Locally rated 5 star hotel. I stayed at this hotel 3 times and found the services satisfactory, staff cheerful and helpful. Hotel ambience good and pleasant.

Perhaps one of my best hotel stay in JB. The meals are awesome, meets the standard of a top hotel. Staff are really helpful and attentive.

Place is still as pleasant as it has always been. BLD Cafe buffet prices are still competitive and they serve up a very good spread for dinners. The food has been consistently good enough for anyone who wants to have different kinds of foods in one place, and having as much as you want.

I always loved the salad and cheese stations. Never get tired of the cheese and will always have more than enough. Each visit makes a different experience.

Cafe BLD was wonderful, Staff was great! Particularly Mr Guna one of the staff there. Very good service given!

Did corporate training here for 4days. Clean, comfortable, quiet, food is great. Gym has quite some equipments, like it. Shopping also easy around.

Been here for a company CNY lunch. For those who never coming here before might having trouble to find the parking entrance. The parking fees is not so expensive but not really cheap though. Been there for only an hour and half, cost us about RM5. The food selection on the hotel restaurant is amazingly huge. For those who want to try eating here might not regret the decision.

This Chinese restaurant must be changed of chef. Previous time dim sum was so delicious.
Waiter is not well trained.

The beds are very comfortable but find the pillow too soft. We stayed on the 15th floor and find the rooms and corridors very clean. Breakfast spread is very good but maybe is because it's weekend they ran out of cups for tea and coffee very fast. Generally we will still recommend any friends who wants a short stay in JB this hotel.

Amazing service and amazing food. The rooms are almost perfect. However as usual there are problems. The rooms have little sockets for charging traveling with a family and having multiple devices might be hard. Another thing that is a slight disturb ance is how the bathroom works. There is a sliding window that can be opened from the outside of the bathroom. What It means is anybody in your room can peek into you showering or doing business because from the inside you can't lock the windoe

tasty chicken noodles .. no pounds ... never come here after playing badminton.

You gotta try the lamb shank in the coffee house...more than enough for two and super value

Please improve the levels of cleanliness at club lounge especially with your jugs of juices.

Renaissance hotel has aged poorly over the past 3 years. This will be a frank review over the place. This is a hotel under the Marriott group but hardly feels like it. Maintenance has been a key issue and honestly the decor to the rooms feel a little dated. There have been improvements to the club lounge menu and the hotel breakfast is still one of the better offerings in JB. My current review is based on the recent stay which was during the off peak season. Service is rather inconsistent, they have great staff at management level however the service of the majority of them is still lacking. For the current period avoid the pool terraces. I am hoping to see improvements from Renaissance. I will review the hotel again.

Update: been back in Nov (during customer appreciation week.) Was given cupcakes and chilled apple juice upon arrival.

Once again my trip was generally good but there were hiccups. Painting is still ongoing so please draw up your curtains. Also be aure to engage your privacy lever and latch in your room. Housekeeping can be intrusive at times. Breakfast is pretty much the same however you would have to remind the ataff to bring your hot beverage as they bring you to your table. A major area to improve is the club lounge.

Look out for Mike who is the sup and offers great customer service. During evening periods, Guna at club lounge offers inconsistent service. Missing cutleries, plates left uncleared and slow refills even during off peak periods are some of the gripes.

In general, at both club lounge and at the breakfast area you would need to request your beverages repeatedly. Again your experience might be different from mine as the service standards are truly inconsistent.

A big thanks to Madeline (asst front office manager) and Lanise Loo. These two individuals made my stay wonderful.

Buffet breakfast and dinner is the best spread ever! Seriously awesome spread! Soooo many variety! Room overlooked the pool and pool area was very windy too

Excellent reception &receiving in front desk,in room service I am unable to get just hot coffee latte,it's poor understanding of room service people

Very nice hotel, clean spacious room, tasty food, friendly staff.

The only downside is the check in time. Got my room a little late as I believed it wasnt ready. But the staff is helpful and apologized. This is during peak period and I sort of understand. All in all a pleasant stay and will I return? Yes I would.

Very poor hotel. Ac did not work in room. The bed was the hardest bed I ve ever slept in. Was throughly disappointing.

Perfect sunset view with a glimpse of the pool. Room was great, nice table for business person, services was satisfied. Worth the stay.

Received very good services from Shahrul (driver) who had offered to send n pick me up from Aeon because it was raining. He was kind and helpful and also sent me to the Bus station and showed me d right bus lane. It would be good if all hotels could provide such efficient and helpful services.

Overall ok, but is ageing. Good breakfast buffet. A lot of shops nearby within walking distance.

I had a suprise birthday celebration for my mum. The staffs of BLD were so helpful to organise it for me. Special thanks to Ms Daya, Mr Fiqri, Ms Syima, Mr Jay, Mr Arif, Ms Aisyah and Mr Irsyad. Everything was so perfect. Even their birthday cake was so delicious.

Housekeeping service was good. Room was spacious.excellant buffet breakfast too. But the location of the hotel is too far from shopping area

Compare to all the five stars hotel in Johor Bahru, Renaissance hotel have the best breakfast.

Nice hotel! I love the interior and it feels really posh! Giving 4 stars because I'm not impressed with the buffet lunch. Sushi especially is quite dry and tasteless.

Currently I am staying here for 2 week period. The hotel is really very nice place to stay. All the staff are very polite. Room are spacious, bathroom is also good. TV channels have limited options. Nice view from the room. From my room I can see beautiful landscape and Singapore on the other side. Food quality in the restaurant is very good with lot of options in breakfast. I really like the place and it's really worthy to stay here.
