First rate experience until I sent the paper work back in. End the end then process was quick and painless. However, once i sent the paper work in, I never had a response to a text or email. Just wanted an update on where on the process I was.

Overall I rate this as a 4 out of 5, whither the number of scammers out there, i really wanted the piece of mind getting a response at the end.

By far the most unprofessional service I ve used for auto refinance. The customer service rep spoke to me as though I were mentally challenged explaining things I never asked and never directly answered my questions. I applied via credit karma offer to lower my current monthly payments by refinancing at a lower interest rate. The offers presented were lower monthly payments with longer terms. The bank/lender basically makes more money Over time with a longer term. Asked for rate quote with Shorter terms comparable to amount of months left on current auto loan. If I have 2 years left I don t want a new loan starting all over paying for an additional 5 -6 years. No response to email so I called and got a generic response related to the lender choosing rates and terms and it s not guaranteed etc. never answered as to whether it s possible or offered to try, it was like talking in circles with a human machine. No thanks. I have no idea how they have all these good reviews. This is for someone with no other options who doesn t mind making car payments for long terms

BS Company!!!!! Spoke with my agent Keith Edwards out of Austin Texas whom was very communicative at first. He asked for alot of information....typically more than any and every loan company/bank has ever asked for for a car loan. It felt like I was closing on a home for a simple refinance. Keith assured me over and over that we would be closing in a day or two and then proceeded to ask for more information to include a picture of my headlights to prove they were HIDs. They are infact, however after sending the last of the requested information I didn't hear anything back but rather got an email stating I was unable to get approved. When I called keith a couple days before my payment was due he instructed me to utilize the 10 day grace period option with the bank and don t stress because the loan would be funded soon. Now I missed my payment date for the first time ever, already readjusted my budget and got kicked to the curb. I recommend staying farrr away from this company. They lead me on to obtain ALL my personal information including social security card and left me hanging.

They advertised on Credit Karma that I'm preapproved for 3.5% fit my car loan, I applied and they called telling they could get me approved for 4.5% which I though, okay, not bad. So i get the papers i need to sign and not the interest rate is over 5.5% and according to rateGenius it was a lender mistake. I'm not happy and I'll never use them again

I do not recommend it, they are disappointing, the first thing they do is run the credit, without consulting, or saying a priori an estimate, after weighing on having an excellent credit, they make me a ridiculous offer

Had a great experience refinancing my 2017 Toyota with rateGenius. They did a great job finding a perfect lender even though I was upside down on my original loan that saved me over $100 per month.Their communication throughout the process was steady and the new loan was done if a matter of days. I highly recommend!!!!

The Rate Genius representative that handled my auto refinance did a great job. This was a seamless transition, and I went from a somewhat sketchy finance company to a top of the line company, and they saved me almost $120 a month!

Dan harasses me with phone calls all day long. I answer and say I'm not interested and hang up. He then harasses me over text message saying "Thanks for hanging up on me". Very unprofessional.

The process was extremely fast and easy. This was my first time doing a refinance without walking into a brick and mortar financial institution and i was very pleased.

I feel like this is the Travelocity of car refinancing... except better, since I rarely refinance a car, and had no idea where to look.
They found a much lower price than I could find on my own. It was nice being able to text them pictures of the documents they needed.

Draw backs: I felt like the guy was really over the top selling the gap insurance. When I told him I was opting out (for a few reasons) he told me I was being financially irresponsible. Another drawback was the hand off to the lender. No one from either party informed me when the deal was official. I had to call the new lender to see if I needed to make a car payment to my old lender still.

They are not organized. I've been asked repeatedly for information and documents that they have already received. Also makes me suspicious about how trustworthy they are. Regret giving them personal information.

Don't waste your time,its another 3rd party, they will call you to tell that they are great company but you can not get the loan,sorry.very sad when they bothering you just to get your info just to run your score my score went down from 709 to 663

Great customer service! I got a lower payment on my truck. They got it done fast and communicated with me thru-out the process.

I spoke with the person through their online chat and discussed the fact I did not want hard pulls on my credit if I was going to be denied. They ran some numbers and told me there was a very good chance. At first I was approved but needed to come up with a 1000 down. I was unable to do that as well as my car payment. They kept looking and I was approved and it dropped my interest rate from 16 percent to 5.75 percent and my payments are now $70 less a month.

Rate Genius has saved me plenty monthly and overall in interest. They made refinancing my car and switching my auto insurance as easy as possible. The reps I worked with were knowledgeable and very friendly.

The process was relatively painless. As long as you pay attention to what documents are required and follow their instructions. Rate Genius is great on communication. When I needed something emailed they were right there. The overall process was fairly smoothed. Yes I would recommend them if you are loooking to refinance your vehicle.

While they did do loan it was a horrible experience. Started out well but then passed off to different people. Hard to reach. Arter approval keptwanting more things. Direct payment never set up. 7 phone calls and hours of time to get done. When trying to call back the phone mailbox was always full. Then hung up on. No chance for options. I called 6 times always full and no way to leave message or transfer. When i did speak with loan rep I was promised a call back confirming issues fixed. No call backs and issue not fixed. I would NOT reccomend this compamny at all

Very positive experience, I went from a 8.4% to a2.6% .I decided to raise my payment $5.00 a month and cut my total payments by 12 months! Just bought another vehicle and will be calling rategenius again very soon. Thanks for the quick easy process rategenius!!!

I am. Very displeased with this procees rate genius is not a bank they are brokers they shop your info around to other banks which lowers your credit score. Then they send you a non binding email with what they feel would be your rates as a soft run to lure you in, then you wait for around a week and no word just more emails with directions i was qouted a 3.5 percent rate later on was told 6.1 which is 1 percent higher that what i have now. Thumbs down if you recieve anything in the mail from them shred it or toss it in the trash.

The experience was absolutely amazing and really smooth. RateGenius got me the best auto loan rate. It was exactly as advertised. The paperwork was daunting but the instructions were very clear. I followed. the instructions in completing the paperwork. Once submitted, I had nothing else to do. RateGenius did all the paperwork with the Lender and my auto loan got refinanced. The Customer Service Rep was really good in updating me onto status via text messages and emails.

I was referred to this company by Credit Karma. I was approved and was placed with a rep who verbally misrepresented the terms of the contract. When I alerted him to this, I was told that he "would review the recording and get back to me".
Understanding the nature of this company, I decided to go to my own credit union to see if I could do better. I did, and I cancelled my application with RateGenius. Since then, I've received misleading emails stating that I was denied, and phone calls with passive aggressive salesmen who will say what they need to make their quota. If this is your only resort due to the limitations of your credit, then try only if you must. But record the call yourself. Also, try your own bank.

I found the experience of auto refinance very positive. The staff was knowledgeable and responsive. The process was easy and the rates were great. I was able to lower my monthly payment and also get GAP insurance which was not part of my original finance.

Fairly easy to go through the loan process and get my truck refinanced. I bought an extended warranty with the refinance and still have not received my paperwork. It's been over a month. I've called and left messages several times and have not received a call back.

Rate Genius is truly a genius organization. They reduced my car payment by almost $290 a month allowing me to access more cash flow day to day.

Rate genius found me a lender out in California I am in FL that cut my rate in half. I went from paying 13% to 6.75. Highly recommend!

The guy I talked to was rude and input some information incorrectly which led to me wrongly getting approved. When I told him the information was wrong he said "yeah looks like you're not approved." In a horrible tone and hung up. My credit is amazing and there's no reason I should've been denied in the first place. So happy I took a hard inquiry for that....

Update to the response below: I wasn't mad because they ran my credit ONCE, but they ended up running it multiple times AFTER I SAID NO LONGER INTERESTED. And that was a lie about "Only count as one" I read my credit report and it was MULTIPLE

Told them I was no longer interested in auto refinancing and STILL RAN MY CREDIT MULTIPLE TIMES! SPAM/SCAM!!!!

Don't waste your time, Mr Jason Ananias, waste 2 weeks of my time asking for documents, sending proposals, and when i said ok, i want it, didn't answer me anymore, ive been calling, sending emails, every time you call to ask, they transfer with that person to listen the answer machine, asked for a supervisor, they say there is not supervisor, until one day he said by email, he was super busy, so i said, if next Friday is not ready im looking another lender, and 1 minutes later, he said the lender didn't approved me because my taxes, i have my car half paid, never one late payment, very good income, 6 figures, i have score over 750 and 800, LIAR!
