Great rates, a little confusion with the paperwork, but they work hard to get the job done.

Saved me a ton of $$ refinancing my Jeep! The process was pretty painless, the people I dealt with were friendly & helpful, & my payments went down almost $50/month. Highly recommended!

Refinanced two vehicle loans using their services...went from 11.9% And 8.9% APRs to 2.74% through PFCU (Philly). Saving around $10,000 in the long run. That's pretty amazing for someone like me with lots of debt.

Super easy to work with, got my rate down from 6.5% to 4.2% without any hassle. Paperwork submission was simplistic and did not require a bunch of steps and I was able to do most of it online. Very streamlined operation.

UPDATE!!! They finally got a hold of me! All questions were answered.

Hope someone that works in corporate office reaches out to me here. Just recently refinance my truck through rate genius. Been trying to contact Meiby Sanchez and Keith Moos in Austin,Texas. Which they have NOT answered any of my calls or Emails regarding application. I just want my update of what is going on and I can't even get that. Oh but their quick about wanting paperwork and card information for our one time fee of $25 to become a member. At the moment I am NOT happy. I shouldn't have to get a hold of corporate office just to find out about a damn update.

They do not disclose proper information to the public. If you are unemployed you will be denied no need to try and apply for refinancing. This is not known until after they hit you with a hard inquiry against your credit. For a refinancing company with such high standards this is merely unacceptable. Do better to inform the public of this knowledge before letting them apply and having their scores dropped for no reason.

I was contacted by Robert Castaneda, RateGenius when shopping for a new car loan to refinance my Jeep. The new loan worked out and it was a success. I have my interest $ cut in half with a fantastic credit union and I can make my payments and build my credit. Thanks again for your help and time. Do not hestitate refinance today!

I would not recommend this company after they made 2 hard inquiries on my credit I was informed I was approved, after 30 days of waiting they called and stated all the Alabama claims were paused. I called the company they told me had approved the refinance directly and was done with the entire process in 4 days. I now have 2 unnecessary queries on my credit from rate genius and they have yet to refund the amount they drafted from me. They were an unnecessary middle man to something I easily could have done. I would give 0 stars if I could

This was a nice experience I was helped not only to get a better rate but also with getting with a credit union at the same time. The options were tailored to me and everything went seemless as I followed what was instructed of me to do. I would recommend this to others.

I received phone calls, text messages and emails from RateGenius - specifically a Bethany Rupert - until I submitted my application. Since, she has been unavailable and the people I do get on the phone tell me she is on break or out for the day or has taken the day off ect... I've called a half dozen times, spoken to other "Loan Officers" all whom say that to answer my specific questions I would have to speak with Bethany. I received an email 1.5 weeks ago requesting additional information - I provided the information and still no response. I called the bank whom will be providing the refinancing and they told me they have not received any additional information. These people are not Loan Officers - they work in a call center and have no knowledge of your specific case or contract. They're trained sales folks, not financial professionals. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. I suspect these high ranking reviews come from within the call center itself.

They were helpful to a point. I was told I was approved for the refinance. The day I went to download the paperwork to get it notarized she called me to tell me the company came back with a counter claim that was different and now they wanted a down payment. I had already switch my car insurance to the cover requested, So now when I went back to change my insurance back my credit score on both sides dropped 50 points. Because of this my car insurance has gone up over $100 a month more!

I guess I got denied since I haven't heard anything from them in more than a week.

My experience with rateGenius was amazing! It was easy and fast and the agent that assisted me was extremely helpful. I was approved quickly and the rate I received was way better than I thought possible. Give them a try and you will see for yourself. They will give you top notch options.

Said there was no fee, charged me $50. Said it was to fund my savings account with a new credit union. I've never seen the $50 after they took it. They said they would look into the issue about 10 times. No word back

The process for refinancing my auto loan was very easy and smoothly. They also paid off my previous auto loan very soon after I signed all the documents.

I received a letter in the mail saying that I was pre-qualified for a loan with 5.84% which is several points lower than what I am currently paying due to my credit score rising close to 100 points since the origination of my original loan. I filled out the form only to be contacted 2 days later by Anthony who states great news. "Your approved.". He then proceeds to State the term of 56 months and 11. Something Percent. Both the app and term are higher than my current loan so I decline. Several days later I get a call from a female who says it looks like we can't help you out but how would you like to lower your rate on auto insurance. I declined stating that based on the experience with their company I wasn't interested. Wish i had never applied because my score dropped due to their inquiries. Stay away.. bait and switch!

This was an easy service and got me a lower interest rate with a local credit union. The service was fast and friendly. The reason for 4 stars was because there could have been more thorough written instructions sent to me to complete the application packet. I wrote a lot of notes from the rep and it would have made more sense for him to have emailed me the details after going over it. There also could have been better instructions on setting up monthly draft payments and an intro to the CU they placed me with. However, all in all I was pleased with the company and am happy with my refinanced loan.

This was my first "online" refinance, and I did it for my 2011 Ford F-150 truck. All-in-all pretty easy process, and they were able to find a really good deal for me. I will say that it helps the process go smoother if you are fairly computer savvy. There is a lot of downloading, printing, signing, scanning, emailing of documents. Otherwise, you can print and mail too.

Great people who took care of what needed to be done and would text me or email me if there was something they still needed to complete the loan.

They managed to drop my interest rate about 13% and were great with helping me out! I was worried that it would take me longer to pay off my vehicle due to the high interest rate but luckily they helped me out! I highly recommend getting in contact with them!

He was also up front and honest by letting us know every little detail pertaining to the process. He also got us GAP insurance which made our payment much less. The application process was quick and simple and I had a list of refinance options within a few days. I had originally talked myself out of refinancing when I received the options until I received a call from Rick Reyes with RateGenius and he knocked some sense into me. He explained all of the benefits to refinancing and showed me how easy the process was. He had very thorough answers to all of my questions. I recieved my paperwork that day by email and had the loan finalized within 2 business days. I would highly recommend working through RateGenius. They know what they're doing and they're truly out to help you in any way they can. I now have a much lower rate and car payment.

I really enjoyed Anna, who helped me initially. She was very kind, clear about what was going on, and went out of her way to get this going, talking with the other person who was analyzing the paperwork, if need be.

They gave me the run around for the longest time, and eventually decided to retract their offer due to a typo...without telling me. They just decided it would be best to stop contacting me if they decided they can't help...don't use them.

Rate genius was very easy to deal with... It helps to be familiar with the refinance process because of the paperwork you have to complete for the loan. But even if you are not familiar they are very patient with the process .. If you are familiar the process goes quickly. Got a great rate, cut in half from around 6% to 3%.Highly recommend.

They did an authorized hard credit pull, stay away from them they are a shady outfit.
To clarify I NEVER applied with rate genius, it's ridiculous that they would use that as an excuse.

This is my 2nd auto refinance with Rate Genius. They are so incredibly easy to work with. Everything goes by so quickly and easily. The process is very tailored and streamlined. Do not Trust! RateGenius. Unless you want a Hard Inquiry and a quote that will offer you nothing but a manipulating rate that will have you paying more for your vehicle loan than your original.

I received a letter in the main with a pre-approved rate. I went online filled out there questionnaire with personal information and it brought me to a page that said someone would be with me shortly. There was no confirmation email no text message no anything sent to me. I called the help number number on the page it left me at and they could not find my application I just finished. I then gave them another chance to do the application over the phone and they said they would get back to me within a couple days. It has been 4 days now and I have not heard anything from them. For a company that wants you to trust them with a lot of personal information they do a terrible job about trying to keep your trust in them. I will never use this company again.

I had a pleasant experience until I was hospitalized for an unexpected pregnancy complication, I told Ashley Jefferson that I would revisit the refinance when I was out of the hospital. She continuously tried to pressure me to refinance while I was in the hospital worried sick about my unborn child. I could not believe it. I was honestly going to finish the refinance as soon as I could, but I will not be promoting a company that cares only about profit and not about the human beings that fund it. Disgusting.

They are great at lowering payments but you'll pay more in interest. This is a payment trap into which the uninformed will fall.

rate genius is terrible. i asked them on several occasions to remove my info that i never gave them and i STILL receive emails and phone calls. I don't even have an auto loan. Save the trouble and go to a real bank in person to finance or refinance your car.
