nice venue needs organizing a bit better. pizza makers que right by the only door in and out, why. Also needs another bar as half hour wait every time you want a drink is too long. but was a good night and staff were attentive when they got the chance

They simply do not pick up their phone or respond to queries, They are not flexible at all when t comes to deliveries, and just because they are on an island doesn't mean you have to be mean and insist on what you want. Bad venue. In was going to recommend this venue to a friend of mine, but decided not to as they are nice to my face but nasty to my supplier

I live locally, yet have never visited until I attended an event here.
I booked tickets through a open air cinema site.
The ferry was free there and back. I did not have to wait long for the ferry.
On arrival I was ticked off the list and given a glow stick, for when I required drinks service when it was darker.
I had a very large and comfortable bean bag and head phones to use during my time there.
The bar staff, food staff service and other staff were very professional and helpful.
The drinks, food and cinema treats were a bit expensive, but very nice.
A great experience for single people, couples and groups, dependant on your choice of film and I recommend this experience for a special occasion.
It was a a fantastic view and setting whilst waiting for the film to begin.

2nd time invited to a function here. 1st time in main building it was great this time we were in a marquee which looked good but safety wise it was a minefield. The main floor was on two levels only a difference of about 3" , at the main entrance there is a ramp between the two levels at about 45 degree angle but nothing to warn you it's there. Further along ramp disappears and becomes a step even more dangerous but again with no warnings.
When you cross the lawn to enter the marquee there is a steep ramp up to the decked area outside the tent which wasn't too bad in daylight but after sunset with very poor lighting you take your safety in your own hands. Going down the ramp was terrifying and when you get to the bottom where you believe you are safe there is a pothole hidden by the grass. On leaving to go back to the ferry you have to walk across the lawn without any lights showing the way and there are many potholes to avoid, The torch feature on my mobile was the only way to miss them. All these safety concerns are dangerous to people with all their facilities but my wife who is disabled wouldn't have stood a chance alone.
If ever we are invited to attend another function here we would seriously have to give it a lot of thought.

We were supposed to have our wedding here, but due to Covid-19, we could not have more than 6 people on the island. For the price worth and also with recommendation of the venue itself, we did decide not to host the event on the planned date. We were not given any option of cancellation, only to postpone out special day. Then when it came to cancellation wish, we were told we will not receive any deposit paid back, though Covid-19 was not our fault. The venue then did no longer respond to us and ignored us. I will not be able to recommend this service, nor will I book again. Absolutely not worth the money!

We held our wedding at Raven's Ait Island in Sept 2018. We had booked our wedding 18 months in advance and we had help and consultations from the staff at every step of the process. Laura, the event co-ordinator was fantastic at every step of the process, we were able to organise meetings with her when we needed to and her response to our emails and questions were always swift and always helpful. We cannot thank Laura enough for helping things to run smoothly on the day. Raven's Ait staff on the day were brilliant, they did what they needed to without any disruption or fuss. The island itself is a fabulous location, situated in the middle of The Thames and is unique, with fantastic open lawn area which we were able to utilise and function rooms, that provide more than enough space to accommodate guests comfortably. Family and friends have commented on how much they loved the venue and the whole day. We cannot thank Laura and her team enough for making the day extra special.

We had our wedding on Raven s Ait in June 2018 and have zero regrets about our venue choice! We just wish we could do it again and again and again. All the guests have commented on how much they loved the venue and how unique it was for a wedding. We booked a year and a half in advance and visited the Island several times. We always felt welcomed and enjoyed planning the wedding tremendously. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and meticulous in the details. It really was the most perfect day and we thank the staff on Raven s Ait from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you to Laura and the team for helping us throw such a memorable event at Ravens Ait Island. The venue itself is stunning, and Laura just really helped us get everything perfect with her attention to detail. She really helped to put us at ease during the planning, and was on the ball during the event itself making sure things ran smoothly. Highly recommend this venue

Faded 60s chic that reminds me of the echoes found in the scenes in the Shining depicting the glory days of the films roaring 20's overlook establishment. This island has perhaps as many stories of past events. On a warm romantic summer evening there would no finer place for memories to drift on the breeze and potentially be a backdrop of real rarity. I noticed some building work: renovation is definately needed and bringing up to date can only help. I was there in the winter - probably totally different from other times. The river dictates the nature of the place, a very interesting venue.

Wanted to book for our wedding and arranged a view...

Wanted to book for our wedding and arranged a viewing. I took the day off work and was told at 10am that day, the person who was showing us around was not able to come in. Naturally this frustrated us, so we left a one star review. Ironically, she emailed me about the review STRAIGHT AWAY sighting that she'd been kept in hospital overnight and that it wasn't her fault. No apology at all. I deleted the review after consideration but here's why I left it again. They promised a call back and never did. It speaks volumes about people who cannot keep their promises or word. Would I trust them with my big day when they can't even email or call in a weeks time to rearrange? Never. Would I trust a bunch of people who can not show up due to unforseen circumstances but can email me when they get a review? Never. It begs the question, if she could email me telling me to take the review down, why couldn't she email me the telling me that can't make it? Anyway, I'm sure it's a beautiful venue, but sadly run by a bunch of immature kids who don't know the principles of business.
