It was good! The location was accessible and the rooms were good.

Yes! One of the best hotel in JB. Price is low. Hotel room is clean and spacious. The amenities area the hotel is quite close as we have to walk throughout the shophouses. Look at my photos for some shops.

There are mini supermarket close at midnight, laundry shop (cheaper than hotel ) and it s just next to hotel. There are plenty of massage parlors, only one cafe we saw and close at midnight.

During midnight, no nice place to chill only left with food stalls without NO aircon.

The breakfast buffet that includes in the hotel stay is really worth it. As the shophouses nearby either opens late around 12pm or the food stall (it is cheap) opens early just selling local soup noodles etc but no aircon, it s your choice to choose.

Worst hotel ever.. Surrounding fill with prostitute joints pubs n club.. Carpet dusty.. Bedsheets linen full of dust mites.. Messy hotel.. 2 n last visit

Great Ambience and Minimalist Decoration, luxurious yet simple and clean.

Ok place. Building is bit old, bathroom isn't very neat, mold in shower, commode is yellow. Wifi connection is quite poor, and phone signal in the building is poor. Elevators still use card insert technique and often have miss reads then you miss your floor. Despite the issues, the hotel is convenient to shops, cafes and a shopping mall. Nice pool and a good gym. People are friendly and efficient. You can find a big range of nice food in the restaurant. Price is reasonable.

been there for break fast. So far from 3 hotel I'd been for break fast (Dble Tree, Ponderosa, Sangkar Kristal, Rennaisance), food served here is the best. *thumbs up* despite the arrangement is a bit chaotic.

Roomy and quiet but far from town. Food and amenities are just stone throw away.

Staff polite but service not up to scratch. Fridge in rm not wking. Did not change it or offer another rm. Shower rm door not able to lock. Fixed but broke agn.

Enjoyed my stay there. The hotel room is spacious and clean. I was lucky that there was an Pasar Malam going on over the weekend. The hotel is also located just next to Aeon shopping mall that is about 10 minutes walk away. Room service was very promptly too. Will visit again when opportunity arises.

Great breakfast. More than you expect. Rooms themselves are spacious and modern. Pool is pleasant big and deep. Ideal for exercising. Overall, the only hotel in JB not only 5 *, but this can really claim. By the way, behind the hotel there are many restaurants and also some pubs. The area is NOT secluded. Per Uber is also for less than 2 euros within 10 minutes in "Downtown JB". Will not book another hotel in JB. Top

Oh yeah. Nice beautiful hotel. Bought the membership here. Nice pool. Well equipped gym. Rooms are up to expectations. Restaurants serve an array of delectable dishes and the cofee house has varieties of cakes breads and desserts with coffee to choose from. I would recommend friends and families to stay here.

However, they really need to improve the services and quality of their restaurant (breakfast section); old plates looks unclean, table not proper set up after clean.

Had a pleasant stay, room size and room service is good.

Rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Food is very good. Staff service is commendable and efficient. Cotton buds/cotton balls should be replenished without having to ask for them.

A definite must go hotel...good services..hotel rates are reasonable and hotel rooms are comparatively big. Breakfast is superb with plenty of choices

Food selection was good. Maybe it is less crowded on weekdays.

Our stay was exceptional. The staff in supervisory position were there to please our every request. Nothing was too much trouble . even the chef went over and above the call of duty after i asked for a carrot juice for breakfast. There were none nearby so he went looking for some. And eventhough i got my juice nearly half an hour later i was very grateful that he went to so much trouble.
Food was excellent. Breakfast was amazing. There was so much variety to choose from.
Rooms were also great. They were a very good size and plenty of room to lounge around . pool was also big and there were plenty of cabanas to sit in.

Nice hotel with great eatery outlets & shopping mall nearby

Breakfast is really nice with such much variations and a spacious rooms. They have super friendly staff and good facilities room. If you are in Johor Bahru, either for leisure or work, this is a good choice for a stay near the hotspots area. You can just walk 3-5mins to get plenty of choices for foods and beverages, shopping, and some souvenirs. This place is super for one who wants to hunt down the street food in Johor Bahru.

My experience not good advertised as a fully non smoking hotel had to change rooms 3 times ti get away from guests smoking in other rooms finally the 3rd room had no odour of cig smoke.
I was also locked out of my original room when moving to the new room I then had to go to reception again to revalidate the key card to get in and move my luggage to the new room FRUSTRATING.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Only down point would be that the elite breakfast is rather bare.

Renaissance Hotel JB has a marvellous view of fireworks. We are staying hotel room 1711 which is the clubhouse. We can view the fireworks in all directions from our hotel room. The spectacular fireworks have brightened up the night sky. My family has cheered from top of our voice.

The club lounge is a great place for family gathering and we can even see the seagulls flying around.

We have reunion dinner at the restaurant, we re so surprised to receive a bag full of new year cookies from the housekeeping when we are back to the hotel.

We have a wonderful stay at Renaissance Hotel. Last but not least, we would like to thank the management and staff for the celebration of this festival season.

One of the better hotels in JB. Straight expressway to woodlands checkpoint. Nearby Aeon. Lots of food options nearby the hotel. Rooms are well appointed and spacious.

Everything was fine. Big room. Comfortable bed (not rock hard like you some times experience in SEA). Starts to run a little bit out of time. But in general, very good place to stay

Marriott operated hotel that is a bit out of place with this Township of Permas Jaya. Rooms are nice, well appointed but the food isn't good. The night time buffet is largely disappointing as the meats like beef and lamb is often not consistent in taste and quality. Even the Chinese style roast chicken and duck can't rival what you get nearby in more modest eating establishment. The service however is very good.

We went as a big group for retreat. Hotel is nice except alot of us had food poisoning

The hotel is okay, there is a swimming pool and breakfast is not bad either.
Nearby there are Korean restaurants, local restaurants, and similar stalls to late.

Good stay despite Pkpp although limited services/food choices

Although it is a bit far from Sentral, it is the top hotel in JB. I think that breakfast is very many and I get lost.
There were Hawker (Food Village), Family Mart, Massage Shop etc. behind the hotel and it was a good place to go out at night.

Went for my bestfriend wedding, the hall quiet big, easily accommodate 400-500 guests

One of the best steak i have ever had. The juicy & tenderness of the meat marvellous. Reckon to everyone!

I didn't really like the breakfast restaurant, there were flies at some of food sections which removed my appetite so I didn't bother to have breakfast there

The rooms were ok for Renaissance I guess I expected too much bcuz it is 5-star-hotel and doubletree by hilton johor bahru is 4-star-hotel I stayed at dtjb so I expect a better quality for everything.

I still do recommend here if you do not like city center,they provide a shuttle service to the city square and legoland and it is close to Aeon mall. There are also streetmarkets on every sunday right in front of the hotel,you should take a look.

Service was good. Staffswere attentive to guests' needs. Food for buffet dinner and breakfast was great. Only the location is out of the way.

Rooms are fantastic. The service was really good and the breakfast was good. Had a comfortable stay for a week. A lot of nice food around the hotel within walkable distance so you won't go hungry.

Absolutely the best stay if you just want to do nothing! Stayed at club floor so had drinks and a pretty good snack buffet from 17:30 to 19:30. After three gin tonics, I am a happy guest! The breakfast spread is really huge. Taste wise, it's average at best. However, Chef Arnold made breakfast special by engaging guests and being so helpful. Very rare in most Malaysian outlets where service staff while attentive are seldom forthcoming in engaging guests.

Room is large, and it is good if you can taste the local feeling of Malaysia safely!
There are also ions in front of you, and the location is so-so.

Decent hotel but not as good as some of the other Renaissance properties. Breakfast and dinner at the Chinese restaurant were quite good.

Cozy room and good environment.
Swimming pool is not very clean n slippery.
Red bean moon cake is the best from here.
Every sunday night is pasar malam night, just near by hotel. Also can enjoy yhe yummy food from UFO and lok lok just opposite from hotel.
