical optional next door so you can mix it up. We highly recommend this resort to others looking for a quiet piece of paradise right on the beach.

Oct 10, 2020 The breakfast buffet is good value, there is a lot of spa and activities to do in the hotel. There is a dinner restaurant named Lamp, there is a swimming pool. There is an excellent hotel on the beach.

Awesome place to stay especially as a parent!! Dino the Kiddy pool and related activities keep them busy for a while. Also everyday they provide one Wonderful snack in the room for your kid. Good options in restaurants for above 4 kids. Sandbox restaurant is fun and quite tasty.
If you are looking for romantic dinner option their Thai place provides wonderful sunset view. Only the breakfast staff need to keep their hospitality unbiased towards all customers. Private beach is really secure and clean !

A 5-Star Hotel, a luxury hotel in the Marriotte hotel family lies in the elegance of Mai Khao Beach . Private, quiet, white sandy beach. The room is beautiful, good decoration smooth and warm tone. Emphasizing natural wood color. Good staff. I will come back when I have a chance. Happy

Clean rooms, good service staff. The breakfast is very good. In the rain, you can walk around the hotel without getting wet. There is a children's pool. There is a fitness center with spa services. Travel is not convenient, about two kilometers from 7-11. Should prepare snacks and drinks ready because the car cost is very expensive About 45 kilometers from Phuket town

We had a wonderful time at renaissance. Everything about it is just fabulous, immaculate and extraordinary. I had a great time with my family . The food is yummy, the rooms are clean and spacious and services are superb.
I had left my baggage by mistake and am extremely thankful to the staff at the hotel who delivered my belongings to the airport in time . I am extremely thankful to the staff who were so helpful in an emergency like this. A big thanks to all .

Beautiful setting, great good, and wonderful staff. A bit of a drive, but senic views along the way. Will definitely go back.
