I originally wrote this under a different email, mistakenly, so I transferred it to the proper email.

So far things are not as quick as hoped. The final stage is incredibly slow and confusing. Luckily, rategenius responded not only to my previous review but my loan officer is trying to expedite the process. My loan officer and call center staff have been incredibly helpful.

Overall, the company did find a good rate for my car refinance but there are too many people working on the case at a time and I think that is why this final stage took so long. Ideally, I would have worked exclusively with my loan officer over being transferred to the loan processor in the final stage. Likewise, there were far too many different ways to upload and send in documents. They need to streamline that process by setting up some sort of account instead of using several different emails with links.

Now that my loan officer smoothed things over I can finally give a positive recommendation and hopefully the process is more straight forward in the future.

RateGenius is Awesome. My car loan interest was little above 15% and they dropped it on 3.29% only. I highly recommend RateGenius for everyone suffering with high auto loan interest. Thanks to Lane and everyone else who helped me completing my whole process of the Refinance.

Got me a really great refinance loan I needed very quickly. Process was very easy, they did all the work. Fantastic service.

This was absolutely the most simple process ever! My car refiance flew along so smoothly and everyone I worked with was very helpful and polite.

Absolutely the worst financial experience I ve ever had. Submitted all the paperwork and signatures. I was told everything was good to go don t make your next payment we got you. Then I was told I needed more paperwork and signatures and then more paperwork and signatures and then two years worth of taxes. Now after a month and a half because I make more money than I did in 2017 and 2018 that is a pay discrepancy and they could not move forward. I have purchased over a dozen vehicles in my life and I have never had to show my taxes to purchase a vehicle including this one. AVIOD THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY WILL LET YOU DOWN. I will now go ahead and make my only late payment on the vehicle I was refinancing. Thanks for nothing rate genius. Should call the company scam geniuses .

I was assigned Leah to help me with my refinancing process. Leah provided me with the best service. Any obstacles that would come up, she found a solution. She genuinely cares and found the best loan rate for me.

The process was great and went very smoothly. I plan on using them again, to help with another car of mine.

Easy transition, skipped a month of payment,
Lowered my interest from 3.9 to 3.5 and lowered my payment from 502 to 340, I'm satisfied.

Seemed alright at first when I refinanced my auto loan, even though it took over a month for the whole process. I ended up selling the vehicle and have been trying to contact the loan officer Frank Mendoza from rategenius about getting a refund for my gap insurance, he hasn t responded to any of my emails or called me back, don t waste your time.

Anthony Hubbard and Lula out of the Texas call center were awesome. They were very informative and answered all of my questions and gave me all the info I needed for my newly refinanced auto loan. Great customer service!

The reason I am rating RateGenius two stars is because they made the online application easy. However, it quickly became a more difficult process once we actually started having to send documents. I had to go to UPS 3 times to keep re-doing paperwork that they had messed up. It also took them 5-7 days to even check employment as well as process the paperwork. Eventually the process took so long that we passed the 10 day pay off with our other loan company and then we had to pay the remaining balance of interest plus late fees. We started the refinancing process August 21 and then it was finally finished around September 10th. It should not take that long to refinance! Take my advice and look somewhere else!

Employees were very helpful and knowledgeable in helping me obtain auto re-financing...bringing my interest rate down to 9.24% from 24.99%. The process was easy and fast. Very impressed with all aspects. Thank you Rate Genius!

The loan officers that I worked with were unorganized, unprofessional and wasted almost a month of my time. Would never consider this company again.

I refinanced my vehicle with RateGenius recently and their customer service was great. Oma Dawn was a phenomenal employee who really went out his way to make sure I was getting what was promised. He owned up to a mistake they had on their end which I was able to catch and he handled it appropriately and professionally. At first I was ready to cut my loss but reached out to him and it could not have been handled any smoother. If you're looking to refinance they are the place to go.

The easiest transaction ever!!! They got my vehicle refinanced with a great rate and payments that were within budget. Angela G was the best!! Answered all emails promptly and followed up w/ everything. I highly recommend!

The first time I wasn t approved but they didn t stop there. They called me a month later & said that they have a credit union that would finance me. It was work for me to do as far as sending them what they needed. The loan was approved/completed. They paid my car off & my new payment with the credit union is $62 cheaper & the intrest rate is lowered by 6%. I highly recommend them!

Matt Linville made the experience of refinancing my truck with a rate of half of what I received from the dealership a terrific experience.

Do your due diligence and research/cross compare with multiple lenders and options etc instead of taking credit karmas free analysis of what these guys can do for you. There loan officers work on commission and arent in it to help you just themsleves.

Referred by Credit Karma, a few of my local credit unions rejected my re-finance because of "unsuitable terms". I was credit challenged and had a 16% interest loan with Santander. RG found me lender and dropped it to 11%. Now my extra payments go towards the principle. It was a pretty fast process, paper work was easy and came with instructions. If you were hit with a high interest loan, give these guys a shot. I refinanced after 6 months with Santander on an 09 Mustang GT. Payment dropped from $356 to $274. Customer service was pleasant, I was honestly expecting the worst.

I hesitate on this kind of stuff because of uncertainty if it s legit, But once the process started they guided me along the entire way and made me feel comfortable with my information. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested.

I am very satisfied with Rate Genius. The agent that helped me, walked me they every step of the re- finance of my car. I'm very happy with the much lower rate they were able to get for me,but about 50% lower and then they added some bonuses U wasn't expecting! I'm more then pleased with them and would have no problem referring them.

If I could rate them with no stars I would. I do not recommend you to refinance or even try to refinance you well most likely be left in the dark or given excuses and if you try to reach out to the person that is refinancing your loan they won t respond or call back. Take your business elsewhere do not waste your time here.

I was nervous about refinancing my car for the first time. A lot of paper work and such but the loan guy I had, Jason was very helpful and very patient with me. He also was quick with returning my texts and phone calls. I haven't made my first payment yet but everything so far is ok.

I was granted a GREAT rate for my loan, the person who helped me was VERY helpful and kind, and I'm satisfied. The only issue I had was that my first person that was assigned to help me was not very pleasant and he left me like 3 voicemails. I don't need 3 voicemails to start a process so that rubbed me the wrong way at first. LUCKILY he was on hist last day of work and the new person that assisted me was a complete breath of fresh air.

Vs Clearlane - I reached out the Clearlane first and they matched me to a credit Union and took all my details for processing. After 48 hrs they called me back and said that Clearlane can t help. I talked to RateGenius immediately and they helped me get a match.

RateGenius uses UPS for document shipping and UPS lost my package. I decided to go to RateGenius office in person and handover the documents 2nd time. Being in Austin I was able to go there in person. Great team and customer service. I wish they had a place to drop off the documents. Nevertheless- I got the rate I was looking for.

I do not like to post online reviews much. However, as many of you do I get online to read reviews of products and services that I feel are necessary to purchase or sign up for. With this is mind, like many of you I signed up for RateGenius through credit karma after reading reviews. I even understand that skepticism comes along with signing up for things online. However, after getting approved to lower my interest rate from 10.5% to 4.25% I have been very satisfied. So far the gentleman Jonas Walker has been helping me through the whole process. Yes, there is more paperwork than I had expected however he has answered all of my questions. The way customer services is supposed to be. I have been so happy with the service so far that I have even got my wife s car refinanced with him. Just like mine we dropped hers from 13% to 5%. So RateGenius I expect my $50 a piece lol.

Now on another note, I do not understand why so many people are complaining about a company not refinancing them when they are unemployed. No company would take that bet. To blame RateGenius for this is crazy to say the least. So for a negative survey on that is just terrible. I understand if you filled out the application online but you also have to understand that this is an approval pending qualification. They still need to see proof of income. Which they did for both me and my wife when we applied. Once all the paperwork was in we were good to go.

So again, thanks Jonas Walker for everything so far. Also, this is no computer written message. I am a legit customer and so far have been very satisfied.

I had my car payment lowered by over $11 per month through Rate Genius. Originally I thought it was a scam, but they are great!

Ellery Harris gives this company 2 thumbs up!!!! effortless process, my rep Ms. Toni Torres has certainly made my Christmas Card List!!! She went the extra mile, called and emailed me on her day off. Followed up every single time I called her, and Most of all they got my BMW 5 series payments down over a hundred a month and cut my interest rates in half saving me Thousands of 5 years!!!!
