Terminal 1 is the greatest thing since sliced bread! Ease, simplicity, security and speed...4 BIG reasons to always fly SouthWest from D.C.!
Services a little slower than other places, staff not very friendly
Well what can I say, I've never flown before and this was my first flight. I was nervous, my knees were trembling in fear, so I used the restroom and felt better. The restrooms were very clean, the soap dispenser was filled, toilets were all good, the drain was cleared, and the floors were mopped. I would also recommend the, on flight restroom, it gives a nice cozy feel to the spectacular craft of the airplane. 5/5 from me!
Bad airport hate it american airlines is the worst airline ever i dont recommend it the workers are mean, they threw us out of the airport because our flight got cancelled ad we were on stanby (which we made it gladly) they never gave us a hotel or anything! I hate it so much!
Friendly staff, easy pick up and drop off. Facility is decent but given the great employees at arrival they get five stars. First time to rent with Avis after renting from one car rental company for many years. Will go back to Avis again.
Very pleasant this morning, airport personnel very helpful.
What a pit and a sad legacy to one of our great Presidents. Smells like piss. With certain airlines you have to take a bus just to get to the other side of the terminal...same terminal! Its 2017 and I'm on a bus to get 5 gates away. Otherwise you have to go through security. Terminal B food options are very slim. Just an awful place. Avoid connecting here at all cost.
My experience was pleasant. Convenience is key when visiting DC. If you're traveling for business or leisure this is your airport. Ten minutes in an Uber and you'll be in the middle of it all.
They got us through really fast however it was a bit run down.
Train station close by and it was a very nice airport
Always a pleasure flying out of reagan clean and safe
Central, easily accessible. Beautiful facilities, good commercial premises at reasonable prices.
DCA is good small airport. My only gripes are getting out of the airport requires good sign reading (or a gps) and you are locked into the terminal you are leaving from.
Best place to fly into if you are staying in the District
It is an unusual airport called a triangle with three runways crossing.
Ronald Reagan Airport is way better than LAX in Los Angeles California,I never inspected it
Most convenient DC airport, lines are always manageable
It's a domestic Airport. It is very convenient for the people living in DC or nearby area.
While the location and proximity to DC is great, the airport isn't. Terminal A is a total zoo. Very poorly designed. It's overcrowded with too many gates and not enough seats. On top of that, the design of the terminal makes it feel even more crowded. All the gates are close together in a circle, with a restaurant in the middle. If you are flying out during the afternoon, good luck finding a place to sit. It took me 10 minutes to find an open seat in THE WHOLE TERMINAL, let alone my gate. Additionally, there is no food court, or any designated spaces for restaurants or stores. They made one section of the main hallway (right before all of the gates) a giant restaurant and store with and it was very chaotic. on top of that, there was no seating anywhere, so the only place to sit down was by all of the gates or the restaurant in the middle of the gates, and that was if you could actually find an open seat. This place needs to be redone so badly. Also, security was pretty long for the size line they were dealing with. The line wasn't long at all, but it still took 30 minutes to get through.
Clearly an older airport; however, it's well maintained and very convenient
Not my favorite airport... But it's better than some.
TSA is 1000% clueless here. I travel all over the country and have put up with some bad individual agents, but this entire airport has no clue on how to use the equipment, how to communicate to their superiors or funnel customers into lines correctly...... so much wasted time
I'm just glad this stop isn't in my routine travel locations.
While moved quickly, why the hell we had to dump $8 worth of water we bought before our previous flight, an hour flight, on transfer begets me! AND WE BARELY MADE OUR TRANSFER! Ridiculous.
Many food options. It was very busy and crowded and the gates for the smaller planes were impossible to get near.
Upon arriving it was a nightmare. Those busses they have to take to get from terminal to terminal are useless. Pretty sure if I hoped on a snails back it would get me there faster then the monkeys they have driving the bus. Second of all the whole staff is so incompetent it s sad. This airport is a joke and if you end up there I m deeply sorry for you.
American..efficient! But I requested wheelchair assistance & the airport helper asked if I was going to tip her. How Rude
Nice clean airport, easy to navigate. Staff is friendly and helpful. Easy to get in and out. Good reasturant selections. Train access to grand central. Close to monuments, and white house and arlington cemetery. Make time to see the sites. Its ashame if you dont. Hotels close and reasonable
I was really surprised about how much I liked this airport. It was crowded, but there was enough flow and outlets/seating to make it manageable, even for travelling on a Friday. Even better: despite the crowd, the wifi worked perfectly.
Good service, large garage, there is always space on the upper levels, very clean inside, excellent bathrooms ... it has the metro station, the blue line less than 100 meters away, and its parking for long seasons It is quite cheap 8 dollars a day and there is a bus service at all times.
Nice and tidy airport. It offers free and quite fast WiFi unlike many airports in this country where I have been.
It is a beautiful place to watch the airplane Washington International Airport. I went to Orlando Florida 2 months ago and it is really awesome and beautiful. I flew on Southwest Airlines 767 and I really love it so much.
Conveniently located by a metro station, and was fairly quick to get through security.
This is a great way to get into DC. It's small so it's easy to get in and out. Lots of places to eat and easy access to the metro. Security lines are rarely very long.
Nice small airport that is extremely easily accessible from the DC area, both by Metro and car. The staff is friendly, and helpful
Not the worst airport but still pretty bad. They had few selections of food to begin with and now many are closed. Shuttle buses are a pain as well.
This airport is alot nicer now. I remember when they remodel the airport.
This place is pretty tiny, but they move at a fast pace. It is separated into smaller sections, and you have to take busses between or go out and back through security. This is how we found out they move fast, though. I don't see Starbucks in this terminal which I find interesting. I think there was one in the third terminal, though. Several food places and stores in this small terminal, and the place is pretty clean.
I used to work there. Its the closest airport to DC and favourite because of easy access. The yellow and blue metro lines pass through the airport. Its small and easy to navigate. The rental cars and garage is across the main terminal. It is 10-15 min ride to DC downtown.
Well designed airport super close to DC, easy to get in and out of and better food selections than most airports. My preferred beltway airport for sure.
It's fine. Professional employees, some food options, water dispenser for my reusable bottle. I am spoiled, though, being from Portland, Oregon with the best airport in the US 6 years running.
The airport is well laid-out, and I had no problems getting through security and finding my way to the terminal. That's all I ask.
Wonderful trip from San Jose through Chicago and finally a soft landing at the Ronald Reagan airport Washington DC.
Thanks to American airlines.
I would give 5 starts to this airport but there is a small problem, the parking for terminal A is super far away. I have flown from here probably 20 times or more for work and every time I have to park in terminal A it makes my day a bit sadder. Overall it is a great little airport for flying in and out fast. You don't have to be there 3 hours before or anything. Usually 1.5 hours is more tan enough. I prefer DCA a lot more than BWI due to it's close proximity to the city and ease of getting in and out. Of course you'll have to pay extra for your tickets just FYI.
Probably the worst airport I have ever travelled though. Make sure to use a different airport if you can.
Take the Reagan off its a deffimation of his character. Not clean at all! Very dissatisfied with an airport that represents our national capital. The bathrooms were just nasty. The seats for a two hour layover were awful. I would give it a one except for getting out of there on time. Is there a reason announcments have to be made at auctioneer speed. Please if you own one of those recalled phones turn it back on so they can account for all of them. Very disappointed, I hope the CEO reads the ratings.
It's pretty and security isn't as bad as it could be. Great selection of pre-flight restaurants and little shops to get travel odds and ends. What more to ask?
The airport itself is great. The traffic getting there is a pain
The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is small, which I love! If you are in a rush, it's a no hassle airport that is both accomodating and clean.
The staff is amazing. You can buy all travel items at self-checkout. Finding terminals and gates is super-easy.
Best DC airport, on metro line and close to everything. Good amenities and restaurants, it is possible to have a healthy meal. Bathrooms are a little groady at times but not horrid. If you get on the wrong TSA line there is a bus between terminals so you don't have to go back through security. Free wifi that is spotty in places.
A grimy airport, that is small and congested considering the volume of people and flights and come through. Selection of food is dismal at best and the staff are not very friendly. Cross your fingers that your layover here is short and your flight is on time.
For the best service I love
It's pretty.
Have a good experience in this airport the gates and the ground transportation are very close each other .
Very close to the downtown and business ,security checking in and out are very fast .
In the future my trips to D.C i will travel via DCA .
Everyone from the baggage people to the front desk workers are so rude. Security pretends they're active military by constantly yelling at people in the crowd. Couldn't wait for my flight to leave so I can stay away from here.
Beautiful on the inside. Seems to be run efficiently. Got right through.
I always fly to this airport, its very convinient because the metro is right in front of the airport, a lot of restaurant
I like Reagan over Dulles since it is quicker to get through security and to your gate. Economy parking is quite a bit more costly though, $17 versus $10 per day.
The good news is that Ronald Reagan Airport is conveniently located on the metro Blue line and there isn't some silly airport stop fee like there is at JFK in New York. They also tell you how long it will take you to walk from the metro to the gate where your flight is leaving from and its about 20 minutes. :-/ no airport shuttle or moving walkways. Also there are 4 separate security entrances, so make sure you're at the right one before taking all the time to go through.
An extraordinary airport, one of the few with history and well preserved, excellent for flights within the US, and it is also very beautiful in its construction and its terminal building.
Terminal was decent however there are no vegetarian/vegan options. I was expecting something to be available because this is our Nation's capital and they should have a variety of food to eat for everyone but alas! If you have any food restrictions, eat before coming here!
I flew into and out of Reagan National Airport when I came to Washington D.C. with some of my classmates last June. It is a very nice airport on the river and everything. My only real complaint is the long lines for baggage check and security, but they weren't too surprising being it was a Sunday morning and there were probably people trying to go back home from a vacation or weekend visit.
Probably one of the easiest to get in and out of , definitely prefer dca over IAD. Parking is closer, efficient tsa prelines, short walk to baggage claim, gates and exit !
Worst airline ever. People working here are so rude. Avoid at all costs.
Remote economy parking lots were closed...have no idea why. And there were no signs ulexcept right at the entrance. My big pet-peeve is bad signage or no signage. Terminal parking is $17 per day. Oh well. Plus, the big Dunkin Donuts is shut down in the front of Terminal C. There is an small express Dunkin at the very very end of Terminal C, but since there was no signage about another dunkin at the far-end, i had already bought a coffee at the other restaurant. Everything else was fine so only took one star off.
In and out and on time. Everyone wore mask everyone nice. Very pleasant trip!
The most convenient airport for DC - walk right to your gate from Metro, or vice versa. Security lines can get a little lengthy sometimes.
Free wifi? +0 (there is free wifi, but it was unusable)
Short lines? +0 (waited 30+ min in security)
Plenty of electrical outlets? +1
Good food options? +0
Clean? +1
Nice airport. Free wifi helps. Lines are not too awful. Food selection has been improving over the past couple years.
This time we landed at the same terminal we leave from. Great!! Now.. .If we could just leave!!!? ? Two hour flight delay. .. ...
I love this airport. It is central, easy to use because of its size, organized, good taxi service.
Was having a tough day and the uninformed staff was rude and unhelpful. Our unaccompained minors were sad to be traveling alone and we were really trying to make it as stressfree as possible. A smile or kind word would have meant a lot but never came. Maybe the whole airport was having a hard day, but I really felt like they didn't even try.
The epitome of the Washington experience Flying into a very crowded and high-volume airport. This one has been around for quite some time and you can tell in the way the seating area is starting to look. I didn t have any delays but it was a really steep takeoff. I think Dulles is a better airport
Old but good airport. No problems getting in or out for our trip
Not the most interesting airport, but a great location to travel from due to the Metro stop at the station makes getting to and from easy.
