Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The food is excellent, but we should have been allowed to draw attention to the fact that our compilation means a plethora of onion strips. We would not have ordered a mountain for starters if we had realized that all the main courses once again had a heap on them.

This place is okay at best everybody down in Carson Raves about it but I simply think it's because they've never had really good barbecue the service wasn't even all that great

We had to wait to be seated, it gets busy on the weekends. The beer choices were fantastic and the brisket was excellent. Service was very good.

My dad took myself and my 3 y/o son out to dinner here at Red's tonight... And it was the most amazing food!!! I'm stunned! I used to work there 10 yrs ago, when I was 20, but I had never actually gone out to dinner there. OMG, I was missing out! My son had the kids menu Pepperoni Pizza and it was hands down the best pizza I've ever tried! The crust was so delicious and the sauce was definitely cooked from scratch and so good! I had the Wood Fired Salmon, with Au Grauten potatoes and broccoli, and it was BY FAR the best salmon I've ever eaten!!! And I just moved back from living in Alaska for 6 yrs!!! It was crispy and buttery on the outside and melted like butter in my mouth! I also had a Whiskey Sour from the bar that was made perfectly!!
I had to make a reservation the night before to get a table because they're so busy, but it beats waiting in the long line we passed while leaving. It was pretty pricey, so we won't be back every weekend, but we will most definitely be back! Thanks Red's for a fantastic night!

Good BBQ, Service was warm and friendly. Will certainly return again. Parking is a small problem but not too bad.

Good food, good service, cold beer. Great place and always worth the trip from Sparks to visit.

Had to wait almost 40 minutes to get a table..... and it was worth every minute!! Meal was amazing, waiter Hugo was just the right amount of attentive and super friendly. Hat's off to Red's for being one of the high lights of our trip to Carson City!

It looks like a Disney-esque joke/nightmare from the parking lot. The interior only reinforces your skepticism and fear. The brisket will set you free. The atmosphere must be intended to lower expectations. Then the great food makes one question basic assumptions about kitchiness.

I had never been to the restaurant.. but i was glad we went.. i would recommend it to anyone visiting Carson city...

This place is great for families or just meeting for a ice cold beer. The food is not my favorite but if you don't stick to the basics you will be fine

AVOID This Place!!! Very poor service, low grade food and very small portions with very high prices. Waitress's are very un-attentive and the entire operation is horribly under staffed for the volume of tourists it gets. I will never return.

This is the coolest place in Carson City. The food is great and reasonably priced. There are old wagons hanging off the ceiling. Absolutely crazy. You will love this place.

If you are in the area, the best BBQ, atmosphere and friendly staff. As we drive to Ca a couple of times a year, we always stop there and have a great meal inside and out

I am a Carson City resident and have been going to Red's on a regular basis since they opened 20 odd years ago. It was always one of our favorite spots for taking guests. We also enjoyed their happy hour and considered it one of the best in Carson City. In the last few months, however the quality of service, food, and cleanliness have suffered. I thought I would write an email to Red's from their website to convey my observations but Red's website will not allow me to contact the business. It appears the website payment may not have been made appropriately. Another sign of change of some kind going on in ownership/management? Tonight my wife and I ordered salads and pizza and received wilted brown lettuce in the salad. The pizza dough was not fully cooked. I waited an inordinate amount of time for my beer after the initial order and my wife got up and went to the bar to get beer because our server failed to acknowledge us. The men's restroom was appropriately cleaned but my wife commented on the filthy nature of the women's restroom and noted it has been in that condition the last two times she's been there. I have taken photographs to document the food quality and lack of cleanliness. We really enjoy the atmosphere but the place hasn't been dusted/cleaned appropriately and the fans might as well be considered a motorized dust collection system as they are caked with dust. Again, I would have made my observations known directly to the restaurant management/owners and spared the public review if I could but decided to post a review on Google since direct contact has been made unavailable. I will give them another chance but I'm starting to lose hope in their ability to make Red's what it used to be and could be again.

Nice atmosphere and food was okay but not great. I will try it again and see they do a better job.

Our female server was super knowledgable about gluten free options and cross contamination etc. We were more than stoked and we were surprisingly very satisfied with our steaks with Gorgonzola butter sauce. The mashed potatoes could have had more flavor and the carrots/green beans could have been sauteed with a little seasoning but other than that no complaints. If you like medium rare you might want to ask for rare. Great service from our waitress but there were 3 to 4 people at the host station that were just standing around not greeting people, only one hostess was actually doing anything.

Great beer selection but we are both GF so we were beyond happy to see the most extensive ANd affordable tequila selection ever. Great salad dressing too!!!

Your food is absolutely delicious and needs no attention. Your host staff however are some of the rudest ladies I have ever dealt with. I understand that the food service industry has its good days and bad, but would it kill them to smile and treat guests like guests not problems.

Unfortunately the food and the wait to get the food wasnt worth ever going back.
The artichoke dip would be better labeled soup.
My steak was the Ribeye MR and it was so tough I couldn't eat most of it.
Maybe go for a drink at the nice bar but don't go for dinner.

The place and the decoration are charming and rustic, a picturesque place in the style of a cowboy, with trolleys on the roof and the log tables, give a cozy feeling, it is ideal for large families as the menu is varied and for all tastes, Food is good I recommend the smoked ribs, it has convenient parking and easy access, its staff is friendly friendly and fast. It was really a good experience.

Fun atmosphere, really good food, large portions (our visit was at dinner time), and good prices. It was even more fun since we happened to be there Friday night when their in-house magician was there. Well done!

What a neat place. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and so much cool stuff to look at. I would have given it 5 stars but our wood fired salmon was only ok for the price we paid for it. My other family who got burgers were very happy though.
