Huge and has everything. Got lost in the woods trying to find the entrance from the parking structure. Not to worry though, the light from the campfire let us to the door.

Great service. Great products. A little pricey, but if you factor in the member discount and warranty service, it's worth it.

If you can make it through in less than 1 hour, parking in the REI garage is free. Great selection of higher end outdoor gear. Most of the shoes are cheaper online though.

The best thing about REI is the knowledge of the staff; they ve actually used the products and are outdoorsy and can make recommendations tailored to your needs. The downside is that REI almost never has your sizes except when you order online (which is easy to do and I highly recommend). Their shoe selection is top notch from trail running to street running, so is their food selection. Some of their camping cooking gear while being an extensive selection is only useful if you re glamping or have an RV. Very very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

A wonderful place to poke around and shop. But good luck finding some help in the shoe department! They do their best but it's just too many people. So make sure you aren't in a hurry.

The pinnacle. Despite what REI may have become in the obsessed marketing era, this store is truly amazing and a relic of Seattle. Climbing wall, rain room, outdoor trails....great!

Awesome place to go if your in need of camping supplies, backpacks, hiking shoes, pretty much any type of out door items. Great service there too, nice people.

This is REI's flagship store and it doesn't disappoint.
We spent 2 hours walking around after the garage sale and it was fantastic!

Huge REI! Lots of sports represented - biking, climbing, backpacking, skiing, etc. Large clearance area and even a selection of returns for discounted resale. Plenty of parking in a garage, but not always free.

A bit expensive but extremely high quality of goods.

I love this store. Parking can be intimidating during rush hours and sales.

Can get yourself in a lot of trouble at this place. And by trouble I mean debt ! Love REI. I wish they also sold hunting accessories.

I love this REI store. The staff is friendly and helpful. The women that work in the shoe department are very patient and despite being ridiculously busy, they manage to remember shoe sizes and styles for multiple customers at the same time. The store is huge and the staff is friendly and doesn't treat you like you're a criminal once you walk in the store like they do in Portland or Eugene. Love this place!

With a 30 foot rock wall and all the outdoor gear that you could ever want. This is a great place to go for not only entertainment but supplies for getting away from everyone it meets all your needs.

Visited the DT REI Sunday 8-09-20. If you go during Covid, prepare to wait in line to get in. We waited about 15 min. You must enter on the south east corner. Not the usual main entrance. Plenty of hand sanitizer at the entrance and the staff announces what is sold out (lots of things in hiking and camping). Bring your own socks if planning to try on footwear. I found that the best thing to do is shop online and pick up at the store if you want to avoid shipping charges. That way you don't waste a trip and find what you are looking for is sold out (like me).

A northwest institution that advocates for a healthy awareness of nature. They offer something for everyone to get out and experience our local Northwest environment. People are healthier when they spend time in green spaces and of course a healthy environment is essential for our human livelihood on earth.

Great service staff at the bicycle section.
The remaining sales staff were obviously very frustrated by the senseless store policies (like no touching shoes before making a selection), and very sparse inventory. We were repeatedly advised to shop online in order to find correct items or proper sizes.
Very long line to get in, along with empty shelves made our visit disappointing.

Big store with some cool trails around the outside to test out your bike or hiking shoes. Reminded me of LL Bean store in Maine.

3 stars based entirely upon their selection of sleeping bags which I was thoroughly disappointed in for a flagship REI. They did not have much variety in the 0 degree down range at all! Also, the store in SLC has a piece of paper with all bags and their stats listed so you can quickly narrow your search. This REI had no such convenience.

The store is huge but so is their oversight on sleeping bag selection.

Very poor customer service in the shoe section. It started ok, I approached someone for some help and the response was fast. Gradually, the service started to turn really slow until the point where the guy disappeared with no notice at all. I asked a girl for some help but did not make the follow up and she disappeared too. I made my purchase and went out of the store with many questions about the product (because it was an urgent need) and wondering what had happened...

The REI flagship store is the epitome of an outdoor recreational store! And, it definitely scream ms the North West. I can t believe this place has an outdoor mountain bike testing course on site. Where else would you go to buy a serious mountain bike? The selection here is incredible, even better than MEC. That being said some regular priced items are still a bit cheaper at MEC even with the exchange rate. But sale items are amazing and did I mention the selection. It s just even fun to peruse items for my wish list.

Excellent store even in these interesting shopping times. Had a very efficient in and out for social distancing and staff available to help.

Beyond the great service and range of products available, this store is amazingly beautiful. It feels like being in the middle of the woods and not downtown Seattle, with plenty of green, trees and even a small waterfall.

Huge store, good selection, helpful staff, nice warehouse sale but you will be lucky to find your size or what you are looking for. Their rentals are great.

This company still does great work in terms of stewardship of the outdoors and their customer service is generally great, but it seems like each year this store becomes more of a high end fashion retailer.

Largedt REI outlet in Greater Seattle Area. Has the most variety as well.

It is easy to rent a tent and a backpack for the week-end. Pick up and bring back days are free.

Incredible store!! My girlfriend and I don t really enjoy shopping all that much, but this store is an exception. They make it a whole outdoor experience - it s not even close to your average store. We happened to be there during their biggest sale of the year which certainly didn t help restrain us from buying things. Don t miss the opportunity to come here if you re even just a little bit outdoorsy. Did we walk away as new REI members? Maybe.

REI really really needs to rethink it's checkout lines. They are long and super inefficient. The new " two trails merge into one" is totally ineffective. There is an inherent problem when I can buy something and check out online quicker than the time it takes me to move through the in-store checkout line. This has been a systemic problem for years so I'm guessing the corporate culture is not open to admitting mistakes. And if so, certainly not progressive in terms of continuous improvement and thinking big.( My two cents). If you would like to avoid long lines and not so great customer service, I would suggest getting there early, ideally as soon as the store opens.

Used their curbside pickup service to get our kayaks today. Excellent service.

The staff here are great and the selection is always on point. Be sure to take advantage of the clearance section upstairs and the second hand clearance which is behind the kids play area. Good deals to be had!

Great store, and decent prices if you're a member (which you should be). Sometimes gets very crowded though.

One of the coolest stores I've walked through. Bought a nice jacket on sale so I could walk to Pike Place Market without getting rained on. To get the full experience, park in the parking garage. You'll love it.

I've been a member of REI since the early 80's, and I still love this store. If you are the adventurist of heart, mind, and body, this is the place for you. The staff at this store were extremely friendly, courteous, and professional in their actions and manner.

One of the largest REI's with lots of helpful staff and all REI stores have a 1 year return policy. One of my favorite places to get camping, hiking, and outdoor gear.

Two different customer service encounters were unpleasant.

Good selection, but not much for at 28 inch waist and very small selection of women's underwear. Very interesting structure.

Took only 20 minutes to get in the store on a Sunday which was a pleasant surprise. Once inside it was not crowded and there was plenty of help to answer my questions. They had in stock what I wanted which made my day. All in all a very pleasant experience.

The flagship REI store. I've loved REI since i was a kid, and it was great to go here. They have so many things a normal REI store does not have, in addition to it being the prettiest REI iIve ever seen. If you like outdoor stores this REI is the best place ever.

The flagship store is great! It's huge and has a ton of selection. Most of the employees are really nice and want to help you out. It's great how they'll fit you with packs here. They have tents on the floor a lot of the time so you can see what they are like set up. They have a bunch of gear they rent out too, including bear canisters, mountaineering boots, crampons, and ice axes. When you rent, you get the day before and the day after you rent (technically for pick-up and drop-off), but since you can pick up and return at any time (as long as the store is open), you essentially get 3 days for the price of 1. Plenty of parking and fitting rooms. Prices can be a little high, but the amazing return policy keeps me coming back.

Fubar'd my tire riding over a screw. Picked up a new Gatorskin 32mm for my commuter at the recommendation of the shop guys. Friendly & knowledgeable.

Overall, a good place for outdoor gear. Their shoe dept. is always grossly understaffed and it is hard to get any service. I've had to walk away too many times.

There's a Seattle legend REI used to be on Capitol Hill and once a year they would have a sale that would bring people from all over the lines were legendary well fast forward 45 years now there nation wide the seattle store is amazing they have different train so you can test your shoes before you buy them they have an indoor rock climbing wall I imagine even have a place where you can test your off road bicycle but bring plenty of time and plenty of money because they're not cheap

Odor: medium strength urine smell

Stall door latch: robust, functioned well

Toilet condition: structurally sound, some graffiti carved into the seat though. Auto flush was not working.

Cleanliness: good for a very busy bathroom

Lighting: well lit

Overall: 4/7 acceptable

Bike area folks are super nice and helpful. They have lots of patience with my many questions and seem to have lots of practical experience.

This store in particular has outfitted me with just about all of my gear. I trust in the staffs' expertise, and always feel that they take genuine care and concern for their customers interests and safety.

This is like the REI theme park. This is a flagship store that is worthy of the flagship designation! I bring anybody who's remotely interested in the outdoors here. It's easy to feel like an enthusiast when you're inside this REI playground.
