Nasty, dirty, smelly airport and the list goes on worst airport in America it s so dirty and smells like someone vomited and they rubbed it into the carpet next time I fly I m going to avoid flying to this airport. Aswell staff just sit on their phones and do nothing probably why it s so dirty couldn t find one seat with out food and rubbish on it, disgusting. Staff are rude and do nothing. Not a good airport at all!
Very fast airport overall. Lots of business travelers. Easy access to public transportation.
There were a lot of travelers in this airport when I passed through; a little too crowded for me. I landed and was picked up curbside by a friend. Everything appeared to run smoothly for arrivals.
Security was fast for a 10am flight, but man TSA wasn't very beefed up. Weird. Nothing special about this airport.
This airport is HUGE!! We got something to eat at the BIG BOWL... Very tasty and very fresh!!
Be sure to check your flight and hate number because sometimes it changes.
I've flown into DCA hundreds of times and honestly, after the late descent clearances from ATC that result in the usual slam dunk arrivals from the west, the river visual to 19 makes it all worth it. There are so many great sights to see on the way in!
Has no stores, food is very expensive and the building is very small and not as pictured. The worst airport I ve been to.

This airport I would say is one of the nicer airports around the area! The interior is really nice, especially if you look up. The airport is not too big, so it is not that hard to navigate and find your way. The food options are not necessarily the best, but you're here to fly not to have a great meal. Anyways, the security line went fast and everything went smoothly, so landing or taking off here is not a bad experience at all!
Quickest TSA lines this side of the Mississippi. The only pain is if you exit from gate 30X and have to get bused to your plane.
This was my first flight during the pandemic and I have no complaints. I flew Delta and we were as distant as possible. All of the middle seats were open to provide space. They gave us a plastic bag with water, nuts, & cookies in them.
Its an okay airport and by far one of the best of airports to fly into when going to the DMV area. I usually fly into BWI instead.
Terrible experience, nasty employees and extraordinarily slow bag service for a non stop flight. I'd rather drive here than take another flight through this decrepit, disgusting and lazy airport.
Worst airport I've ever been to. All the tablets in the world can't make this place efficient. Between being yelled at by food service employees, over charged and confused by the insane payment system and the awful (and sometimes just missing) signage outside and inside the building my whole experience start to finish was painful.
What a terrible airport... Their information desk are no help at all. Took way too long for a shuttle service to get to the retals and the car rentals (Hertz) do not even have the correct gour posted or they just left during their shift...
The National airport is one of the three airports serving the Washington DC metro area. Over time the Dulles airport has grown much larger and with the Silver line coming up will become even busier. The slightly distant BWI has also expanded and handles a lot of traffic from low cost carriers like Southwest
The National airport however remains one with the most character and style. It is connected by the Blue line and despite being in the heart of DC has ample parking. There is the $25 per day terminal parking, the $17 per day economy parking and private remote parking areas that could be as low as $9 per day and take 10-15 mins. to connect you.
The airport has security that is perhaps a notch higher than most other airports. Even though we had TSA-pre, there was thorough examination of the luggage, body search etc. Perhaps because of high profile passengers.
The inside is clean and functional. There are clear signs and other facilities.

Thought I was going to contract hepatitis using the restroom here. Also had secruity come screaming at everyone at 2am to kick everyone out of the gate area and told us to come back through TSA screening at 4am.
Best option for flying into DC. Super close to downtown. Overall, good selection of services. Metro station is right at the terminal which provides and easy and cheap option to downtown.
Convenience, easy to navigate through the terminal,and plenty places to eat.

9/10 you fly through security here, which is a plus. It is also very easy to get to the airport using public transportation. However, when you are flying out of the airport, once you go through security there aren t many sit-down restaurant options. When you come back to Regan it takes forever for you to get your bags.
Only airport where I have seen a rat. That actually gives it an extra star in my book....up from 2 to 3.

DCA is becoming far more efficient. Most of the major updates are complete offering new retail and dining options. Plus the metro station is so quick and easy.
Slow, slow, slow, security. If you are making an early flight, make sure to come early 1 - 2 hours pre-hand.
Such an easy airport. Highly recommend it over other area airports.
