It's something you should experience. Just know you are paying for the atmosphere not the food. The food is fast food status with a misleading presentation. I got a turkey club sandwich that was missing the bacon... when I told the waiter he brought me two pieces of bacon on a plate and said here's your bacon. Never going back unless I have my kids with me so they can experience the atmosphere.

Food is good and my daughter loves the atmosphere BUT you have to roll the dice on how long you ll have to wait could be 20 mins or 1 hour or even 2 HOURS. This restaurant really low on staff and is not the best with time management. 3 star because the wait time is RIDICULOUS

One word, VOOOLCANO! That dessert is something else.

The Mojo Bones ribs are surprisingly fall off the bone tender and really good tasting. Always a neat atmosphere and good service. Catch the fire shooting out the top of the building at night before you get seated.

This place is always fun to come to. But the Galveston one is By Far our favorite. The jungle ride inside is always a big hit and the food is good ( but super pricey ) At the end of the day your paying for the cool experience, which I'm fine with. Make sure to ride the jungle ride every time you go!!

Rainforest cafe Galveston on the Seawall, we went ...

Rainforest cafe Galveston on the Seawall, we went on Wed June 25th and I would give 4 stars but the waitress was not very nice. She had a foreign accent and I could not understand when she talked. We are in Texas and if you hire someone with foreign accent please train your staff to speak the average American English accent.
Also, the waitress sounded mean, rude and pushy. She was even argumentative. She offered to become a member of the Laundry' s plan, in a way that is pushy, in a tone of voice that is school director bossy, not like any other restaurant. If she hates her job, she shouldn't work there. When I asked her to bring us a volcano, she said yes but not now. I was not asking now, tnough, off course it's a dessert. Then I asked her to bring plates to share the volcano, and she said:" I have to bring you plates, I have to do that anyway". - man! She could have said: yes ma'am. Also, the worst, I ordered a vegan black bean burger which cost me 13 dollars, with a side of mashed potatoes, and a side of fries, and she had to tell me that they were going to charge me for the extra side, (which I already knew that because it's on the menu), she probably doubted being a Latina mother, -I was with my 2 sons-, Could I afford 3 more dollars for extra fries??? Omg, also they served my vegan burger on a basket and brought me fork and knife. So I do not eat my burgers with my hands when I am at a restaurant, so I was trying to use the fork and knife on the metal basket and the paper they put was breaking and the food was falling under the basket. Then I asked her for a plate, and had to explain my problem, and she looked at me totally puzzled, then she went and brought me a small plate!! Then I returned it, and asked for a bigger plate to put my burger. She brought me the plate, and I had to do the food exchange by myself, making a mess. She did not come back to pick up the basket. I was very furious by the whole interaction. I enjoy the environment of Rainforest but you make this place feel uncomfortable when a young lady talks like a stock broker at Wall Street, or the London Bank. At the end, before she brought the volcano, she even asked me to pass her the plates, so I guess she couldn't reach on one side of the table to get my plates. Off course my tip was not generous. Also the boy at the waiting booth said the waiting list was about 40 minutes or less, so I took my sons into the Ride, the ride is less than 10 minutes. When we were in the ride they send me the text that my table was ready, what??? Why did they say 40 minutes or less? Or leass, means 20 or 30, but they have this already to make people go in the ride and in the shop. Very well then. Please train your young staff to treat ladies and anybody, with respect, and her job is to bring the food. She was saying a lot of things in a foreign accent, so I had to ask, are you her to take our orders? (Or to sell something), I understand they push the drinks, and the Landry's membership, but we just wanted to have dinner and have a good time. The least thing I wish when I am on vacation is to be treated like that in a restaurant. People from Texas are kind, nice, warn. Not ice cold bossy. Please train your staff to be warmer and more welcoming. I have been in so many other Rainforest cafe and I do not know why you guys do not train your staff. Other nice restaurants, the waiters are nice and kind, they take the plates away, they do not ask guests to pass the plates, if there is a plate modification, they trade plates by getting gloves and doing it or take it to the kitchen and bring it well served. She had no idea.

I took my family of 9 ranging from age 6 to 79 and everyone enjoyed their meal and the experience. The burgers were great, and my husband said the pastalaya was worth the money with great cajun flavor. The waitstaff was attentive and upbeat. The balloon animal creator was fantastic to watch and the kids loved the things he made.

Can't say enough about rainforest food was great the server was great by the time we went to go take the tour the lady didn't give us a chance to adjust ourselves to get a picture and she was quite rude then when you go to buy the picture you're standing at 1 instead of them having a sign saying no you got to go to help you that's not very organization at all

We began to worry when it took 10 minutes to get a waitress to find our table for our drink order but after that it turned into a really nice meal. The food of course is a little pricey in a theme styled restaurant but the food was good and plenty of it. After the initial not having a waitress at the beginning, after she found us she was attentive, friendly and made our visit pleasurable. I would recommend this restaurant if you don't mind shelling out a little for the atmosphere.

Excellent service! Uggy was a GREAT server and the chef that made our food made the best ribs and steak. The ribs tasted great and fell right off the bone. The steak was perfectly cooked exactly how I wanted. Beyond my expectations! Will FOR SURE come back!

Worst experience ever the only highlight was the balloon man. The server became argumentative when I asked why three other tables had been served their food before us and they arrived later than us. Food is subpar I understand you go for the experience with the kids but when a server argues with the customer the store has issues even brought it to managers attention as well

Fabulous experience! My daughter is 7 and absolutely loved the restaurant. The river adventure ride was a little scary for her though. I would recommend the ride for 10 and up unless your kiddo isn't afraid of anything LOL. Make reservations if you dont wanna wait 2 hours! We had a reservation and went straight to our table. Awesome waiter! Affordable food as well.

Our first time experience with the Rainforest Cafe. It was fun, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and the animals decor.
We had lunch, I had soup, husband had fish tacos, it was delish.
Very family & kids friendly.
They also have a bar and a really cool gift shop.
Price is good.

Beautiful place, amazing animatronics but it's a bit pricey and there's a very limited menu which is fine if it was good. We had a party of 14 so there were dishes all across the menu ordered. All the food, for the high price, could have been a whole lot better. Everything was bland, the steak, shrimp, grilled chicken, Pastalaya (although there was some spice, no flavor) fries, not even the chicken nuggets had flavor. The service was excellent though, not an empty drink or unused plate anywhere. I wish I would have got our servers name because he was TOP NOTCH! Best service I have ever had!

Nice

Wait was outrageousoutrageous, food was over priced for quality and service was horrible. Never will I come here again I was excited to have a good time with my family but it was the worst experience. And on that note all the stalls in the womans bathroom and no toilet paper.

This is a typical Rainforest restaurant, the "jungle" ambiance is just awesome and very unique, even outside the restaurant they have a very colorful "volcano" simulation, with great sound and special effects. If you take the optional jungle tour inside, it can be fun for the little kids. We went there on a Friday night, so the place was very crowded, despite the fact that is a very big restaurant. You may have a long wait before being seated. I like seafood, but the dish I ordered was only so-so. My daughter wasn't too excited about hers either. They also have the typical burgers, salads and sandwiches if you don't want seafood. Overall, I recommend going to this place for the unique atmosphere and decor, but maybe not so much for the food.

Great experience for little ones but the food is over priced and not recommended. If you're planning on visiting a rainforest cafe, keep these three things in mind:
1, Your little one will enjoy it with a sensory overload although some may be frightened by some of the noises or the faux lightning storm.
2. You have to walk through a large gift store before entering the restaurant and your little one is going to want to buy every toy on the shelves.
3. Don't expect much from the food but expect to pay an avg of $18 or more an entree.

We had such a lovely time here!! Even though it is more aimed towards families with children, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The kid themed activities were not overwhelming, they have ambiance for adults too. Our server Anastasia was very gracious and her service was wonderful! The food was delicious as were the cocktails. We had fun seeing the fish in the aquariums and the animals around the cafe. The thunderstorms were my favorite part. We would definitely come back.

The new server was ok.. the hostess and her staff was horrible. The sides were served cold and the manager did nothing about any of it. That was a wasted 3 hrs for mediocre food at best.
