Efficient airport. Decently located. There are quite a few places to eat, a lot of vendors, etc. Also, a surpisingly large number of seats to wait for your flight. However, there is a lot of stuff packed into a small space, making it hard to move. The restrooms are also very small, making for large lines.

Great airport! Arrival was awesome as easy. I had to use a cane & was limping that entire trip. On my way back home. The staff there were again very kind and helpful. While one lovely female staff member assisted with getting print tix when my app failed, another young man on staff ran to get a wheelchair to get me to my gate safe and quickly!! It really was a heartwarming experience after a tough trip. Thank you.

Customer service and TSA need to work in their communication with each other! Both told me 2 completely different information which is annoying when they transfer the call and no one knows what the other is talking about, which is crazy cause they are suppose to be helping me. Need to work better as a team.

horrible! was targeted by TSA because i'm colored and indian. not even my finance who is black was being harassed just me.. TSA was rude and unprofessional.. i will never fly American or be back in this city.. its the capital.. and to have rude people handle you without care is just awful. stop being racist for once..

Great airport to fly out of. Had a flight to Naples from here, and everything was very smooth. We found places to eat, kind TSA workers and security guards, and easy boarding. Overall a good place.

We flew into Ronald Reagan during our trip to DC and it was perfect.
The airport was pretty empty. Getting in and out was fairly easy.

I love that it wasn't crowded and the TSA line was not long at all.
We stayed at Holiday Inn-Capitol Hill and it was a 10 minute drive.

Connecting flights in the AM. Everything is pretty much in lock down. Not too many options for food or drinks. Pretty deserted. I've been here before, the virus has taken the life of this fun and familiar Airport.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here for a number of reasons. they delayed my flight. the lights have been flickering. they changed the terminal last minute, they are unorganized and bus drives are uninformative and rude. I wanted to have good things to say about this airport but I'm deeply disappointed. I'm afraid I'm never gonna get home or get my luggage. :((

Want to be confused and in a place with no signage? Well then come to this airport! You'll be wandering for ages looking for a way to change terminals, only to find you have to exit security and go back in again, after a five mile walk of course.
At least the people are nice. That kiiind of makes up for the terrible design and layout, stupid food aisles clogging the terminal hallway, and the...no. No it doesn't.
Plus the my broke my husband's wallet.
If you can avoid this idiocy, do.

Pretty standard airport. Terminal A is pretty lame (it only has a few gates, amd thus has only a couple food options). Terminals B/C have more food options, but they're all pretty mediocre - nothing that really tempts me to eat at unless I'm just looking to fill up before the flight. They should also do more to highlight the airport's history.

Four stars because it has it's own Metro stop, which is a big deal for those without cars, like myself.

This airport has on site access to metro, the fastest way to get into the city. There is a good variety of airlines represented. Security lines are usually fast. The terminal doesn t have the best layout but it is adequate.

My terminal was so packed with people and nowhere to sit. I know that happens everywhere but trust me this was worse than "normal". They have buses heading out to airplanes. After on the runway I'm told I have to wait over 30 minutes because air traffic. It's been awful.

Hated this airport. Almost missed my connecting flight........no shuttle bus provided to go to the connecting terminal. Went to the TSA officers to get help and the 2 I talked to (James and Boone) were unsympathetic and rude told me to complain to America.

Convenient to my office in downtown Washington. Accessible by subway (to avoid rush hour traffic) and 15-20 mins away from my home via Rock Creek Parkway. BUT as a native Washingtonian it will always be Washington National to me; the current name prohibits me from rating it 5 star.

Most unorganized unhelpful staff at an airport I have ever experienced. Boarding at gate35X was utter chaos. Flight staff talking over one another and passengers by nching up because they couldn't understand any directions from the staff and people missing their flights. Horrible experience

I've flown out of this airport several times over the past few years, and surprisingly, it's always been a good experience (airline-specific encounters aside). Security is pretty fast, and I've always found the terminals large enough to accommodate everyone waiting. I think one of the coolest things about this airport is taking a trek to terminal A. From what I remember, there's a cool history display along with some pretty nice views of the field.

Totally overcrowded, surly staff, and now for some flights you have to ride a bus to and from your plane. That means you have to wait for everyone to deplane before getting stuffed into a too-small bus for a ride to the terminal. Terrible.

The airport itself isn t too bad. But the TSA security in Terminal A needs to get it together. I had a 6:50AM flight, and I arrived at the checkpoint at 5:50am to find a huge line going all the way out to the ticketing counters. People had been lining up for over an hour. Then I noticed the line wasn t moving a single person and no one was getting in except for TSA precheck passengers. They never opened and started getting people through the standard security checkpoint for non- TSA precheck until after 6:15! With all the people ahead of me, I barely made it to my plane. All I can figure is they are really trying to make it so difficult for occasional passengers that everyone gets frustrated and pays for TSA pre-check.

Arrived at Reagan national at about 8 pm. There were no signs showing me how to get down one floor in order to get a taxi. Tried going to the right. Parking garage. Finally asked a Metro staff person. Had to go to the left, enter the terminal and then go down one flight. It was difficult to figure out how to have a family member pick me up at the airport.

Oh, how I love DCA. As a DC native of 8 years, DCA is hand down the best airport in the DC area. You can hop on the Yellow/Blue line and get off seconds from the check-in area. The architecture is beautiful and they have many pre and post check-in restaurants. In fact, one restaurant let my wife and I host our engagement party on their second floor so we could watch the planes land (We were flying in from Charleston so an airport party made sense; and we love to travel and love airports). DCA makes you feel like you belong in DC. Now only if they had international flights...

Nice airport on the way out. Walked off the plane, down a short corridor and right out onto the street. I wonder what it's like during busier times (still in the middle of covid slowdown right now) or when checking-in and departing.

It is so nice having an airport accessible by Metro. It is also one of the more gorgeous airports I have ever visited. Food options are solid and the security lines are never awful. Being so close to DC, getting here is the real selling point of Reagan.

This airport is closer than IAD buy don't expect to actually save time. Security is slow, there is always runway traffic (normally queues are 30-45 min for takeoff)...for a major airport you'd figure they'd know what they're doing but it's so clearly not the case. I'll stick to IAD henceforth. I've hard more efficient service in banana republics.

Not the easiest to depart. It is always chaotic. But Southwest at terminal A is the least painful of the airlines departure process. Their baggage claim folk are kind of salty, not what you expect from SWA.

My favorite airport for travel to DC. Even though there is some ongoing construction, metro access is still pretty easy. The relatively small size makes it easy to navigate and it has some good restaurants if you are hungry.

This airport requires you to walk a long ways...everyone enters on one end and have to walk clear across the long structure...esp if your airline is at the very end. If you're in a hurry, better walk very, very fast. There's also lack of restaurants or dining areas with tables/chairs to sit down, eat, and do work on the laptop before having to fly out. It's a very busy airport so there's always a huge crowd and no proper visible signs to direct you to the proper entrance line until you get closer to it. My first time at this airport, I was standing in line about 100 feet away from the main entrance. Upon getting closer, realized I was in the wrong line...had to jump on the end of another line of people, and that was with a TSA Precheck!

It s broken into different sections so you re limited to what s available to you in your terminal, very limited food options. Normally crowded and little to no seating available. Birds inside. Not recommended

This is one of my favorite airports. Super convenient to reach since it's on two metro lines and the wait time for security is never over 30 minutes, usually around 10-15 minutes. The waiting areas around the gates are comfy, there are charging stations for your phone, there are many restrooms and also a lot of places where you can eat/have a drink. It's truly a very convenient airport!

There are too few electrical outlets for most of us who rely on charging stations for our laptops and other devices. Why not take the empty former pay phone stations and convert them into charging stations or work areas for customers? It would greatly improve the airport experience.

Located close to the city and on a metro line, DCA is the best option when visiting Washington DC!

Outside security offers many restaurants and stores.

Terminal is broken down in to multiple smaller wings with some shops and food options after security.

I love this airport. It s very easy to get into and out of, especially for being right next to DC. Since I live in Arlington, it s easy for me to just get a taxi over. But, the metro stops right there, which I ve used a few times when I was in DC. I hate airports in general, but this is one of my favorite airports in the world.
