There was an exhibit/gallery that had prominent Canadian works, and all the informational labels were in (I think) Mohawk (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), English, and French. They also had information about the traditional names of the places where each work was done or from. This should be a universally applied practice (where applicable). Well done, AGO.

Also lots of wonderful things to look at! Cemins! Kollwitz! I don't remember it all! Glad I bought an annual pass (cheap pilot programme) so I can keep going back.

Beautiful and very interesting. Spectacular from the architectural point of view contains few European works of great beauty and interesting. Remarkable also the contemporary part in a very dynamic country is certainly important to understand how it expresses itself artistically. Recommended

A huge, easily accessed museum with terrific collections, especially for the Group of Seven artists, though more placards could be placed next to paintings without having to refer to map guide folders belonging to the museum. The special exhibit - Georgia O'Keefe exhibit - was a bit disappointing except for the film. Most of sparse collection showed merely a title but little or no description. Overall, the museum is one of my favorite places to visit when I am in Toronto.

I love the Art Gallery of Toronto. It's one of my favourite places in the city. I love the permanent art collection but the visiting exhibitions are nice to see.

Admission fee isn't too expensive but they also have free hours every Wednesday night, 6-9pm (I've never experienced long lines during their free nights).

Received unfair treatment from security when visiting the Guillermo del Toro, some AGO super fans would even try to do whatever way to stop you saying negative things about this Gallery... Now I see why this place never improved.

Went here years ago and wasn't impressed, however I decided to give it a try again and OMG it was awesome! I think last time it was under renovation so a lot of the museum was closed, however now there is an endless amount of beautiful artworks and exhibitions. I really enjoyed my time here!

Seeing the work of Rubens at the AGO was one of the greatests experiences. Torontonians were very lucky to have the opportunity to see this amazing collection of art. More exhibitions are coming, and I won't miss them.

Great art gallery option to go to. Especially if you're 25 or under, they are offering a free year long pass for younger folks in order to gain a greater heart for art. Honestly, as a new grad, that pass allowed me to discover more about myself, gain deep insight about learning, and gave me a new appreciation for art that I never expected to experience. Especially as someone who hated history and art growing up and never understanding its importance, learning to understand and come to enjoy history through AGO has made this place something special to me for the rest of my life.

There are so many exhibits that you need time to watch them slowly. We happened to be on Family Day and there were so many people. Normally it should be better. The instructions of the exhibition hall are not clear. Can't find what I want to see.

My experience was fantastic! The AGO was quite full the evening I went yet it never affected my experience or the feel of the gallery. The staff were always in sight and incredibly professional! Highly recommend.

First time being there and I loved everything it had to offer. I went with my cousin who is an Art Student and she told me the stories behind each painting. Made the experience interesting.

Interesting, however the architectural layout seems to promote crowded bottlenecks rather than a smooth flow of perambulation. It is also very difficult to navigate and orientate the room numbers when rooms are numbered with near microscopic numbers or not at all. The collection favors a provincialism that results in a severe lack of breadth and variety in terms of Canadian painted art, and nearly no captions accompanying artwork (one has to consult a separate booklet kept in a wall pocket (this is bonkers). And how many Cheverton ivory statuettes are representative of the genre, merely 300, maybe try for 500?

This is a great museum of art from various eras and countries. Fantastic collection of Canadian art like the Moore sculptures. The travelling exhibits that are featured a few times a year are a nice addition.

Went to the Kusama exhibit and I was so impressed. Staff were very helpful and patient despite the large crowd. Art was amazing and very nicely displayed. Cant speak for a regular day here, but I had a wonderful experience!

Give yourself a day, it still won't be enough. We did the contemporary session with some highlights being Emily Carr and group of seven. They also have African masks, European renaissance works. Don't skip the first floor section of prayer beads and miniature carvings, this intricate work is mind-blowing

Unsurprisingly an incredible art gallery with some excellent special exhibits. It s one cost to enter, and an additional cost if there is a special exhibit you want to see. I ve been to a few and was impressed.

Very nice museum including a small part rich enough European art, a fairly important part of Canadian art and a rather uninteresting part of contemporary art.
To see in the basement a rather remarkable exhibition of ship models of the nineteenth century of exceptional quality.

I love the AGO. If I lived in Ontario, I would get a membership. It has a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, with beautiful permanent exhibits and interesting, conversation-worthy temporary exhibits. It makes a great multi-generational outing.
I enjoy the atrium cafe, as it has a great view of Chinatown, and is in the fun glass ribcage, but wish it was better stocked with snacks, and had a few more tables.
I am excited to experience the children's programming in a couple of years!

When it comes to "Members will have an opportunity to be one of the first to see..." their process is grossly inefficient and very frustrating. Members are assigned random numbers when added to the queue - what they call queue isn't an actual queue, it's some kind of nonsense that causes frustration and confusion. Won't renew my membership again. I complained today and the response I I got was a pathetic excuse and nothing else.
