I had a good experience with this company. They helped me refinance my auto loan at a good rate. Ultimately I ended up with a federal credit union picking up my loan.

The representative I worked with was very professional and responsive. They did try to get me to go for a new 150k mile warranty that seemed good, but wasn't a good fit for me personally. They removed it from the loan quickly when I decided I didn't want it.

Ultimately I went from a loan with 45 months left to a 60 month loan, but if I continue to pay the same amount, I will pay it off in 45 months and save a bunch of money in the end. Also it gives me that freedom to pay less if I need to for a given month. However, they did offer me a 45 term loan as well.

They were fast and efficient. They got me a cheaper rate.

Thought I would try to refinance my truck payment to a lower rate. Jumped through all sorts of hurdles with paperwork. After 3 weeks loan was turned down. Too good to be true. I would be cautious. They just find you potential banks and sub prime lenders. They ask for ALL INFORMATION on you so beware. Not as simple as they make it appear.

Super easy and excellent customer service. The whole refinancing process was made super smooth and my interest rate is now less than a third of what it was before.

Bait and Switch still alive and well in the US! Got patched through to them from Lending tree. Lending tree was showing a %2.99 auto refi option. I was patched through to the rategenius rep and asked them based on my credit and what information I gave them did it look like I would qualify for the %2.99 ( 816 credit score and a mild DTI with over 50k yearly income) They said that more than likely would. However when they approved me they said best rate was %4.5 and that they have never see a 2.99. Said best they seen was a%3.5 and that was a 36month on a new car! Bait and switch on Both Companies. They use Federal credit unions to fund the loans. Just go directly to the credit unions. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!

Got me a great rate and my payment on my car dropped 105.00 a month.

Lowered my current interest rate dramatically on my car loan and lowered my insurance by $40 per month.

I just switched to rateGenius. So far so good. I have a better rate. The service I received from Robert Coley was superb. They have done what they said they would do. No complaints. Rate is great.

Mostly because it took 3 times for them to finally remove my application from the system and stop running my credit. Also the rates where bad . Ended up getting a rate half as much at a cu.

Other than having a hard time getting a hold of my agent everything was simple and smooth and saved me 2% on my interest rate while lowering my payment!

Rate Genius really helped my situation. Had a 24% rate and they got me down to 12.99%. When you have bad credit, you have to pay more, but it shouldn't be criminal as 24%. Thanks Rate Genius.

I was skeptical, using a service that I found online and had never heard about them before. However, the speediness, transparency, and customer service that they showed me was OUTSTANDING! I saved a huge amount in my auto refinance and would recommend this service to my closest friends and family!

Don t fall for it! Received a preapproval for lower interest rate for car. I Usually don t believe these type of advertisements but they had my car with the interest rate that I was already paying. Somehow they knew who I was and foolishly I believed it was real. The next thing I knew, after I gave them all of my information they said they emailed and stated they couldn t help me.

Better rate found than Cap 1 & USAA offered even thought I have had multiple auto loans with both, with A+ payment history.

I used this company a few years ago. I purchased a car with high interest due to my credit and after 1-2 years, I started receiving info by mail from RateGenius. I was very hesitate to call back because most companies are trying to get too much out of you and it's not a benefit. I finally called 2 years later and received great financing with a credit union. My payment went down by almost 200 and the interest was much lower. Now, the car is paid off and I tell people about this company when they're looking to refinance. I even chose another insurance carrier (which I'm about to do now and it made me think of them) and that was cheaper for the same coverage. I hope everyone else has a great experience and receive good customer service.

Wonderful company! I was hesitant about using RateGenius from Credit Karma but I am glad that I did. They found me a much lower rate for my car loan and decreased by car payment by $108.00 per month. All of the paperwork was easy to read and fill out and Mike Bagot took the time to explain everything to me, And he also answered my questions, and I had a lot of them. HAHAHA. If you have a chance to use this company please do so.

They helped me find a lender and dropped my APR from 18.9% to 4.5%.
A few steps and I was on my way.

Worst financial service ever!!! After refinancing my car in 2018, I had clearly signed for GAP and have all the paperwork to follow it. Now in 2019 when my vehicle flooded they said GAP would not pay a dime because of an "email" I had sent out saying to remove GAP.
They do not even have a GAP Declination paper signed by me which is needed.
I contacted the bank that I refinanced with and they too have the paperwork WITH GAP!!
They also messed up on my paperwork with the bank and did not include the down payment I gave them on the paperwork front cover.
They are a mess!!

No one at Rate Genius wants to help and fix the situation.
I am very upset for ever using these people, they totally screwed me over.

Do not use these people, for they too will screw you over.

I was very worried about getting my car payments lowered. This organization not only did that, but they helped open a badly needed savings account, get GAP insurance, and they also helped me get into a Credit Union, which will help me recover my credit rating. The gentleman involved was also very knowledgeable and helped me through the entire process, including catching any mistakes I made, which amounted to only five pages, and they even helped clarify. I will use them again when the time comes for other big ticket items.

I responded to a letter to lower my APR for my car loan. I filled it out online, got matched up with a local reputable credit union that lowered my rate by more than 3%! Very good, I would suggest giving them a try if you are paying too much in interest. Very easy process, and they were able to get it all done in just a few days. They are totally reputable helpful.

There is nothing wrong with try all they can do is say yes or no...in my case it was yesss...they got my car note lowered

They offered me a very competitive rate. Some of the communication regarding "the particulars" of my needs was complicated, but in the end, we were able to do business. Overall, a very good experience.

Got me a better rate! Happy with my new payments. However, once the loan was finalized, they stopped replying to my emails when I had questions and ignored me. It definitely felt like they were just trying to get the sale and see me off.

The process for saving a considerable amount of money with RateGenius was great. The ability to text with a representative meant that there was no need to weave my way through a number of options on a phone call. Needs were met promptly, and I felt totally confident through the process that it was being handled promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend them to anyone that would be considering refinancing.

I received a advertisement in the mail from them stating they could help me refinance my car and get me a better rate. I completed the application and waited. I received a email the next day saying that they could not help me with my loan. About 2 days later I received a voicemail from them saying that they were contacting me again and that they had a lower rate and better payment for me and to call them back. I called back and left voicemails for them throughout the day and didn t hear anything until I called the last time at 4:30 in the afternoon. After getting a hold of the loan officer that called me he told me that he had got my voicemails and that they had financing for me but that the bank they were using pulled back their offer to review it more. I asked him what bank it was with and he said he didn t know. I looked at my credit report and saw that a financial institution had pulled my credit. So I never heard anything back after that and this morning I just received a email saying that they couldn t help me sorry. Not a good experience no updates on what was going on.

Shopping for a car loan and many lender brokers try to drag you into their product by selectively withholding information until they want you to sign the agreement that was put together behind your back. rateGenius was able to get me the best deal for the best terms with a local provider. They were upfront about the structure of the company and communicated effectively every step of the way. Highest recommendations.

Day after day I leave messages to get a call back but nothing! I'm already approved and cant seem to get a call back to go over the details. Bad customer service already and I haven't even become a customer yet. Kinda makes me wonder how it will be after I become a customer and that's if I do! My agent Ryan must be super busy to try and get a refinance done with me.

If I were able to give them more stars I wouldn t hesitate. I had a 16% interest rate which had my payments extremely high, Jaime got back with me within 24 hours of applying and got me approved for 7% interest. I couldn t believe it, the dealership I went through obviously screwed me big time and had me extremely upside down on my loan, but with the help of RateGenius I feel like I can breathe at ease again. They saved me about $200 less monthly that I can now put back in my pocket, on top of saving me over $8,000 in interest. Process was quick and easy. Everything was done and approved with my new lender within a week. I can say at first it all sounded way to good to be true, but I can say first hand it was heaven sent. I obtained a very good rate for refinancing of my auto loan and the loan rep. was helpful; however, once I began the process of completing the loan, there were some problems with conflicting information and a lack of response to follow up questions. Eventually, everything went smoothly and I would use them again -- the rate they obtained for me saved me over $17/month -- a significant savings to me.

Easy to work with and very good communication throughout the complete process.

Highly recommend. Very quick process and easy to follow.

Rategenius helped me secure a loan at a much better rate then what I had which was great.
During the process they were in constant contact and east to work with to make sure everything was done correctly.
However after completing the process my loan officer was no longer responding to my emails or texts.
And I'm sure they sold some personal info because the number of spam calls I receive since then has increased noticeably.

Rate Genius helped me obtain a lower auto rate (nearly 50% lower interest rate) and a lower monthly payment on my auto insurance (1/3 less). Customer service was exceptional-very friendly and helpful team. Highly recommend!

I have been working on my credit rating and rate genius was able to lower my car payment significantly by getting me a significantly lower APR. Extremely easy process and knowledgeable staff

I was skeptical about Rate Genius, I had never heard of them. Credit Karma suggested I could probably get a better car loan with them. So I started the process, Ede Sosa was my advisor through the loan. When Ede was not available due to being vacation (only about 3 days) Thomas C. helped submit all of my docs. You are given a personal number to contact them, they are available text, email, or cell and they always got back to me as soon as they could. Personally I wanted to save money, so he got me the best rates through NorthCoast CU, we got my payment down $69 and my interest rate down 5% (I was already under 10%, not too bad) I am now saving a total of $1,500 on my loan. The whole process took about two weeks, but would have been quicker had Memorial Day not rolled around in the middle of processing my loan. I have made one car payment so far, but experienced no problems closing my old account, and opening the new. All in all, no problems, very quick to get me in my new loan, loved their service, the knowledge they posses, making me feel secure during the whole thing, loved it.

They were very quick and relentless (calling multiple times a day) about ensuring the paperwork and title were sent over. But after my loan was re-issued to another lender, I was given no guidance and received no response on how to access the new loan and make payments. Very pushy salespeople and very poor follow up service.

Started with no credit bought auto at 22 % interest, rate genius got it down to 5.4 after 11 mos. 4 yrs ago I was homeless, unemployed in sd(dwntn). Found part-time job then full time job, my current credit score w/the help of credit karma is close to 750.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. BEING ABLE TO TEXT THE RATE GENIUS REPRESENTATIVE REALLY SIMPLIFIED THE PROCESS.

I didn't even give them my SSN and they pushed a hard inquiry lowering my credit score. I was only curious so avoided giving all my info but they acted without my full permission.

I was approved at a good rate however upon closer inspection I found add-ins like GAP insurance and they took upon themselves to harass me for extended warranty. Also customer service is terrible as the whole process was a week long. After all of this I simply walked into my credit union and was approved and out of there in an hour. This service is a sham!

Very unprofessional!! They do not follow up, and lie, I would not recommend them. If you do decide to go with them definitely don't let Rodney Bremby help you. Thing seems to goid to be true it probably is. What a joke!

My experience with RateGenius was wonderful. My loan representative was Meredith and she could not have made the process easier. My refinance loan was funded 2 days after initial contact. I would definitely recommend this company for your loan needs.

Absolute waste of time. The paperwork that they require is more than a home purchase. Prepare to spend hours of your time (5+) trying to get everything that they need. You would think that you are buying something that costs 10 times more.

Verified who i was three times by saying my full ssn over the phone. Then they told me i had a credit alert from experian and that i needed to verify who i was again for the 4th time. Buying my house a few weeks ago was easier than the experience i had today.

I've used them for a couple of auto refinances. I knew I wasn't going to get the best rate at the dealership, as is usually the case, so I waited a few months and went through RateGenius. I could have also gone through random credit unions, or whatnot, but they have found better rates than I could obtain at the local credit unions around me. I'd use them again.

I had really good experience with refinancing my car. Their agent called me after I filled on-line application with offers ready. They were able to find lower rate for me (2.5% vs. 7% I had). The only thing is that you need physically sign paper and send it. I wish all can be done on-line.
