I've been trying to see an exibit here for over a week now with zero help from there customer service, have gone to buy in person and has been sold out twice without updating their website, have called in advance and still never spoken to a customer service rep to pre-buy my tickets. Still haven't seen the exibit. Very disappointed in the staff and website

It's a lovely place for a romantic walk or even a family day. Do check the listing before your visit though. I loved the Reubens exhibition, was superb. They're doing live music once a month strongly suggest visiting at that time

The gallery is amazing with a large collection and variety of paintings. This is definitely a must see if you love art and are in Toronto. The only downside is the gift shop doesn't sell anything memorable.

Went during their free admission evening and loved the experience. For the gallery being relatively busy it was still easy to navigate with plenty of space and handicap accessibility.

The exhibits were well-rounded with a variety of influences.

AGO is an experience in itself. A great place to explore Canadian and European art. If you re visiting Toronto, AGO should definitely be on your itinerary. They have amazing tours for everyone.

It's a great gallery but being from the UK, where art galleries and museums are mostly free and you think nothing of visiting for an an hour or so whenever you're passing, the entrance fee puts me of unless I really, really want to see an exhibition.

I wanted to update this review to say the Del Torro exhibition was epic, my friend and I loved it, well laid out, loads to see and not too crowded as they had allocated a much bigger space so everting wasn t crammed in. Still a bit expensive IMO, but this time I didn t mind. Extra star for that exhibition.

An amazing selection of artworks and mediums. I was astonished by some of the historical pieces. We were not able to make it to the museum, but this satisfied my interest in seeing some ancient pieces. They had on a special exhibit that was amazing and the staff are friendly and we'll organized. Give yourself a whole day to explore as we had about 4 hours and maybe got through 75% of the galleries, and we were rushing to try and see it all! I recommend exploring the basement where they have all of the models boats from 17th century onwards, and the Christian themed collection, I am not religious in the least bit, but the detail put into these pieces was incredible.

Extensive permanent collection plus world class temporary exhibitions, with beautiful architecture and a gorgeous park setting behind the gallery. I have never been disappointed by a visit to the AGO.

One of my favorite places ever, strolling through being basked in world art culture is simply awe-inspiring. Some of my personal favorite pieces have been on display here. I like to go as much as possible, so membership is an utter must.

The place is absolutely exceptional. One of the best gallereis, I've ever been. Though a remainder at the entrance that tickets also available online would help to avoid long waiting times.

A large collection of important works of art. Everything is well displayed in an artistically pleasing building. The only thing missing is some of the grandeur and history of more famous galleries.

The family day activities on Sundays are wonderful, giant foam blocks, craft tables and the usual kid's activity room are all well-uses but it never feels crowded. One of our favourite family hangouts! Added bonus for kids: the newly redesigned Grange Park out back has wonderful playground equipment.

Saw the exhibit Impressionist painting in the Industrial age. Well displayed and informative.
Favorite artists are Monet and Pissarro.
I used the Mobil digital app instead of a paper ticket. Then I had to produce my Membership card to identify myself.
I was not happy. In future I will print ticket since the mobile ticket is not sufficient.
Was embarrassed being on the spot at the front of the line.
I think the gallery should correct this habit.
This is the reason I rate 4 stars and not 5.

I am not a fan of the design of the exterior of this building but once you enter the premises it is tremendous. The displays are exceptional. It has attached itself to the historic "Grange"; the original home of the "Boulton" clan. It's a must see.

Outstanding artwork. Most bizarre, super politicized commentary. Why not describe the artwork, rather than make a political rant? The commentary for almost every piece was laughable. Who writes these jeremiad screeds? Someday, someone will do a study of the commentaries. The cognitive dissonance between the art and the commentary is palpable.

A must-see gallery where the building's architecture is built around the art and not the other way around! Five floors of art from dark medieval enclaves to bright to airy modern exhibiton spaces. Please take a free volunteer guided tour or quick 'art chat' to get the most from the experience. Entry is $19.50 for adults and there is a fantastic shop, bistro and plenty of places to sit.

I went through two exhibits, one on Chagall and the other on General Idea. I was definitely more taken by the art in the second exhibit, but the presentation and breadth of pieces for each was excellent. I also really loved the building itself, this is an excellent piece of Gehry architecture, the staircases in particular are a whimsical delight, and I would suggest checking out the incredible view from the rear staircase at night if you have a chance.

I went there believing two hours was enough time to explore the entire place. However, I was completely mistaken; in fact, I only managed to get through the first level, and there are four levels in the building with artwork in them! I'm definitely going back for another visit and will make sure I give myself the entire afternoon.

Some nice world-famous classics. Good Canadian classics, incl. Group of Seven & Tom Thompson. Decent info plaques. Gift shop too pricey. Spotless and orderly galleries; professional staff. Visitors always very quiet.

Love to AGO. And that was the first time I've been since the pandemic so was a bit hesitant but they stepped up their safety protocol which was good and having booked tickets limited the number of people in the AGO

A well established and respected Canadian gallery with National collections and international traveling special exhibits. Beautiful new extension has extended exhibition space and allowed for a beautiful new exhibit of Group of Seven art. Great collection of European and Canadian Sculpture. A huge gift store and two eating places, plus a members restaurant and lounge, for a modest membership fee, rohbd out the experience.

Didn't expect much but they had great and respectful staff, a cute cafe and beautiful artwork and layout. Even my year and a half old son, who I thought would be bored out of his little mind, had a blast! Super affordable, very relaxing, and good interactive areas for kids.

My cousins and I had an afternoon to spend together and decided to check out the AGO. I haven't been since a field trip back in elementary school so I didn't know what to expect or have any expectations of what it should be like.

We went up the wooden spiral staircase and got some great views along the way. Even if you're not able to fully go from bottom to top I'd recommend at least a floor or two.

I'll admit that I'm not much of an art admirer so some collections and pieces go right over my head but I did enjoy the Group of Seven section as well as the ships on the lower level.

There's a nice selection of souvenirs in the gift shop so resistance in buying wasn't easy. I'll be back to see the Infinity Mirrors soon.

I went to see #AngelinaJolie ( Angie) & #LoungUng speak at the #WITW summit. I got to play second row bodyguards for Angie when she was leaving. It was a beautiful & treasured experience. As for #AGO - I love it and visit as often as possible Have since I was very young.

Excellent art gallery & eateries inside the gallery. Wonderful Canadian artists highlighted. Beautiful winter scenes by David Milne! I saw historical art pieces from the 1100s. The men's washrooms were clean & attractive. Free admission due to my membership with SF MOMA!

Great
