4th time staying at this hotel. Wonderful location in terms of all the good food joints. There is a char kway Teow makeshift stall round the corner coffee shop that sells great kway Teow from about 5 pm to midnight. Hotel offers shuttle bus to Melaka clock tower which is a short walk to Jonker street. The other stop is at Makhota Parade shopping center. Excellent river views of the Shore and the other beach view. Will continue our annual holidays to stay at this hotel.

Stayed there for a weekend vacation in Malacca. Stuff are very friendly and courteous, proactively greeting you when you meet them. The rooms are spacious and clean. Air conditioning is cooling but not too cold. I went for the breakfast buffet, which is not complimentary for my room. The staff are prompt in following up on the billing, making the process smooth and painless. Breakfast buffet has a good variety from different cuisines, including native food, Chinese, Indian, Western etc. Food is delicious, cooked food is served hot and items are regularly replenished.

Agree with some reviews, doesn't feel like 5 star at the hotel lobby. Probably it is 20 yrs ago ;P But the room is rather new and quite modern, surprisingly huge. Drastic difference from lobby.
We are here for 1 Nite for the food, so this hotel location here is great. Oh yes, for those driving, the carpark entrance is rather challenging.

The Long Feng Restaurant which promotes its Saturday Dim-sum is a pale comparison to what it used to serve a year or more ago. The ambiance is relaxing and comfortable but not the dim-sum, unfortunately. If the restaurant doesn't do something about this shortcoming, it's going to spoil its own reputation.

This is a very good hotel. The building may be old (1980s) but the rooms have all been upgraded and represent really good value for money. Service is great, staff are all friendly and professional. Breakfast is of decent quality though you wont need to eat in the hotel as there are so many coffee shops and eateries within 5 mins walk of the hotel. The Shore shopping mall is also about 5-10mins walk away. The hotel gym, which is also a fitness club, is fabulous and the secure multistorey carpark has plenty of space and will house your ride just fine. Yes the entrance ramp to the carpark is terribly narrow. Perhaps cars were smaller back in the 1980s.

For a 5 star hotel it is bad.

For a 5 star hotel it is bad.

Mold in the shower. No shadowed sunbed, so it is impossible to stay there in the day. Bureaucracy nonsense when you want to visit the pool/gym. You have to sign up with you name and room number. Even have to sign if you take towels and you have to bring them back. Really bothering nonsense.

Claim to be 5 Star but I personally don't feel it is cause this hotel already more than few decades. Food, not bad but I think Hatten Melaka food is better. They are international and authentic local alaka food as well. Waitress's service is good. Free coffee will be serve after the meal.

Room just renovated, so believed it's comfortable and nice.

Good

I was there 19/12 to 22/12.
Although the room got some area look old but overall still acceptable .
But the 13th floor room service staff need to be more motivated when duty .
My room aircon was found leaking, after the technician finish their work, they told me will ask the room service to clean up the wet floor, unfortually I ring up 3 time they never turn up..... end up I need to dry it myself. I fell very diappointted about this .

Last I don't forget to thank the staff on duty at reception around 12 plus noon on 19/12, is a Malay girl , she very helpful and smile thru out when talking to us. I wish her all the best and looking forward to see her again .

Love the hotel. Will definitely come back. Friendly staff, excellent service and clean room. My praises especially goes to Restaurant Manager of Zest, Mr Maheswaran and waiter Mr Ridzuan, who was so kind to us as I was travelling alone with my twin boys who are autistic. They were so attentive to our needs during meal times at the Zest. Thank you very much. I hope management will give them a very big bonus.

Hotel is very well refurbished. Check in was quick. Rooms were very spacious, very cozy and very comfortable. The bed was firm to my liking, and the down pillows comfortable. Ample power plugs to charge your gadgets. TV has alot of movies to select, good if you just want to laze around in bed all day. Toilets are very well equipped and the water pressure is great.

Had the buffet breakfast and lunch and i am very impressed with the spread, and taste good as well. Great to see the chef frying fresh hot noodles in the middle of the counter. THere were live counters as well serving grilled chicken etc.

Location is good, not in the middle of the busy Melaka city, but just at the entry point. More quiet to my liking

We went there just this Jan 2020. The staff were so amazingly welcoming and helpful. Special mention to Atikah, Rashida and Noor Aini. They helped me retrieve my lost jackets that have sentimental value to me. We lost them at another hotel and they gave out extra effort to coordinate with the staff there to get them back. Thank you so much. Ramada, you have remarkable trust- worthy staff!!

Good hotel location in the city center. Staffs were nice and accommodating. The rooms seems refurbished however the building itself is abit aged and tired. Room windows are thin and outside traffic noise is audible clearly at night. You may have problem if you're a light sleeper the trade off is Good price for a 5 Star hotel... Overall it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel continuously keeps up with time, and for that matter, the interior and the exterior was given a new facelift last year. The Guest Rooms, for sure, pamper guests with the latest hospitality features while these rooms provide awesome views to the Straits Of Melaka and the spectacular Melaka River.

A great stay within the heart of Melacca. Walking distance from the famous Jonker Street and places of attraction. Lots of food places within the vicinity to explore.

As for the room itself, bed was comfortable. There's a lazy sofa next to the window for days you don't feel like going out as the weather do get very hot at times.

Seems like the facilities were either well maintained, or recently renovated.

Overall, very pleased with my stay and definitely will consider again if I visit Melacca.

I got a room with window overlooking the straits of Malacca at the horizon. The view during the day is amazing. The hotel location itself is easy to miss since the street in front of the hotel is very narrow. For room, it is very spacious but for some reason the room i was in, the aircond is not functioning correctly, i cant reduce the temperature.
