This hotel is really average, and frankly I expected better. The wifi is just terrible, under 2 Mbps, and the bed I had was not firm and slanted so it felt like you were not stable. Everything is fairly well appointed, although there is no bathtub. There is a nice restaurant and it is central to the convention center. I stayed at Ruby River before, a more affordable place, and overall that was much better.

Wouldn t recommend staying here, as you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere. The rooms were mediocre, although the beds were very comfortable. I agree with the other reviews saying that the pool isn t worth it- not only is there no hot tub, but the kiddie section of the pool is FILTHY which made it our group reluctant to even swim in the rest of the pool. There is no breakfast, although when I called to initially inquire about the room/hotel I was told there was. I was also told that I would be paying $201 total for the room, but ended up paying around $245. I was not initially informed of half of the fees they ended up charging. Booking staff wasn t the friendliest. Will be staying elsewhere next time.

My stay was in the middle of their remodel ( I believe they have been remodeling for years). They forgot to replace the old heater in my room as it sounded like a diesel truck. I had to walk out in the snow to get to and from their fitness center. There are no in-room safes. Staff was friendly though and I'm sure, once the remodel is finally complete, my rating could possibly be a 4 (especially if they replace the old in-room heaters and install in-room safes).

Our bicycles along with 3 others were stolen overnight while parked in their parking lot. Was told they have 24 hour security that constantly roams. Never leave anything out in that part of town per a local.

The drinks were excellent, the BBQ Brisket was otherworldly good. Stayed here for the 4th of July celebration. Only complaint is how crowded it was, but given the circumstances, I can't blame RL for that. They got rid of cots, however, now that I think about it, which was inconvenient for the five of us in one room - three adults and two children. One of us had to sleep on the floor. Everything else was pretty great, though.

Hipster hotel. Definitely aimed at the younger generation. Live music in the lobby.
Check in was at 3. We arrived at 3:40 and were told that we had to wait another hour because our room want clean. There was no sign to tell you where to check in, there was just a girl, standing at a table with a purse and Ipad.
When we got to our room, it was very small, the wall heater was on the fritz and was set to 65 but the heater just continued to run. Our door also didn't latch when it shut so we had to push it shut and make sure it was latched.
Breakfast was included with our room package. In the morning we had to ask where to get our breakfast at, they told but the buffet was a room in the back, but when we got there a guy told us that there was a large party that was having breakfast and that he didn't think we would be able to the buffet. There were about 4 people in there.

Amazing beds. You will want to buy one if you stay. Clean rooms, newly remodeled, looks beautiful. Location can't be beat. Right on Riverfront Park so restaurants, shopping and bars are all close. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant. Gonzaga University is also easily within walking distance. Service was always friendly and caring and quick.

I really liked the look of the hotel; it was recently updated and is pretty modern in the main lobby area. The people working at the front lobby were also very nice and helpful. My own room was clean when I arrived, and I requested to not have the cleaning staff in my room. However, other people attending the conference were in wings of the hotel that were not updated. Their experience was much worse than mine. Garbages were left full, shampoo was taken away and never replaced, bills were not accurate, and so on. So, it really just depends on where your room is, it seems. Also, the area for the conference I was attending was poor. The rooms were way too small to accommodate all of us... Dozens of people left standing throughout our literally sitting in the floors in between the aisles. And the technology was spotty at best throughout, so that made a lot of the sessions frustrating because the info we needed couldn't be displayed well or at all. So overall, it's hard to fully recommend RL. I personally didn't have issues other than cramped conference rooms, but many of my colleagues were very disappointed. Good luck on getting put in the "good wing" if you go!

For a large complex in Downtown Spokane, I find this hotel, a large Motel 6 wt meet and greet remote control staff, each one very nice and professional, but seem out of place for the complex. The room's queen bed was fine, the TV Hi-def Direct TV sourced. But the standard cheap walled thru airconditioner had thermostat problems...making the room somewhat stuffy. (I like a slightly chilly room to breath in, with allergies...The Bathroom had two major flaws on this 5th floor top center section, just above 2nd Floor desk. The sink drain stopper wasn't hooked up, and the tube drain was slow, although it did have a non-stop mat inside but not hanging on the side...How much mold was on the underside I didn't dare pull up! The level of water with a good shower head and avg 10yr tub with chips and rust edges had over 2-3inches of water. I NOW suffer from Athletes' foot Toe and Nail fungus , which under treatment, has NOT BEEN healed yet, thanks to others using that tub! I NOW will check all drains before I shower or check room...If they run high, I will ask for draino cleaning or get my own! I heavily Lysol sprayed the tub after I finished to kill my contribution to the tubs bacteria and mentioned the faults to the staff at check out. Although it was a four nite stay, they had huge facility, high priced breakfast, weird menu, good bar, and LIVE STAGE performances wt folk and Loud Rock bands different every day. Do not get a room in the central areas...look for the distant tower buildings where the pilots stay in south building complex... No mini store or even selection for toiletries area...Vending machines on far away locations from the central hotel area. Bad. Two pools. One indoor on floor 2 and 1 larger outside on Main floor (2) also. Staff was attentive in front house, but foreign house staff, has language problems to understand your needs. Contact housekeeping to request your needs. The robot staff will deliver it. If you need something communicate with desk to request your items needs or House keeping. Refrig. and Microwave worked properly. I was expecting Double Tree or even Holiday Inn quality... I got Motel 6 ++. My room got charge $9 a day for parking which was removed for my special groups' stay, with nary a whimper. Thank you staff for your attentiveness, boo on your company's lay-out of a possible outstanding place but came up short. How many other rooms not checked out for my items above and the sterile Dorm room look that is 10yrs behind?
Suggest the owners stay at competition nearby and take notes, included newly refurbished Holiday Inn up the road where I stayed in 2014 and had a great room then and better looking now! No restaurant but I Bet that morning breakfast is quite fulfilling!

I never ate in the on-site resturant, but did have 1 banquet dinner of a very dry but ok looking prime rib end! I had to request au ju received half-way thru finishing it, servers almost ignoring the ask, and the salad I never got served anyway!, (allergic to the leafy/weed greens anyway). Dessert was a strawberry /banana cake piece about the size of a small brownie, but saw pieces of Cheese cake later that were good size delivered to several in our banquet. Did they run out of cake?...I didn't ask. Cash bar attentive and served with distinction with what we ordered...
Would I go back?...yeah, if they redesigned the whole place! And leave the pretty staff members. I've become very picky, and even more so with BW upgrade demands of their hotels. They are giving their competition a run for the money. (Holiday Inn/Express, Double Tree, & Others in the mid to up grade. 5star hotels still higher but oh so costly. This place...just a shade above a Motel 6, but they do leave the light on...

Nice place with recent renovations and a great location but I left disappointed. Obviously no pool because of Covid. The 12 $ park fee felt ridiculous during such a slow time. Also no free coffee or breakfast of anykind. Already the value is going down.

While the room was nice, the lack of hot water in the morning was a big disappointment. After calling front desk I got no response until I checked out. No offer was given for a discount until I asked for one.

Is 130 dollars for a room with no free breakfast, no pool, no hot water, and pay parking a good deal? You decide.

I would stay here again but not in the same room. Too too small, there was no place to sit if we wanted to come back to the room to relax, other than the bed. We had to rearrange a furniture so my husband could walk on his side of the bed. The shower is not great, you have to walk in it to turn it on and stand there till the cold water turns warm. The floor gets really slippery and the soap pumps dont have long enough pumps so the soap runs down the bottle.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, exercise room better than most hotel I seen. Only reason I give it 3 stars: ask for a room as far away from the bar as possible if your not a night owl or want to go to bed early cause you need to get going earlier the next day. The window in my room faced the bar and they played live music till 11pm. I needed to get up by 5am. Worst night in a hotel ever.

I went to hotel RL to look at the gingerbread house. I was very pleased with the style of the layout. Hotel RL had a large projector with the football game playing. It was decorated very well for the holidays.

We enjoyed our stay immensely at the RL! Everything was clean, wonderful service and friendly staff. The only I gave it 4 stars was because the red lion hello rewards site was having major issues and it took us longer than we had hoped it would, thus cutting into our pool time lol. All in all it was a very positive experience.

As a first time visitor to Spokane and part of tour group we began our trip to Glacier National Park staying at Hotel RL. Shortly after check-in we were pleasantly surprised to learn we could walk out back door to the Riverfront Park and experience some of the best of Spokane. Yet the purpose of this review and high rating rested on an exceptional act of integrity when our waitress (I think Hanna) recovered my credit card and secured until our return seven days later in a secured locked register. I was told that is the protocol of the hotel to secure lost credit cards for guests. We all know that should be the policy but it is up to the integrity of employees to ensure the policy is followed. It didn't surprise me with our waitress because she was very friendly and proficient in her work. More importantly, she proved an exceptional ambassador for a first time traveler to Spokane in pointing out what we should visit while taking the walk in the Park and city. So much could be said about our short visit to Spokane because of another incident that occurred with my wife outside the hotel that left my wife and I pleased we experienced Spokane.

I was an overnight guest going to a concert at the Arena nearby. The hotel was very accommodating with a free shuttle to and from the Arena and their bar and grill was very good and quick despite the crowd.

Fake fancy hotel, things looked nice but had poor function. Thin walls, could hear people two doors down. Teenagers were running down the Halls yelling and slamming doors all night. I know it's not their job to babysit but they should be aware of noisy guests. Food was overpriced and mediocre with no room service, pick up only. The best thing was the view of the dam from the dining

Room was clean. Beds were not that comfortable, mattress topper was lumpy. It was close to the river park. And they charge 12.00 a day to park. In an open parking lot. Not secure no gate, and downtown you need that. If you pay that much at least parking should be included..

Friends of mine came from out of town and arrived very late in Spokane Washington. Everything was booked because there was a concert in town. We came to the Centennial Hotel and were gratified to find out if they have rooms even knowing one of the reviews seemed pretty negative ... we decided to take a chance wow what a great place it s been newly upgraded and decorated new management it was clean and fun and had a very good vibe. It s perfectly located for out-of-town Visitors And even Spokies....because you can walk anywhere in downtown Spokane. We were treated very well by the hotel staff Justin, Brittany,Sil and McKenna And Candans in the coffee bar was excellent. Your wish is their command!

Rooms are clean and somewhat updated. Hotel bar area is great, not your typical gloomy depressing hotel bar. They have done a great job on their remodeling, and the staff and super friendly. Housekeeping needs some work. I stayed for 4 nights and they never restocked my cups.

This was our 3rd year coming to Spokane and staying at the Red Lion for the 4th of July. Check in time was suppose to be at 3pm. We didn't get in our room until 5pm. We requested a room facing the pool. We got a room facing the parking lot. Get This! They now charge $9 a day to park! Unbelievable!
They remodeled which was very nice, but their customer service was off this year.

I look for 3 things from hotels: clean, quiet and dark. This was not particularly clean; was not quiet (room faced the atrium); was not dark, with ill fitting shades. The gap under the door was large enough that when someone outside dropped their pen, it slid under the door into our room. Rooms are advertised as having "kitchens", but ours had only a small fridge and microwave.
Had only 1 bath towel for a room with queen bed. Other guests staying there for our conference had no bath towels. On the bright side, when they brought additional towels, they were excellent, large and thick. Also, the bathroom tissue was better than many hotels I've stayed at.

The room was ok no washcloths in bathroom. Also my reservation came with breakfast included for 15.00 more. Beware!!! Check your bill for charges that don't belong to you! My credit card was charged 73.00 worth of food on my account by mistake. I was told I have to wait 3-5 days for my refund. I was told that was charged on my account. My husband and I ate only breakfast that was already paid for! Last but not least the housekeeper kept knocking on the door! No rest! Not impressed.

I was visiting a friend of mine and The nite shift was confronted with a early morning fire in the downstairs kitchen. The building was evacuated and a quick and timely manner. SPOKANE finest [ FIRE department ] responded from the downtown station. At witch time the situation was under control. None of the hotel guest was in any danger.
