I was super excited I just booked a junior suite, with a view! Until I walked in the room. I looked around and phoned the front desk to see if their was a mistake because what I booked and what I was in did not match!! The front desk attendant told me if I come down stairs she ll show me that I m wrong. I told her I have the screen shots to show. She proceeded to tell me that I was very mistaken! Then when I asked if I could check out since I had only been there for two seconds, she told me she ll have me checked out by the time I get down stairs without a refund & hung up the phone. When I walked down stairs to ask for her name, which she refused to give me. When I asked for the corporate telephone number, they said they do not have a corporate phone number. After speaking to the front desk manager I was finally allowed to leave without being charged, or at least that s what I was told. Until I called my bank 2 days later & was Informed that they are not releasing the funds.

When I asked for the hotel manager I was then given a business card with a number that that rang twice & responded with voicemail box is full & disconnected

This is a nice place to stay. It's clean and it's comfortable; reasonable priced. That elevator is key though. It was out of service when we where there in September or October 2019.

I guess the neighborhood and the staff ran this hotel down. It was a completely different experience from my first time here last year. My main issue is why do all the doors lock at night and the only way to get in is by holding your key up to a camera... The staff isn't friendly enough for me to want to talk to them everytime I want to reenter the building. The red roof inn is nicer and doesn't require a deposit with free come and go access. It's Metro Point not the Hilton...

This 10 floor hotel had one functioning elevator. To top it off, I stayed back in June 11th. I was told they needed a $100 deposit in my card. We are now at July 8th and this hold is still on my card!!! I have called multiple times and left messages. No one ever answers the phone in their accounting department. I have never had this issue at any other hotel. Save yourself the headache and stay elsewhere.

The doorway area and bathroom have automatic lights as well, so if you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, prepare to get blinded.

The only positive, breakfast was good. The seating area was really crowded though.

Hotel is in a great location. I booked the hotel for my family and I where it was not expensive but also very convenient to go to the sights of DC. The hotel itself was definitely out dated, beds were smaller than usual? A lot of wear and tear in the bathroom as far as the tub and sink area. Its a great place if you dont mind a hotel that s not fully updated.

We stayed at this location for only one night. Found that the rooms didn't appear to be cleaned well. Hair on the bathroom floor and a band aid was found in the middle of the carpet so it wasn't vacuumed well either. The stay wasn't horrendous enough to leave but if we had to stay more than one night we would have left. They had only one working elevator which meant that we had to take our suitcases down four floors because they had a large bus of people leaving the same day. I found it poor service that the gentleman at the front desk didn't even ask how our stay was as we checked out. I had to mention the poor cleaning to him but he didn't seem too concerned. After our stay and viewing what was offered for the breakfast we decided to just leave and get breakfast on the way to our destination. Would not recommend this location. While it was a good deal, you get what you pay for.

Hello, I am currently a guest at your hotel, and I am curious what happened to the 2nd floor. Walking down to find my room in the hotel, I came across the 2nd floor, which was boarded off and blocked. Another entrance was cracked open, so we looked in. Inside were old hotel rooms, boarded off and had cement floors. My question is why? What happened? Also, why is the patio for our hotel just a small, cement pad staring at another cement wall? I was scared and confused.

The hotel itself was ok. The room was decent and the bathroom was clean. However, the young man working when my husband and i checked was awful. First there was a problem with my husbands card because he couldn't verify his name. So now its a big thing we possibly cant go to our room. Then on top of that the gentlemen was very rude. It just seemed like he was over it. Then later on that night we had a concern about the $100 hold on his account. So the same gentlemen was so dismissive and rude answering our question as if it was such a no brainer. No help just rude.

Long wait at front desk with only 1 clerk checking people in. I finally get a room and the ac doesn't work. The ac turned at full blast kept the room a crispy 78 degrees (more like a fan). I requested another room and the 2nd room had the same problem. On my way down from the elevator I spoke with a guest who had the same problem as me (he was also on his 2nd room). I request a refund at the front desk and I was promptly denied by Jarrell hale. Apparently no one in the building had the authority to issue a refund at the time (yet they have no problem taking your money) 2 star hotels have better customer service than these people. Expedia said they would issue refund and just had to talk to metro, of course metro didn't answer for the whole 13 minutes that expedia tried calling

The hotel front desk people were alright, but everything else wasn t. I stayed three nights, the first night (Sat), I came back at ~3:30 A.M. after the bars in D.C. closed, no problem front doors weren t locked to the hotel. Second day, despite the do not disturb sign, the staff in fact came in at 11AM. That night I left after 11 to get some food, came back doors were locked but they have a system of showing your roomkey to be let in, alright, no problem. 3rd night, at 11:06 PM I attempted to go to the lobby because I had a question, there was a random security guard posted on my floor (the 3rd) and he says I can t leave my room after 11??? What kind of joke is that, not only that but after he asked which room I was in and I answered it took about 3 minutes for him to actually grasp what I said, because of his poor english skills. The hotel called my room at about an hour later randomly, and though I answered, nobody was on the other side of the line. Beyond that the rooms are outdated, especially for the price point and the class of hotel its desperately trying to be. The bathroom lights are by a sensor instead of a switch and in fact, turned off while I was in it. The air conditioner at least in my room couldn t keep up and made a loud rattling noise. The elevator was half broken, the side that did work smelled burnt. There wasn t any stair access, so you had to wait even though I was one floor up. Hilariously floor 2 didn't exist, and there s a huge bubble in the ground right before the elevator without proper signage. I think the attempt was a wet floor sign, but the bubble isn t wet and instead should be a watch your step sign. Overall a very inconsistent trip, only to be topped off by the mother in the room next to me yelling at her kids to wake up at 6 AM (technically not their fault, I m just really mad about the rest of the stay). I m a passive guy, but their service sucked.

I wanted a room for a night. I looked online the price was different from what front desk said and also the clerk told me that hundred dollars will be automatically taken out my account and will be put back in 7 to 10 buniesss days because of the security deposit. I'm in military. I never heard anything like this before.

Now I can't say the hotel I stayed in was the best, maybe a little ghetto, and the parking lot had NO cameras. And the rooms felt a little cheap. Other than that, there's lots to do in the hotel, like a small restaurant, a gym, and even a snack store.

There with a school group, clean rooms, no complaints except..the only cereal choices were Corn Flakes or Raisen Bran....might think about more cereal choices..... otherwise the breakfast was hot and fresh

I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend when we were visiting the DC area for a Washington Redskins game. The lobby and restaurant/breakfast area were very nice. They have their own lot and we had no issues with parking. The hotel is close to the New Carrollton train station so we were able to easily take the train when we went into DC. I believe they even offer a shuttle to the station, but we didn't use it. Thankfully the hotel is very close to FedEx Field and we had no issues driving to or back from the Redskins Game.

The room itself was also pretty good. The furniture was nice. The one curtain though was thoroughly ripped and wasn't even usable. There were no overhead lights in the main area of the room, just a stand up light and two small desk lights over the bedside table. This made the room pretty dark. The carpet was coming up off the floor in a line in front of the beds.

The bathroom was separated into a sink portion and then a portion with the toilet and the shower/tub. The sink portion had good lighting, but the only lighting in the toilet and shower portion was directly above the shower. This made it very dark in this portion of the room. There was no towel rack close to the shower, so we had to put towels on the toilet during our showers. The tub had obviously been re grouted and was multiple different colors (see photo) and was pretty gross looking. There was also black spots and portions on the tiles at the top of the shower, also gross looking and worrisome.

They do have a free breakfast with a few options that included eggs, sausage, grits or french toast, along with toast and a few cereal options. It was better than some hotel breakfasts I've seen but it wasn't great. And the toaster was very slow and took 10 minutes to make a piece of toast.

Arrived to the news that I would be sleeping on a cot in the "Executive Suite" (a meeting room on the 10th floor) because Expedia had "overbooked" the hotel - not my problem! Their engineering team couldn't get my TV to work, and their wifi conked out after 15 minutes. Woke up to the worst shower pressure I've ever seen in the developed world, and skipped the free breakfast because I just wanted to get the hell away. Was told the operations manager was going to call me to make things right. Still waiting by the phone.

Great stuff.

But furniture and linen are old.
Room was not clean enough after previous guests and linen on one of the beds looked used

The lobby was dirty and stank, 1 microwave for the entire hotel. No breakfast room was very poor, no premium channels on television, TV was not clear at all. Save your money this place is ghetto and the owners are cheapskates.

I wish i could leave a -5 rating. This place is horrible. Its outdated. Staff is rude and very unprofessional. Breakfast tasted old like they keep serving the same left overs everyday.
There were cops on location at least 2 or 3 times a day. Its ghetto
Besides that a big black guy who says he was hotel management came knocking on my door like he was the police. I was half dressed so i asked him whats going on . He said when u get a chance i need u to open the door. I have to check the fire alarm.. right away i knew it was b.s. but i opened it cause he was persistent kept knocking like he wanted me to open the door naked. Once inside said that he had reports of smelling smoke. I laugh cause no one in my room smoke. There was no smoke smell in my room . My friend was in the bathroom naked he made her open the door and was trying to make her come out of the bathroom. It wasnt until she told him her clothes were in the room that he said ok and left did not get charged a smoking fee. So i say that was harrassment. When he left my room he didnt apologize or anything he just left. What a horrible hotel with the most ignorant people working in it.

Massive problems with the shuttle service !! Although you should actually call according to the advertising flyer 15min before we were comforted to report to us again on arrival at the metro station. Then the shuttle arrived at a 3 (!!) minute drive just not and we were told after the third call, we would not have been there (at the exact same point where we were already 3x successfully in and out), we indirectly accused of lying. Three people are not mistaken in a noticeably aged, white minibus. After a 12h-Washington day we are then finally after the expensive phone calls over an hour after our first info from the train to the front desk but still picked up ... And the service is advertised the extra - bad. The rest is just as described in the years, carpet, furniture and curtains "spacky" and a bit tired, the breakfast just standard. We would book somewhere else next time.

After checking in while bringing in our luggage through the front door another hotel guest decided to pull the fire alarm. My wife and I saw this visually happened right in front of us. Let's understand that this happened at 11:20 p.m. at night causing bells and alarms to go off constantly for the next 30 minutes tell the fire department showed up and turn them off. Now I know this has nothing to do with the hotel and it's really not their fault but it happened. Ice machines were located outside the elevator on every floor but the only ones that were working were on the 8th 9th and 10th floor. Me and my wife were located on the 4th floor. Outside the 4th floor elevator was a trash can with a dirty diaper in it that remained there for the two nights that we stayed. Lovely smell. Those were the bad things. Overall not a bad price room the bed and the shower is all clean comfortable.

I was a guest at the Metro hotel on Jan 31st with my girlfriend. She had a very important appointment the next day. unfortunately our phones went dead and we did not have our charges with us. We wanted to call for confirmation of the time for the appointment. Our room phone was not working. We call the front desk. The man at the front desk was not cooperative so my girlfrient went down to get help to call. He was rude and could not assist her. I went down myself and this was about 5 am, he was just sitting down watching basket ball game. He was so rude, we had to go outside at that time and charge the phone in my car. I decided not to patronize the Hotel again. Customer service was lousy.

Exterior hotel looks good ignoring minor issues that my room phone wasn't working. But my experience has been really bad. I was happy that I booked here but I wasn't happy the next morning when my wife experienced bed bug bites. I informed front desk in the morning and they agreed to change the room. When we were back in the evening I was shocked to notice that the new room is even worse than before. It had lot of stains on carpet, no proper sheets on the bed etc. The front desk said they are not responsible for that as its the house keeping issue. Front desk said all other rooms were booked and they will not be able to move me to another room. At 10pm in the night I was in the reception with my two little kids and all my luigage without a room. They just gave a rude response that the hotel is completely booked and there is no room for me to offer. After a huge argument they offered me another room. Now again the room phone wasn'tworking in new room but atleast am happy that I dont have to spend in same room.
With bed bugs issue being reported, the front desk didnt show any seriousness and this is definitely something hotel management and other customers should be seriously concerned about. I had two little kids and was scared if they would get the bites. If it was some other hotel, am sure they would have upgraded and probably refunded me for that night when we had issue.

Stayed here this past weekend for a day. Ryan was very professional and helpful. For the area this is the best hotel, however, the breakfast is horrible. The waffles were disgusting. The eggs were more like powdered eggs you would get from ihop unless you ask for shell eggs. The sausage was tasteless. So I suggest going somewhere else for breakfast. I gave them a 4 out of 5 because of Ryan's wonderful customer service.

I haven't stayed here for awhile l was here for a Wedding. The place was clean well appointed the staff was polite. They handled the reception without mishap. If you need a place it seems as good as any of course not being affiliated with any hotel chain that honors and gives points is a bummer. But they have breakfast in the mornings and a bus to the metro station. Not bad at all

The staff are terribly mannered, so disrespectful and poor all the way. Very! very!! poor and it is a shame.. There's this terrible smell everywhere - tough to place what it is... If the rooms smells like this, I wonder what their kitchen will be. I will not advice anyone stay here.... I can't wait to leave tomorrow.
