The customer service is definitely subpar. With my credit they were able to get me a savings of $15. Did I mention my credit is excellent? And the sales person, yes, I called him a sales person, was just trying to push me to agree to the conditions of their loan without even looking at the amortization schedule. What a joke.

This was such a scam. Was looking to refinance my truck loan and as a frequent user of credit karma saw that I had very good approval odds as to refinancing my truck. Set up application and turns out I was denied because my truck is too dated. Why was my approval odds so high and then be denied? They could of just told me before hand that my truck was too old. My credit will now take a hit for no reason. Very disappointed with this company and will be filling with the BBB
Super easy to do online when you dont want to miss any work to get a loan
I initially was not impressed. I received a blanket email saying they couldn't help me with my refinance. I then received a call later in the day from a loan officer who said after they rechecked they were able to find a lender. My interest rate dropped over 15% on my vehicle and the transaction went seamless and without issue. Once I was advised my new load would be funded it was completed within 4 business days (due to a federal holiday). The paperwork was all easy to complete and my adviser was through in explaining the process.
I got a much better intrest rate. With the new lower rate I was able to pay off loan faster.

The refi process was painless and took 2 days to complete i am saving over $200. per month i am beyond happy Kudos to Mr Mike Youngblood he is an asset to Rate Genius i am already refering family and friend to Rate Genius.
RateGENIUS worked very well to get us a much lower interest loan (and saved us $$$!!!) than what we had on our Chrysler 200S, even with a switch in Agents who were working on our loan application,

My experience was amazing. My interest rate was previously at 13.14%, they were able to get me an interest rate of 4.24% and I saved a lot of money on my interest rate. Very disorganized. Difficult process. It took twice as long to get the loan done than expected and I kept having to send the same docs in. Then they didn't release my title for months after the loan was written. Lots of hoops to jump through.
My rep, Oma, was friendly, courteous, and fair . He was also easy to understand.-A very good experience.

I would have to say this is probably the easiest process I have ever been through. They refinanced one of my vehicles and saved me so much money, that a week later I let them refinance my other vehicle and I saved even more money. This is a great company and I would recommend them to anyone. Also ask for Andy Lam he is by far the best at what he does. I ll definitely do business with them again.

Terrance was great and helpful. Walked me through the process and went over all offers. RateGenius got me a lower rate when refinancing and kept me posted with every step.
I applied for a loan after learning about this service from Credit Karma. I applied due to extreme dissatisfaction with my current lender. I applied and was approved quickly, receiving the approval message on a Saturday. It was my weekend to work (12 hours shifts, so unable to contact anyone before Monday). But before I could contact the agent to make final arrangements on Monday, I received a message that my loan application had been closed already. Have sent emails and left voicemail messages for agent, but no response. And received hits on my credit rating. Extremely disappointed with this. Very poor customer service. Will take my business elsewhere, and will now ignore any recommendations from Credit Karma. Lesson learned.
Beware, if things didn't work out you will end up with multiple hard inquiries and never get good interest rates.
Communication is very bad, they don't give a damn in communicating to customer about multiple inquiries, just uses fancy language, "shall we proceed with another lender?".

according to a text mess. received on 5/8 my application was approved.... several phone calls and messages later.... several emails to gentleman in the text - as of today 5/20/18, I have yet to speak to someone... Oh, and I keep getting hard inquiries in my credit report... very, disappointed.

made it easy to refinance my new vehicle I had just purchased. They lowered my interest rate by 1.05% which over the life of the loan is 2000.00. Communication was excellent by Michael Youngblood. He explained every step and followed up.
These comments got to be fake and produced by the company. I started this process in the beginning of August and as of September 12th my old lender still has not been paid off. During the process they told me it would be around 5 days from being approved for my old lender to be paid off. Smh. Things to prepare for when using rate genius; 1) the original interest rate they quote will change when it's time to sign your new loan 2) it will take more than a month to settle the old loan. 3) Expect to get several inquiries on your credit report. 4) if you have questions after being approved by a lender, good luck with reaching that loan officer again. I didn't need rategenius, I could have found my own lender to refinance my car. My credit score was 747. I didn't need them to bring it down by sending my information to any and everybody. I thought rategenius was the lender. Do your own research and go with a company YOU want.

Never received a call back after I left a voicemail for the loan officer that was assigned to me and then they just closed my application. I think this is a scam. Would not reccommend.

This company is horrible. They under paid my original lender leaving a balance on the original loan. We called, they blamed us and the rep named Anna hung up. Fortunately for us our previous lender helped us resolve the situation on their end. Rate genius doesn't care about any issues once they've made their money off of you. The customer service is terrible! I am heading to the Better Business Bureau's website to file a complaint there against them.

Customer service was a joke, the reps that did my application for refinance was very un-patient and unpleasant to talk to. Reasons for disapproval was a joke especially when I am military coming back from a overseas Pcs where I really was UNABLE to refinance in Germany at the time. So now that I finally got my car back to refinance rate genius had zero understanding for service members. I'm spreading the word not to use this service now.

If I could give this company a negative star I would. I have been dealing with them for 1 month shy of a year now trying to get my updated title post refinancing (needed new name due to marriage). It is now 5 months (that s right 5!) since my tags have expired causing me to not be able to drive the car I m paying for due to them never sending me the title/DMV packet so I can tag my car. The ONLY thing this company is good at is wasting time, never contacting you back, and being so thoroughly incompetent that they can t even keep up with what misinformation they have previously told you. Do not go into business with them thinking it will be cut and dry.

I contacted Rate Genius when the time was drawing near to renew both my auto and home insurance policies, and am I ever glad I did! Patrick, my company representative from Rate Genius, is one of the most reliable, friendly, and professional people I've ever had the good luck with whom to work. He did everything he said he would, including calling me back numerous times at scheduled dates to quote, make changes, and customize my policies to suit my needs. And, after many changes (my fault for being indecisive) and with no hint of frustration on his part, Patrick was able to save me over $3,000 a year on my homeowner's policy and over $1,600 a year on my auto policies!!! Yes, these figures are correct. I am still shaking my head over the amount of money I've wasted over the past 8 years that I stayed loyal to my other insurance company. Thousands of dollars wasted. Please, do yourselves a favor, call Patrick at Rate Genius and have him work his magic on your quotes too. You won't be disappointed. Tell him I sent you...he'll love hearing that. I told him I was going to sing his praises, one for every dollar he saved me this year.
Do not use this company, their communication is horrible it took 2 days for them to contact me to tell me they couldn't find me a better rate and that they willl try a few other companies and get back to me, I never heard back from them then they closed out file. While reviewing my credit report they ran 6 inquiries on my credit report and when I called in they said it was from a offer that i refused. I was never given an offer. When I called and asked why they would run 6 inquiries they stated it was industry standard, which is nonsense why would you run 6 hard pulls on someone s report knowing that it would eventually affect their credit score especially when you are in a business that uses that same score to get rates. Bad bad bad

I keep getting email after email asking me to write a review so here you go. First, don t solicit customers for ONLY 5 star reviews that are public. The process was easy in finding a new lender, but I had a couple questions and the person helping me wasn t very good at responding back to me. Bad communication unless he was waiting for something from me, then he picked up the phone.

I responded to an advertisement in the mail about lowering my interest rate on my 2017 pickup. Rate genius was not only able to lower my interest rate on both my pickups they also reduced the term by 12 months with a lower payment. The process was very simple and took a total of 4 days to complete. I'd definitely recommend giving them the opportunity to help.

Currently have been working on trying to get things done with rate genius. It s been a week. I have filled things out twice and sent ups twice. I have called for an update. I have emailed for updates it shouldn t be taking this long. Today makes a week! Capital one took me 24 hours!!! So angry at how slow this process is and that I have been left in the dark.

Experience was horrible my rep was Jose Segovia communication sucked asked for a different rep several times. Was told the process went through I no longer need to make my payments and then received an email saying it didn't go through 3 weeks later his assistant Gab was as helpful as she could be but she could only do so much if Jose is your rep just find another company thank me later if it's not him maybe give them chance but I'm just so over them at this point smh
