Relative brought us there for the dim sum lunch. Lunch hour very few customers there even it was saturday. Dim sum is generally good and up to standard but would not say as excellent, The fried carrot cake is highly recommended, superior taste and 'wok qi' that I think is the best that I ever ate in my life.

Staying 4 nights for a business trip. The carrot cheese cake in the cafe(forgot the name)was damn delish. So moist..full of walnut and less sweet.housekeeping was awesome too. Room is spacious. Too bad i forgot to take picture.
The Renaissance was superb, conveniently located right off the highway and easy to spot - just look for the big R! Hotel staff are friendly and the stay was comfortable. The breakfast at BLD wasn't that spectacular, may be a good idea to just head down and indulge in the nearby eateries

Good enough for a 4D3N stay. Nearby with lots of eateries. Complimentary car park for hotel guests. It would be better if the Club Lounge can close later like slightly before midnight. For a Club Room, it would have been good to provide an additional piece of bath towel rather than the usual 2 pcs per room. Gym equipment looks super new .
Overall still a good stay except that little touches will further enhance the rating of the hotel being part of Marriott chain. I have revised to 4* as I like the fact that the hotel responded to my review. Thumbs up!
I had a three days two nights retreat at the hotel. It was good as the staff there were friendly and helpful. Yet, the cafe staff was slightly impatient when my friends were not able to give her the order immediately. This could be improved. Keep it up!

I've been here for a few times for business, and decided it was time to strike it out on my own and bring my wife down for her birthday weekend. And the hotel didn't disappoint! Booking was a breeze, parking was a breeze, the staff were friendly and helpful (even arranging a slice of cake to be delivered at midnight for her birthday).
A tip for drivers parking here: when you get your ticket validated by the hotel staff when you check out, you still need to put the card into the parking ticket machine to affirm the validation. Otherwise, you'll be stuck at the exit gantry!

A hotel will match it's star rating. A RM290 room fitting 4 person with two queen bed. Worth it.
Tried the breakfast buffet this morning, Rm58 for non guest, with the varieties offered, I rate it a 4 stars.

I stayed here twice and I thought it is one of the best hotels in JB. However, I think it should be on the same par as KSL and Holiday Villa. Both rooms (before and after room change) during my third stay have this stench of cigarette smell. Even though the staff said that it is the smell of carpet and air freshener, I do not believe it. I do not smell it during my first 2 visits and in most hotels in other countries. Please advise if you know of any better hotels in JB that do not have cigarette smell so that I can stay there next time.
Good hotel, with good service and all, however the location is kind of far from any tourist spots.
Location quite near to Woodlands custom. Have few restaurants and Aeon as well. Room is old but clean. Few PowerPoint and hair dryer is not working.

booked the Junior Suite at Renaissance. the room was very elegant and spacious. the toilet was the most amazing part of the room as we can see a view while chilling athm the bath tub. breakfast buffet was very delicious and the service given was good. would come back again
Five-star hotel is different, clean and comfortable.....
Noisy. Have been staying with Marriott for a long time. Room, styling, comfort of bed, cleanliness etc are like typical Marriott. Just 2 things that was different. One I didn't get the room type I wanted/booked. 2 I could hear deep freq noise (like machine's hum) when sleep sideways, ear on pillow. If I sleep face up the room is quiet. Unfortunately I always sleep sideways. This leads to me not able to sleep well for this trip and since just one night there I didn't get to test out other rooms. Will not choose this property in future. First time ever encounter such problem and I do travel quite a bit.

The rooms were great, 5 stars. Bathrooms felt a bit older with mouldy grout and sealant. The service was fantastic! And the breakfast spread had great selection, a mix of fresh and preserved juices, but a very busy area. Very busy, that we sat outside the restaurant which was even more pleasant that being inside. Overall great!

This hotel is showing it's age. The rooms are adequate but no more. The gym is quite modest at best. Maybe this is standard for hotels in this part of the world.

Room was spacious and comfortable and there is a wide choice of food for breakfast. Overall we had a a pleasant experience with the hotel with the only downside being the slightly out of the way location.
